Ulla, your new avatar is beautiful! I love the scarf. I can tell you are a total fashionista! Gorgeous!!
It sounds like you're feeling better today. You've already done some grilling and I'm still laying in bed watching the news and fiddling with my computer. Think good thoughts and enjoy the lovely weather. Life is good, Ulla!
I also wanted to chime in with my congrats to Lisa for the b9 results. I'm so happy for you!!
Good morning Sheila, Jule and AE! Have a happy day all my dear sisters! I may have to take the weiner dog to the vet. She's acting like she's in pain, so she may have aggrevated her back condition somehow. She had to have a cortisone shot for it a few years ago. It may be time for another one. Sigh..........it's always something.
Love and hugs,
Karen

Good Morning Karen!!!! are we being a lazy girl this morning
Its ok, Im just jealous is all.....you deserve to take it easy......Im stuck here in my office staring out the window at a bright sunny day and wondering why I didnt call in sick
I hope you little dog is ok.......my Libby has adjusted wonderfully....she is my side kick now......she is such a sweet thing, a friend came by last evening while were outside and they have a new 12 wk old lab puppy named Tucker, and what a curious little guy he is!!!!!! It was amazing to watch Libby with him, if he headed in a direction that she didnt think he should be going in she would herd him back...he tried to go in the street and she in a quick hurry made him understand that is a NO-NO..I sure love that dog!!!!
Gotta run cause Im at work

I am so angry, I went balistic on my husband over lunch because the young man he made a deal with to mow the grass has not been by to mow the grass in over a month, you should see the grass in the back yard. the front yard is not too bad because of large trees that shade it pretty well and it grows about half as fast as the grass in the sunny back yard. the young man was supposed to be by Sat to mow but he works construction and his boss had him working Saturday morning, by Saturday afternoon we had thunder storms that prevented any mowing of any kind. Michael said that he would be taking Wednesday off and mow my grass then. I called him wed night to find out why he did not mow, his boss called him it to work because somebody else laid out, and he said that he would be by before Saturday to mow. I am tired of the tall grass around the door and the run where I tie Penelope out. After I fussed at my dh I went out and got the electric weed eater and cord out of the building and I went at the tall grass! What a way to burn off anger, Wack the Weeds!!! Can you imagine cutting an area about 10x10 with a weedeater? Now I am hot, covered with grass clippings and I had to go back to work! My dh will be home late tonight but tomorrow is a busy schedule, He has a dentist appointment tomorrow morning (Yes I found a dentist that has regular saturday hours), I have a Mother's day garden party for lunch at church, and the ACS Relay for Life dinner tomorrow evening for both Donald & I. I so want to get everything ready for John's return next Friday, but there is so little time.
sheila
PS. I think I failed to mention that I am having severe pms symptoms.
-
Shelia-your scaring me now!!!! We are soooo much alike in this stuff.....
Im typically a pretty patient person but even the best of us can be pushed over the edge....
When I first purchased my home, the front porch was encased in the really ugly screened in room type thing.....I ask and asked my SO to remove it and make a deck instead....after about 4 yrs of asking I got tired of it so one day while he was at work I took the chain saw and cut the walls out of it....he about had a heart attack when he got home!!!!!! But ya know what??? I had a deck that very weekend
Have you thought of finding someone more reliable for yard work yourself? Maybe ask around church????
Hugs-yes grass clippings and all-heck we both might as well be covered

the mother of a teenager at church said that he would probably mow the grass, I just need to pick him up and take him back to his house, they live next to the church. I know he helped one of the other members last summer with his construction business and Steve said that he is a hard worker.
Last year after michael let me down before my surgery, one of the neighbors said that he would come an mow but we had the dryest summer on record and he only mowed 2 times because of the drought. I have not asked him if he would mow again this year. So I do have a couple of options.
In the past 2 months we have had some type of rain every weekend, and the grass is growing excessively.
Got to get to work like you Jule.

I've learned that a sure-fire way to get my dh to do something he's been putting off is to start doing it myself. It's amazing how fast he moves when a fire is lit under his butt. Gosh, I get the feeling he thinks I'm incompetent! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs,
Karen

Dear Ulla, now you are scaring me. Try Tylenol PM and see if that will help you to sleep. You need to sleep. But this not being able to sleep is sooo hard on you. I sure wish I was there to give you a hug and hum to you. I know what you mean about moms, I miss mine every day.
Love you and Sue and Lisa, and Karen and AE and Jule and all the precious sisters on this thread.
You will be okay, Ulla, just hang on.
Gentle hugs, Shirlann

What a sweet picture of your boys, Sue! I love it!!! They are adorable! Chase is currently playing t-ball (baseball where they hit the ball off a tee rather than having another player pitch it to them). It's hysterical to watch! The little guys in the outfield are usually busy kicking at the dirt or looking up into the sky to see that the ball is heading their way. Chase always wants to run to third base rather than first base after hitting the ball. Too funny!!! They have their first game next Wednesday.
Your fitting room story cracked me up! I can just see you running back into the dressing room in a panic!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you're gorgeous without your wig--but I understand how you must have felt.
Hugs,
Karen

Ulla,
I just wanted to say that I was very broody about your age. I really wanted a baby, and even though I was just married, it was constantly on my mind. I came across a picture of a young child (about 18 months old) in a magazine and I instantly knew that he was my baby. I even tore it out and saved it. About two years later, I became pregnant and had a little boy that looked EXACTLY like the little model from years before. The picture is long gone (I should have saved it in his baby book, LOL), but the boy is now a wonderful 22 year old young man.
So save that picture!
-
(((ULLA))) you will make a lovely scrummy mummy....you will have a baby ....xxx I love you Ulla ....I loved you the first time I read your posts...you are so magnetic .... you have such a huge personality and you are funny and clever and brave and beautiful...and you are never ever ever ever on your own.... I am a 2 hour flight away too...geez I can not wait til I am better xxx
I worked with some great Polish boys the other day...they are such hard fast workers and nothing like the english youth. They work 10 days on and then take 4 days off to fly back to Poland to see their families....take them 1 hour 45 mins from Liverpool airport and costs next to nothing.... so you see ...you will be seeing me Ulla.... I just need to get to the end of this arduous journey .... xxxx I am so excited!!
