Glad you got the gift sue. We all wanted to be there when you got it.
Over the weekend I also did some 'retail therapy'. At Crossville TN there is a Vanity Fair Outlet mall. I got 2 pair of Levi's - one pair jeans and one pair dress pants on clearance for 8.00 each. I went to the Liz Claiborne store and their 'mini' pocket books were on sale. Suggested retail price was $38 each, their regular price is $20 each but they were having a memorial day sale at $10.00 each. Of course I bought 2. I never buy 2 pocket books at a time. That was one time when I was by myself over the weekend. we went to the mall and said that we would meet at a specific time at the car. When I came back with bags, one very large with both pocketbooks in it, they could not believe the sales that I got. I did not go into some stores because we have similar ones close to Hudson.
AE, I just checked up on the pinkstock page to see what was going on but I will not be able to go, it is too far from NC for me to go by myself.
I did read all the pages but can't remember everything. I am glad that someone is always here to help one of our sisters when she is in the dark place. We are all here to help lift each other up and it is good because we all know what each other is going through.
I need to go home and help my sister cut out a new set of sheets for her grandson tonight. He will be getting a new little brother this week and she wanted to take something special for his new 'big boy' bed.

Well dear Sue, you got it! I would so have loved it if we all could have been there with you! WHAT FUN!!!!
You so deserve this special gift, you are our treasure! NOW you are in the Emerald palace! AT LAST!!!!! hugs and kisses to our English Rose!!!!!!
I clicked on the site to watch the video, send it to me, if you can, I want to show my friends. Did they win?? Can't wait to find out.
Ulla, dear heart, I suspect you got an extra yank, last chance to get at you by the medical profession. Seriously, though, you may have an infection, so don't let this go on very long.
I am having BIG TROUBLE with my computer again. So if you don't hear from me, this is the reason. I hate this blasted *&^%$# computer!
Anyway, all you lovely gals that put that surprise together for Sue, and all of us for who we are, and I will get back here if I have to go to a Web Cafe!
I love this bunch a whole bunch! hugs and kisses, Shirlann

Dearest and most loved Sue - you got the shoes!!! I am so thrilled they have arrived! Yes, AE, Judie and Jule did a fantastic job - thank you all of you for making this possible. I can't wait to see a photo of you in the shoes!
It must have been a very special day with your dear dad Sue - I'm so glad you have him in your life.
I would love to comment on everyones' posts but I am way behind in everything. Please just know that I think of you all often and love you all. I so wish I could meet you.
Lots of love,
Jane xxxxx

Oh Sue , sooo glad you got your gift. AE , Judie and Jule , fantastic job.
Yes Lisa , letter to Oprah is next on my ajenda. Sorta have my hands full right now trying to accamate Lilly to Sweetpea. Lilly is just to big to play with Sweetpea right now. But I have to give them time together , so I have to monitor there visits. Wow , Zippy , Chloe , and sweetpea look so much alike!!
OK ladies and UB , say prayers for me tomorrow. Its time for my three month check up with my onky. And prayers to all of you wonderful ladies and UB too!
-
Mel - GOOD LUCK tomorrow - I'm sure you will do fine.
Hugs,
AE
-
Good luck, Mel! You're going to be fine!!! Still, I'll say extra prayers for you tonight.
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Sue!!! Hooray...the gift finally arrived. How wonderful to be able to be with your dad and show him how wonderful we all think you are. But then he already knows you, doesn't he?
Jule and Valerie were the brilliant ones who came up with the idea. My card was tacked on at the last minute with nowhere near the thought and effort that they invested. AE, in fact, even wrote the lines inside. Regardless, it all came together brilliantly, didn't it!!! See, even life fighting bootface can be great fun.
Ulla, I'll see about sending a book to you. PM your address to me. I hope you feel better quickly. Your body has been attacked over and over, hasn't it? Healing energy is coming your way.
Gosh, Sheila...retail therapy AND bargains. You must be in heaven.
You scared me, Karen. Until your last post I thought I had somehow missed sending the card to you. Whew!
Shirlann, I can't believe your computer luck. Didn't you just get a new one? I wish I were closer and I'd come over and fix it right up for you.
Mel, I'll be sending lots of positive thoughts for you. The picture made me giggle. I love it. It fits me to a T for sure!!!
Blessings to all.
Judie

Yay! Sue got her shoes! I love the card too... Judie did such a good job on that! I'm so happy for you, Sue... and happy for all of us to be able to be 'here' for each other even if we are miles apart.
We are all reaching our own Oz... I had my pre-surgery consult today with my PS and it was so much fun to talk about my soon to be new squishy 'boobies'... It won't be long now. Two weeks to go.
I'm smiling ear to ear for all of us.
Sue, I want to see a photo of you in those shoes too!
Ulla, hope you can get that sore port removal looked at to make sure it's healing OK... I want to thank you for your amazing insight the last few posts you made too. I really agree with you that none of us know when we will die or how--so just because we had cancer doesn't make us any more likely to die or know when or how... We just get to live with a better appreciation for our lives because we fought a tough illness and came out the other side...
In some ways I feel more fragile (like how vulnerable our bodies are to disease, etc) but most of the time I'm amazed at my strength and bravery... I still can't believe I had the courage to have a bilateral mastectomy... I still can't believe I did it...
We are waaay stronger than we think we are... this I know...
Congrats again Sue! Someday I hope we can all meet in person and celebrate.
-
Just checking in before going to bed.
Mel - I will say a special prayer for you re your checkup tomorrow. We will all be with you in spirit.
It's nearly midnight here so I can't think of anything interesting to say!
Hugs to all.

Hi Sue, I am so happy for you sweetie. I love this thread. But,You ladies are such family together here. I do not fit in much. I was too late to become part of the family, here. Ha. I do wish you much happiness and love. And, please keep Strong. And, keep your Faith.
You will get there. Take Care.
God Bless,
Love,
Kaloni

Checking in this morning.
Mel...first good wishes and prayers for you today...I know you will do just fine!! Hugs sweetie!! I could not see the pics this morning from here..but will look at them later. You have your hands full with your new kitty and Lilly. I thought too, when we meet in 10 DAYS...that we can collaborate on that letter to Oprah. Just like the ladies that met at Nordies and discussed what the next chapter will be in their book...we can discuss at Nordies...how to write that letter to Oprah! Love ya Mel..and can't wait to hug you in person!! I am so very excited!!
Wren...you have to be just busting at the seams to meet with your ps..and talk about your new boobies!! Good for you!! Do you know what type of reconstruction you are doing? I apologize if you have already told us, or if you have already gone through fills..my mind isn't as sharp in the memory dept. as it used to be. It seems to me that you have had fills..and this is the end to your reconstruction. Anyway...I wish you all the best with this!
Judie..I wish you were closer to me too...then you could fix Shirlann's and my computer. Mine at home is sooooo slow....then it freezes. I tried to log on last nt and post..and I couldn't!! Frustrating!
Ladies....I did the dumbest thing last nt. I got home from work about 8pm...ate a baked potato..and then at about 9:40pm realized I had not taken my tamoxifin. Well...I grabbed a bottle, took a little white pill...and soon after was fast asleep. I woke up this morning at 5:45 to go for my morning run...and I could hardly walk to the bathroom. I was practically falling asleep again brushing my teeth. I almost text my g/f to say...I can't go...I am so dead tired...and limp!! Well...I didn't...I got dressed and met her. We were out hiking this hill..and I told her how I felt, and how out of it I was. She said...do you think it was your meds? I said...NO...I take these pills all the time. Well...then I realized that I had a prescription for muscle relaxers, right next to the tamox, and that the pill looks the same!!! Omg...I accidentally took the wrong pill last night. I had to of...there is no other explanation to how I felt this morning..and kind of still do!! What a morning!! I pray this day get's better.
Danni called me this morning and she slept in, and missed her flt from chicago to here. So she is going to fly home tomorrow morning...haha...like I said..what a morning.
Love you all...and have a great day!! Hopefully mine will get better! Gotta laugh at myself!
xoxo

KALONI!!!! You just jump right in! Silly goose, you are not too late at all.
You are a precious sister and man, this is NOT an exclusive club.
Climb in with us, the water is fine.
We have gotten our Sue through, now Ulla needs to feel better and Sue will need some "aftercare". Mainly because we cannot stand to let go of this thread, and because we will never let go of Sue.
So come on in, Kaloni, you are a thousand times welcome.
Hugs, Shirlann
-
Shirlann and Lisa are right, Kaloni. It's never too late to join in! The more the merrier, I always say. You seem like such a sweet and loving person--you certainly do fit in with our motley little group!
Good afternoon to all the rest of you lovely ladies as well. I'm feeling a bit stressed today. My dad appears to have had a mild stroke (he's had several in recent years, and always refuses to see a doctor about it). Anyway, he's been really disoriented and confused for a couple of weeks now. My poor mom doesn't even feel comfortable leaving him alone for an hour or two. She's having her hair cut today, so I promised her I'd check in on him this afternoon. It's no big deal--I live just around the corner. Also, he hasn't eaten in two days. He insists that he has no appetite. Sigh...I hate this!
Hope you're all having a good day (Lisa, yours just HAS to get better
).
Love and hugs to everyone.
Karen
