She slept iwth it on her hospital bed everynight,, she loved it i have it now as she has went home to be with the Lord but i just wanted to share with you how wonderful of a gift it was. she loved it so much i even thought about putting it with her but it was the last blanket she was covered up with so i kept it and i will always remember where it came from and how much my mother loved it. Thank you SO MUCH!

I haven't contributed much lately but last night I was at the store and saw 2 skeins of nice soft yarn on the markdown table and couldn't resist buying them. I will be off work in 5 weeks, I will have plenty of time for crocheting squares after that.

Hi!
I mailed an afghan yesterday. Hope to post pictures tonight
Hello Shelia!
Thank you soooooooo much!
-
(((karenteebaby))) ~ Thank you so much for posting. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. I'm glad the hugaghan made her happy and that you can wrap yourself in our hugs, too. Rest In Peace, dear Robin.
Love, Artemis -
Quick question, one of the skeins I bought was the Bernat baby jacquard yarn that is a light weight/sport weight yarn, will that weight work for this project? I thought the colors (blue & white) were pretty and it was a very soft yarn. If you don't think it will work for this project I can still use it for hats for the local wig bank.

Madison ~ A box of squares is on its way to you. The hugaghans from 7/26 are so pretty. I'm going to show them to my mother because some of the yarn she gave me is in them. I can't wait to see pics of the newest one!
Laura and makmak ~ that's a very pretty square. makmak, did you make up the pattern yourself?jenni_ca ~ I'm so glad that crocheting/knitting helps your arthritis rather than aggravates it!
Sheila ~ yay for nice yarn on a markdown table!

The other skein I got, I know will work. it is LionBrand Vanna Choice in a light pink. The weight on it is a basic 4 weight (worsted weight). I thought both of them were a good buy at $3.00 each. they had more in the worsted weight yarns but I am watching my money since I will be laid-off in 3 weeks and no job prospects in sight yet. I will check back at the store and see what else they have when I get paid this week, these had torn labels or missing labels and that is why they were reduced.

Thanks Artemis.. I found the pattern on a hat online and just used it..
Lvtwoqlt - I bought yarn at the Walmart (actually my DH did) and they are 2.50 a skein so that's not bad either..
-
I also use the Walmart yarn. I think it's called Red Heart.
makmak - Thanks for the purple squares...I will border them and send them out soon!
HI TO EVERYONE!
-
I have used the red heart yarn before. I sort of pick up yarn that I like. I found one skein at Walmart on the clearance isle - torn label, and the other at a new discount/close-out store in the area 'Ollies' also with a torn label. They were both larger skeins than the usual $2.50 skein so I thought they were a good deal. I have several other projects in the works right now that I have to complete before I will start crocheting squares again, but the yarn keeps calling my name.
