It was bloody freezing, my loves!!! Yesterday was nice and warm, today was supposed to be better - my brother in England was slapping on the hight protection, bu still a faboulous day!!!!

It's an hour from my house to largs 0 where the Scots fought off the Vikings - then 10 mins across to MIllport.

we are pretty lucky as there are so many lovely and all very differnt islands, off the West Coast, and all within a couple of hours travelling.

Very tired now (feeding the baby, sqaulling seagulls - all with their beaks wide open and making lots of noise) has kinda worn me out.

I never get good pics barbe. It was just fecing BALTIC, but smelled wonderful, looked like it has all of my long and (sometimes) interesting life - nothing changes in Millport!

I am still offended by having my comments deleted. I don't think that I contributed to the 'ugliness', referred to above.

It is a great pity that this thread has been compromised.

Today, however, we did have sun, and warmth and  wee bit of a breeze. We had lunch in the Beer Garden at Finbar's this pm, which was lovely. Expecting a few days of good weather - they keep saying this - before ALL the leaves are on the ground. Most of them are now. sigh .....

Once again, thank you moderators continuing to stay on top of things and remove inappropriate posts.   That subject that caused the disruption should be done with.  We can't lose sight of what the site is really for and I hope everyone "gets it" and stops .

I had a second opinion with a breast surgeon at Moffitt CC today and she confirmed that I do NOT have IBC.  Now that's worthy of a post.

Just came back from a fantasic day of protest agaiinst ATOS - a European bar steward child of Umum Provident, (you might know of them ... Google them if you don't) which our ConDem Government gave £100m to throw the most vulnerable to the dogs. Oh and another £50m for the massive sucess of appeals. Huge popular uprising, big media blackout. But boy, it was good to sock it to them!!!!!

Sadly, this thread is on it's deathbed, thanks to some unwelcome attention (this will probably be deleted by the Mods), but we will keep in touch via other media.

Stupidly, I forgot that this is a public forum! And that we shared our worst experiences among each other. Warning to all - you don't know who is reading your posts.

Like Judie, it is with the greatest of regrets that I say goodbye to you all.

I wish everyone going through this madness - and the aftermath of it - well and continuing good health. To the person who wreaked havoc on what was a civil and civilised thread, stay well, but consider where you put your opinions.

I still come to bc.org to the LE threads but like most of you, I will not be coming here again. I just saw the deleted posts by the moderators and don't know what happened but I thought we were all playing nice. I will see all of you on FB

Sheila, what happened is there was a discussion that got out of control.  I was one of the posters and I agreed with the moderators deleting the posts.  They and I hoped for a fresh start and thought that was the end of it.  Unfortunately that was not the case and now there is a small core group, who thought this was their private thread, who have decided to leave.  This is and has always been a public thread, part of BCO, and no one needed an invitation to join in.  When the nasty posts continued and were rightfully deleted by the moderators, the posters took to sending me pm's to continue the venom.  I hope we can continue this thread for those who need and deserve it.  I am sorry I lost my cool, as we all can at some time, but I have said before and I will say it again that I agreed with the moderators and have tried to remain a supportive member of this thread.  If it doesn't work for some, they are making the right decision to leave, but be assured that the post is not closed.  It is here and will survive to help and support all of us fighting this battle.

To clarify my reasons for leaving BCO,  it is not so much because I don't understand this is an open site/forum/thread,  that's fine and dandy, but I was under the impression it was a SUPPORT site, and while my posts over the past year may have been more about my family issues,  they are all relevant to BC, and the friends/family I have found here have been NOTHING BUT SUPPORTIVE.   I received several nasty PM's a few months ago stating this site was not the place for my  LIFE DRAMA -  To quote a small portion " BCO IS FOR BC NOT YOUR CRAP"

Well my CRAP completely  involves my BC, now being stage 4 (which this person clearly did not know) because they choose to pop in and read partial posts, read the whole thread, might understand things better,  and the fact that I have 2 grandchildren who need me and I WORRY EVERY SINGLE DAY, I will not live long enough to guide & protect them -  to me, my CRAP & BC are hand-in-hand,  and I need the SUPPORT of my family here. 

But anyways, I will no longer bring my issues here,  kinda funny we can have a SEX thread, but I was called out for talking about Child Abuse - OH WELL,  I always welcomed anyones thoughts, prayers,  guidance, but obviously some felt my issues were not appropriate here.  So thats why I am leaving BCO.

I have been following your tough road with your daughter and son in law and have always been supportive that you had this thread to come to.  I think you and Ed are doing a wonderful selfless loving thing for Ella and Landon and thank goodness they have you.  I agree, every part of our lives has to do with our cancer.  We do the best we can do every single day, and it can be an emotional roller coaster besides our physical issues.  Just keep being there for those helpless babies, you are their lifeline.   I will keep you in my prayers and hope it gets better, lots better...............Caren

Caren Aug25th isn't a "long time" to be part of this thread. I have been worried sick about Cathi's family because she hasn't posted here and now I find out that someone sent her nasty PMs??????? I have seen comments on FB and have had to assume that all was okay. Who are these twisted sisters that think they run bco????????



This USED to be a supportive thread until some cow threw my constipation back into my face by commenting so rudely about it. I think it was a troll, as anyone who is undecr treatment would have been sympathetic, not cruel.
