-
OMG Sue,
I think I did something wrong!!!! I was curious as to the size difference between our country and yours....I found this calcuator on the internet but when I put your #6 in it says you wear a size 12 in the US!!!!!I actually think a 6 there would be an 8 here is that right???
I totally forgot about the sizing differences between our countries when I made my list of questions....Oh and btw, my favorite color is dark blue too
Ulla-what form of measurement do you use where you are at???
-
Hi everyone - rushing to get to an appointment.
((((Ulla)))) - it is so normal to have down days after everything you have been through. I am worried about your arm - you need to see a good lymph person who will give you some relief.
Love to everyone. Gotta rush.
Jane xxxx
-
Oh - I looked up shoe sizes on google. A size UK6 is a size 7 Australia, a size 8 and a half in the US/Canada and a size 38 and a half in Europe! How confusing!
-
smiles..
i know my shoe size in all measurments as my husband used to buy me shoes from different countries so here r my size in all measurments so u can count right,,
US 8.5
UK 6
EUR 40
CM 25.5
I HOPE THIS CAN HELP IN UNDERSTAND THE MEASURMENTS DIFFERENCE
MUCH LOVE SISTERS
-
BTW..THESE MEASURMENTS R TAKEN FROM ONE OF MY SHOES THAT DH BOUGHT FOR ME FROM NEATHERLANDS..
I TRUST THEM(NIKE)AS THEY R SO ACCURATE ,,NEVER FAILLED ME BE4..
MUCH LOVE
-
Ulla, sweetie! I hate that you're feeling so blue! Maybe you should do as Jane said and see a lymphedema specialist for your arm. I'm sure a nice massage would do you so much good. Hang in there honey--it's normal to have bad days. It will get better again. Love you!
Hugs,
Karen
-
Geez, how confusing! There really should be a universal sizing chart for shoes and clothing.
-
it seems sue and me have the same size ,,
6 UK = 8.5 US
hi karen,,thanks for the nice words,,its just attacks suddenly with no clear reason,,ughhhhhhh
i love u
-
WTH???? Those sizes are CRAZY!!!! LOL. I always thought the way the Brit's weigh things is weird too - stone???? But I eat black licorice, what do I know????
AE
Sue, UB wants to know what"whole ya minga" means??? hahahahaha
-
Hi sisters,
Karen, Ulla and Jule, tiny little feet. I have horse feet. hahaha
Ulla honey, try to not let up and down get you crazy. It is hormones and left over chemo and the general misery of this whole year. It leaves you with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Where is Sue?
Uhoh, I see, more pages,
Hugs, Shirlann

I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 too Ulla. How tall are you? I am not even 5 feet 5 inches. Ulla, are you on any anti-depressants? If not, maybe you should see about that. I didn't think I needed or wanted them. But after Mel, and AE and Shirlann voiced their opinions on them, when I was feeling down and blue...I did ask my oc..and now I am on effexor hr, and I feel great! Every day I feel up and happy. I love it. I feel so bad about your arm. I worry that I could get the lymphodemia. I hope not.
Ulla, my oldest daughter is traveling to Europe in June, her last stop is the Neatherlands. She will fly home from Amsterdam. I am so happy that she is doing this adventure. She really deserves it. She is flying from here to Rome Italy, then taking the eurorail to France and Netherlands. She will fly back her after 2 weeks. The good part is that the flying will only cost $57.00 round trip!! Thanks to my employement.
Nancy....my ex was self employed too...that is how he avoided paying too. Wow..he really owes you a ton of money. Heck that would be 2 years + salary for me! I hope you get some of it.
xoxo

What a ninny, I am a page behind. Shucks, I won't get that Rhodes Scholarship this year, let alone the Nobel. Oh well.......
In St. Barts and in Brazil, the shirts are G and GG. Well, let me tell you, GG is NOT big enough for me! hahaha
I will have to shrink to wear any of them. And they are pretty.
Do not be mean to the Brits. They brought our forefathers over here to the US. Left us with: Feet, Yards, Miles, Tablespoons, Teaspoons, cups, not to mention hectares and acres and a few others.
Then, smart as they are, they changed to the only sensible thing, the Metric system. Now, us, here in the USA, are too stupid to change. I mean it, we are. Still using miles, cups, etc. hahaHa
Too dumb to change, we are TWYING!!!!!!!
Love you all, Shirlann

Some of the most beautiful pix we have ever taken was on a two week river barge tour called "Tulip Time In Holland". AND dear Ulla is 100% correct, the Kerkenhoff (sp?) is beyond gorgeous, some of the tulips were up to my hip with 6 inches of flower.
AND then there is Frogner Park in Oslo, Norway. Ha hum, memories.
Ulla, don't feel bad, I didn't understand a thing Sue said either. heee
Hugs to all, Shirlann

How silly I am! I drove all the way out to my MLD appointment without checking the time and date first and when I arrived, was told that it was tomorrow! Grrrr! Oh well, it was a lovely drive, listening to music and looking at the scenery and now I have more time to do the homework I should have been doing the last 2 weeks.
Wow Lisa! Isn't that great about your daughter's trip to Europe! And such a great price! She will have such an exciting time. I haven't been to the Netherlands - the only european countries I have visited are France, Germany and Belgium. My youngest and oldest sons have just arrived in London and are about to start work there. My youngest is going to teach and my eldest is going to do labouring work until he gets some design/photography work. They are so excited and happy to be there. They are staying with a school friend who is working there until they find their own place.
Lisa - good luck with getting some support out of your ex! I so hope the court rules in your favour. I cannot understand why some non-custodial fathers are reluctant to support their kids. My kids' father was also very slack about paying but as he held a regular job I was able to get it taken out of his pay - I didn't want to do it but his payments were always late and insufficient for his income. My boys say he is mellowing a bit and they now have a reasonable relationship with him.
-
Jeez, Sue, what on EARTH are you talking about????hahahaha. You'll need to put together a dictionary for some of us!! Hey, I think Valsul lives in Cheshire- is that a town or county or what??? I'm totally confused.
I think she is in Runcorn.
Off to bed,
AE
-
Ok I thought I would put my two cents in on the questions.
Favorite color - blue
left ring finger size - 7 I think
shoe size - 7 wide
ice cream - depends on the day but mostly chocolate
licorace - black yummy
coffee or tea - tea..I am with sheila on this love the smell of coffee but not the taste.
Hugs to you all.
-
double post - I hate when that happens. LOL
-
Boy, I thought that there was a language barrier between the North and the South in the US. I was given a funny book on 'how to speak southern' and the phrases are so funny but they are relevant.
Lisa, that is great about your daughter's trip and the air fare is great. My son spent $1200 for a round trip flight to come home for the visit next week. No the Military doesn't help with flights unless the service member is going to a new duty station. Last year to get a flight in same day was going to be 1800 but the commander took him to the Navy Relief people and they will help get tickets for emergency leave and they got him tickets for 500.
I guess I have some of the smaller feet here with a size 6 1/2. Sue, I thought you being a proper Englishman, you would like tea more than coffee. and on the Ice Cream, I will eat anything my brother makes. He makes up his own creations and they are pretty good, even the peach ice cream.
My first husband was very slack about paying child support, that is why I terminated his parental rights for abandonment and Donald considered adopting John, but John said he didn't need a paper to tell him who his dad is, it's Donald.
