Hi dear sisters. Nancy , Yeahhhhh! Congrats to you. Hope your chest feels better soon.
Sue. Oh my gosh. I bet that was quite a scare.. You poor thing. Temples are sooo tender. Please take it easy. Well , at least you got to vent your fears. But please , not so physical next time!
Judie , So sorry you have had to go through so much grief. It is so overwelming. I pray that your heart can heal and you can find love once again. You so deserve it. Hugs to you.
Lisa , hey girl , sounds like you and Dennis had a great time. Did you get to have the heart to heart? Ah-oh , sounds like you did "get" something!
lol Have a good evening.xxxxx
Hi Shirlann , you are so lovely. And what a lovely story. Thanks for sharing. Boy , wish I could find a man to come pick me up on a horse and take me away!

By the way , "Help me get through treatment" , there is a thread if you ladies don't know , that was started as a Tribute to our lovely Shirlann. If anyone would like to go there and share. I know I just happened upon it. Shirlann , you have helped sooo many in such dier need. I mean trully , we are so broken when we come hear. We have just got some of the most heart wrenching , fearful news. And you have been here for us all. Thanks again Shirlann. Oh , I love what Erika from Canada wrote. xxxx Melody

Congrats Nancy! Hope the burn heals quickly!
Sue! OMG, how scarey! Time to slow down a bit now. I hope you got some good pain meds because that just sounds like it really hurts.
Cathi, I'm sending good wishes your way. Thinking of you.
Hugs to you all!

Oh my Sue - GEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, well at least you got to vent, and then have a laugh. But I sure hope you are feeling well - not a bad headache or such.
I can't even begin to express to all of you how much your kind thoughts and inspirations have meant to me, I am just a bit weak in the knees these days 10/17 is approaching fast. I know that I have made the wisest decision I possibly can - enough is enough and waiting for "the next shoe to drop" is not the way I choose to live any longer. Sooooooooooo thank you all, I am gonna try and just focus on the party we are having Saturday- I get to Disco my brains out again (wish you could all come) as I expect I won't be "shaking it much" until New Years after next week.
I LOVE YOU ALL -THANK YOU.
Sue - watch your step!!!
XOXOXOXOXOXO

Sue, you crazy woman! Slow down, sweetie!! Do you have one killer of a headache at this point? I hit my temple really hard with the edge of my car door a couple of years ago, and my head throbbed for days. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling! Please take it easy. Okay??
Congrats Nancy! It's such a relief to be done, isn't it? Do you have much of a burn? Mine was minimal, but I still peeled a bit and the skin is still three or four shades darker than the rest of me.
Cathi, I'm glad you're feeling better today. You'll continue to have good and bad days--even a year or more from now. I have been feeling so tired lately. Of course, I keep wondering if bootface is back. I hate living in fear this way! Blasted bootface!!!!!!!!
Take care everyone. I love you all!
Hugs,
Karen

Sue, hope today went better than yesterday no more bumps to the head!
my boy is now in NY, close to Buffalo! He called me Saturday from Chicago while he was waiting on the flight to Buffalo. I asked him if he wanted his 3-in-1 winter coat he bought Christmas 2006 when he came home and said it would be nice but before I could get his new address, he had to hang up to catch his flight. Last night we swapped some text messages and I again asked for his address. He sent it to me and it is costing $8 to ship it UPS Ground.
It is almost time for me to go home. Check in again tomorrow.

Okay, Sue, what is a BLONKER????? We are all learning that we did not really speak english at all, just thought we did! hahahaha
Sue, any cuts to the head bleed like a punctured spleen. I had 3 boys kinda like you, and one or the other was always getting some horrible head injury. My 3 year old Marshall fell down the BACK side of the slide and bit completely through his lower lip. I was totally appalled. Then, in the emergency room, they blithely told me they don't sew those cuts up, so for a week he would put his tongue throught the hole. I almost did not make it.
Love all you sweet, sweet girls. Shirlann

Hope everyone had a good day -I was sooooooooo busy with work today did not even have a second to think sad/negative thoughts (well maybe negative thoughts about some of the arrogant attorneys I work with - UGH!!!)
Hope your head is better Sue, Oh Shirlann I had 2 girls but my youngest (now 26) was always doing something like your boys, she split open her chin one day on her bike -oh gosh just awful, they sewed it up but the DR then told me they use as little numbing as possible on small children - oh the wretched screaming in the ER - I could not take it her dad had to stay with her as I went out to throw up.
Hope everyone has a great evening and a happy tomorrow.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

OMG! Can you believe this. I thought I was done...but they FORGOT to tell me they planned boosts. Not just me, though, the techs and nurses, too! I asked my techs and they said, nope nothing in the papers. I mean, my techs were all, "Last day. Last rad. Aren't you glad it's over." and I had a discharge meeting with the NP and got papers about stuff, and a fond farewell. And then two days later a call... come back in, please.
Well, it's my life that's on the line so I'm willing to go back...shorter tx so I'll do it at lunch. But wow, I'm gald I can arrange to do this after-the-fact.
-
Oh Nancy that stinks, but as you said iit's your life, how many boosts - I had 6 I think. Be sure and take good care of the burn area, my boosts are what actually created the biggest burn issue.
XOXXOXOXOXOXO

It's late so I will check in again tomorrow.

Good Morning Sweeties, Well it is early, and I have to work today. No Fun. But, I will be back to finish up my packing tonight. Hurray! I am moving into my little place tomorrow. It is exciting, but, I am a little nervous about being on my own again. I will adjust. Well, Sue, I hope your doing well. I just have not had any time to sit and read here. Soon, I will be able too. Cathi, I live in Florida too! I am in Lutz. It is always nice to see someone here that is close by. I do love all of you angels here. And, I hope you all have a beautiful day. I will check back in soon. Bye.
-
I have read through this thread as best I could... I have laughed and cried with all of you, and now I would like to join you. I still have tears in my eyes. This group really gets it. I cannot believe I'm sitting at my desk crying. Deep sigh. More later. I need to get my act together.
-
Cathi all people have legs up to their ass!
Sue I am up and at work! Make sure you take some time for yourself today on your day off.
Everyone is talking about children who were always cutting their heads, my little brother was one of them. he has a scar over his eyebrow where he fell on the corner of the coffeetable, a scar under his lower lip where I pulled him off the fire truck at a Waterball/fireman training session because my mom was ready to go home but he wasn't (my dad was a volunteer fireman) and many others I can't remember. Oh last year, at a tailgate party he hosts at the local AA baseball team, he gashed the top of his head and the rescue was called but by the time they got there the wound had almost stopped bleeding thanks to some first aid given by my hubby and some ice on the area. He refused to go to the ER for stitches. He didn't want them to shave his hair so the EMT basically taped a gauze pad over the gash and he wore a hat the rest of the night, he didn't want to miss the game! That is a committed fan. One of the other members of the party (with the team) even offered to take him to the trainers to get them to stitch it up.
Nancy Why were you the last one to know! I would be highly upset to think that I was done, they gave me the paper and all then get a call you need boosts!
Shari, you are welcome to join our group. As you have read we have pulled together to help others who are having a hard time with their dx. Some of us are several years out from dx and some of us are newer but we all try to help each other with kind words of support.
I really need to get to work now.
Sheila
-
Well Shelia the problem I have is my legs seem to being swallowed alive by my ass - LOL
Welcome Sheri - you will find, support, love and even laughter here for sure.
Well Kaloni we are neighbors, I don't get over that way to much, but Lutz is a nice area for sure. Although I work mostly from home we have our corp office in Tampa but in the Forest Lake area just over Pinellas/Hills County Line - if yeah ever want to come to the beach just let me know.
LOVE TO ALL.
-
OMG!!! You guys are cracking me up today! I'm sorry your legs have been swallowed up by your ass, Cathi! That must be painful. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always had a very flat ass, but with all this weight that I've gained, it's taking on a totally different shape. I'm not sure I like it--my jeans certainly don't!
You sound excited about your move, Kaloni. I hope you absolutely love your new little place. I can't wait to get into our new house. If things go as planned, we should be starting to build within the next month. Cross your fingers for me!
I feel so sorry for those of you who've had to accompany bleeding children to the ER. Portia had a scab come off in the back of her throat about a week after she had her tonsils removed. She was spitting up blood. It scared me to death! We've been to the ER a couple of times with Chase. The first time was when he was about four days old. He was dehydrated because my milk wouldn't come in and he wasn't getting enough to eat. Stupid boobs were a pain in the neck already back then!! He also stuck a crayon up his nose one time when he was about two. The tip broke off and we couldn't get it out because he was strugging so much. Ahhhh....fun times!
Bless your heart, Sheri. Of course you can join our group. Welcome!! I see you were just diagnosed a couple of months ago. Are you having chemo? Radiation? Pease tell me you aren't going to lose that beautiful head of hair! If you do though, don't worry. It grows back SO fast! Mine is growing like a weed and it's soooooo curly! Tell us about yourself. I'm glad you found us here. We'd love to support you during your journey.
Jane! I'm so glad to see your post. We miss you so much! I'll be glad when things slow down for you and you can come here more regularly again. Take care of yourself, my dear friend!
I can't believe they forgot to tell you about the boosts, Nancy! That really sucks! Like Cathi said, take extra good care of your boost "field".
Take care everyone! I love you all.
Hugs,
Karen

Oh it hurts like heck Karen - LOL, My hubby says it is way to small -go fiqure, I am just very short legged, so of coarse I think it all goes to the ass - I weight just 120 but I think 110 is in the rear - my daughters are the same, but some where and certinely not from me they got the biggest boobs (hopefully healthy ones) I am just a B(well for another week anyway) they are both D's.
Anyway hope everyone has a great evening.
