It seems like its been forever since I posted last.
Ok, lets see if I remember -
Sue - halal???? Do you mean hallah? I'm confused. Isn't that Jewish?
Ulla- love you girl - you are so funny - I thought the same thing when I saw your name. What is your real one???
Lisa - great news on the scan, sorry about the biopsy - I'm sure its nothing - don't fret girl.
Karen - black licorice is icky????? No way!!! Just had some today as a matter of fact.
Jule- good to see you my friend. Here are my answers-

*Don't know my ring size,
*Coffee or tea? Tea
* Shoe size 10
* Ice Cream: Baskins and Robbins Pralines & Cream
* Black Licorice
I have to add that in Norway, the licorice (I don't know what they call it) was everywhere and delicious and had 50 varieties. Who knew?
Hugs, all you sweet ladies, Shirlann
-
Shirlann - it was so sad to hear about those poor people who are in slavery. It is hard to imagine how people can be so cruel to each other.
AE - hugs and good thoughts and prayers for you and UB. I hope he feels better soon.
Hi Lisa! When do I move...hmmm - I would like to know that too! My d/h & his friend are taking some time off work soon to repair my house so it can rented out. How long will that take? Depends on how much they chat and how many cups of tea they drink! I hope it will be within 2 months.
Karen - I am thrilled that you are feeling energetic but not at all happy that your burn is a bugger - I hope it feels better soon.
Sue - thinking of you. I hope you are not going to be scrubbing 8 times! Is it possible to get a good compression sleeve? Repetitive actions like cleaning are some of the worst things for your arm. Halal will certainly bring in more customers. We have a lot of halal restaurants here too - mainly in the capital cities though.
Fav colour: blue
Wouldn't have a clue what ring size I am. I don't like the feeling of things on my fingers (what a weirdo!)
Tea & coffee - both (my fav tea is Russian Caravan made with loose leaf tea leaves). Coffee - strong flat white made in the traditional way from freshly roasted beans - yum! But I only have one occasionally as I get too hyped!
Shoe size 9 (I'm 5'7")
I'm not crazy about black licorice and I haven't tried red
Love to everyone, including all I haven't mentioned!

HI SISTERS..
DEAR AE,,THIS IS MY REAL NAME ULLA,,MY FAMILY NAME IS HAMSA,,

MUCH LOVE
-
Wow! I must be the weirdo (and Jane too) for not liking black licorice. Even the smell of it makes me gag. But I could eat one red vine after another and not get sick of it.
Love you all!
Karen
-
I want to go to Norway and eat all 50 flavors of licorice they have there! Mmmmmmm!
-
Hi Karen,
I too love red licorice and can eat it until it is running out my ears!!!!! The stuff from Costco is my favorite...it is always so soft and fresh..........yummmmyyyyyy!!!!!
If your going to Norway to try all the 50 flavors of it........dont think your going wihtout me!!!!!!! I wanna go too.......
Good God.....if I had 50 flavors I would weigh a ton!!!! but I'd sure be a happy girl
-
Sue,
That would be a lot of work to scrub down an entire store, but woth it to be able to offer Halal foods too. I'm sure you will have lots more diverse customers now too who appreciate it.... but good grief, you need some REST.
OK, my answers.
*Favorite color? Aqua blue
*Left ring finger size? 4&1/2
*Shoe size? 6&1/2
*Chocolate, only chocolate
*I do not like licorice, especially black and I can eat read, but it tastes like wax to me... yuk
*I like tea with milk... I used to drink a lot of coffee but it does not like me.... sometimes I'll have decaf coffee with almost half milk, like an Americana... and I make my tea the same way, decaf french vanilla tea with lots of milk.... oh, and I'm a dunker... love to dunk things like toast and biscotti
Today I am missing my boobies.
I can't wear my spring clothes because they don't fit right and because I gained weight through all this, so I am missing my old boobies... but
I am happy in spite of that because I am not in pain and I am alive.
I'll shop all the sales in June/July after my exchange... right?
Keeping my eyes on Oz...

To anyone who wondered, halal is like the muslim equivalent of kosher. The meat is specially prepared, but other than that I don't know how similar it is. There are several halal meat stores around me here in the city.
My favorites:
*Favorite color? Cerulian blue (that's sky blue to the non-artists)
*Left ring finger size? 6-1/2
*Shoe size? 8-1/2
*Chocolate, but I can be persuaded to eat Haagen Daz vanilla)
*Red (like Twizzlers) but every once in a while I have a craving for black licorice.
*Coffee or tea? Coffee in the AM; tea in the PM, both with sugar and milk

I just dropped in for a minute, came from the dentist. Had not been in several years because of husband's job situation - under paid or unemployed. Dentist said to give me a bag of bread crumbs so I could find my way back there quick.
Favorite color - bright red - not orange red but true red
left ring finger size - 7 I think
shoe size - 6 1/2 to 7
ice cream - chocolate anything is good
licorace - red
coffee or tea - I only drink tea, sweet iced (southern style) or hot peppermint - coffee - I love the smell of it brewing but it tastes like mud.
Sheila
-
Sheila..haha...coffee tastes like mud..haha.
I like my 1-2 cups in the morning..with a flavored no fat creamer. No sugar.
I put that I was a size 7 for my ring...but I really don't know. I think I am more like a 6. haha
I could eat a whole bag of red licorice too Karen! I love it, but I also like the black. I can eat a little of the black at a time, but not like the red! I love black jelly beans too.
Jane..you need to keep the tea away from those boys, and keep a whip handy so you can crack it when they get side tracked! haha.
Wren...I bet you miss them...but soon, you will have your new ones, and you will find shopping for new clothes to be a delight! Keep your eye on oz!
Ae..how is UB today. Is the Nuelast still giving him pain? Poor guy. I was lucky...it didn't bother me too much.
Well..back to work ladies.
I have a court date with my ex tomorrow again for child support. Hope it goes well. I have received 2 payments so far. Better than nothing!
Get this...He told mutual friends of ours that if I was interested in getting back with him, he would want too, because he still loved me! What the heck?? Oh yeah...I find it so attractive that you don't take care of your children! Oh my gosh!! He is living in another world! haha
xoxo
Lisa
-
ok...Mel and Sue...we are still waiting for you two to answer Jule's questionnaire.
We need to see if there are more black licorice lovers out there! haha.
-

My grandmother always had a pot of coffee on the stove, the old fashioned pot that had to stay on the stove to keep hot and the smell of coffee brewing brings back memories of her. She gave me coffee on occasion as I was growing up and just could not stand the flavor. My son on the other hand, loves coffee. He started drinking it while on scout campouts, they would take a cup of coffee and mix powdered hot chocolate mix in it and make their own cappachino. I do fix coffee for my hubby when he is home on the weekends but I stick to my hot peppermint tea.
Sheila
-
Lisa, Not to play "I Can Top You", but when my ex heard my diagnosis he said if there was anything he could do for me, he would "be at my cervix." His words in an email. Didn't know quite what to make of that.
What's the magic for getting support from the ex? I've pleaded, been very nice, been bitchy, threatened court, tried to guilt him into it, tried to reason him into it. I guess I just can't get blood from a stone. His needs always came first when we were married, so I shouldn't be surprized that all these years haven't changed him...he hasn't had to live for anyone but himself.
-
hi lisa..
it seems that sue is afraid to tell us her ring finger size or her shoe size,,,ha ha ha,,,
wer r u sue...?????
i need u sister,,i am so lonely and bored today
much love
-
Ulla...I know just how you feel about not being able to open your closet walk in and pick out whatever you "feel" like wearing. I was at that same spot just a matter of months ago. It is very discouraging, but like everything else this too shall pass. Once you start losing the weight and feeling better about that, you will once again be able to put anything on. I was so limited to what I could wear, and what actually fit...it was very upsetting. Now that the weight is coming off, and I have 2 boobs..haha...I feel more like my old self. The new hair do is defintately a confidence booster too.
Ulla, what about taking a nice brisk walk for a few miles, since everything is closed today. Why is everything closed anyhow?
Nancy...omg...if I had read that email...I would have been saying.."wtf"?? Why doesn't your ex pay child support? Does he work a normal job where he gets a paycheck? Or is he paid under the table? Ohio law takes the c.s. right out of their paychecks. Now that my ex is finally working, I am getting some money. He owes me over $10,000.00! Gosh, could I use it!
Sheila...my mom used to have a coffee pot like that...I loved the smell.
Sue..where are you dear? Working long hours I bet....
xoxo

today is the kingbirthday..and the spring celebration day..(swedish traditional holiday)...
tomorrow is the national workers day and another religiost day i dont know wat is it exactly..
day after tomorrow is a day which is between 2 holidays so it will be considered a holiday too.
then the weekend after that,,
then i have my 1st appointment with my onk. after rads,,,he will give me the tamox this time,,am afraid of that too..knowing that i must take it after the change in my cancer staging but still afraid of the side effects..
so i will not be able to have the normal days till next tuesday...
i cant go out to walk ..i dont feel like going out..seems i will have a self-pitty party....
anyway ,,,thanks alot sister for ur support..
love u sisters
-
Sorry Ulla...I am here anytime you need me. I know you don't feel like going out...but sometimes..it's just what we need. You know if you take a fast walk for a mile or so, it will release all of those endorphins...the ones that make us feel better, and not so blue. Just a thought. If you feel like throwing yourself a pity party..do that..you deserve whatever it is that makes you feel good!
Love you dear!!
-
Lisa, my ex is self-employed. I can't get a check garnished 'cause they come from many different vendors, and I don't know many of them these days. The best I could do is get his tax return intercepted (but he hardly pays any tax), or have them put some kind of attachment on his bank account...but that would be behind all the others that are trying to get money from him, too. So he just moves his account to another bank (there are plenty around NYC these days) and has a couple of years until they catch up. He owes @$66,000. That would be a year's salary for me...what I could do with that!
-
Sheila, the smell of coffee always takes me back to my grandma's, too. And I always smell toast. Add a poached egg on top and I'm back in her little Bronx kitchen.
-
ty lisa for being here with me,,i just hate myself wen feel so down like i do now..dont know wat to do to feel better lil bit..i hardly went out to have the bread of today..
i hate this up-down-up-down feelings..
i think that its the pain in my arm that makes it worse...
nothing good enough to watch on tv..
ughhhhhhh..
i love u so much lisa
-
((((ULLA)))) I want to be right close to you ....and have a lovely chinwag ...so you can let all the sad feelings out...I am thinking why you might be like this...do you think mainly it is the whole situation and then some... magnified with peeriods and hormones returning...xxx PLEASE BE STRONG.... remember how happy you felt last week and how much you were doing....xxx
