1st Ta Ta Sisterhood Reunion in Vegas

I agree with Gretchen. I want to enjoy being with my sisters. I'm kind of a private person. No, not kind of---definitely! I'm not opposed to Robin, since she should have some sensitivity that others don't. Our story needs to be treated with sensitivity, not just sensationalism, in my humble opinion.
Just when I think I'm totally on an even keel, I can be reduced to tears by reading the sentiments printed on the inside of a keepsake ring on The Breast Cancer site about what cancer cannot do: "It cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope, it cannot corrode faith, it cannot kill friendship," and "It cannot destroy peace." I surely don't want to see our vulnerabilities compromised by unthinking exploitation. I know that is something none of us want.
Let's get back into the FUN, FUN, FUN part of this Viva Las Tatas planning stage. Is everyone scoring their tatas tshirt? I like the idea of the temporary tatoo. I'll have to look into that. Anyone find any more bc temporary tatoos online. The ones on the tatas site were all sold out.

I'd love an airbrushed one too!
-
Why not go for the real thing ;-)
-
Man, I have been in the Virgin Islands for 6 weeks (yeah, rough life!) and now have 13 pages of posts to read. I hear we now have roomies assigned and t-shirts and what else? I'll jump into the thread as soon as I catch up.

In 2hours I am going back to work. I am not going to wear a wig. I am nervouse, I had my BF take a picture of the back of my head...yuck why do all heads look fat from behind Lol. My BF said he wants to go but I am not sure I want him to. Gotta bring it up gently.
-
Good luck Quinn! I remember when I went without my wig...I got SO many compliments! I hope you do to! If I knew where you worked I could stop by and say hi! PM me and I will come visit sometime!
My TaTa shirts have been shipped!! YAY!!!
I had the funniest dream...I dreamt that I came up with a cancer game show it was called, "Do You Want To Go To Chemo Land?!" I crack myself up....it was so funny. I wish I could remember all of the questions I was coming up with. I woke up just laughing. ;-)
-
Can't wait to hear how it went at work for Quinn...
Jazzy that's about the funniest thing I ever heard... and good for you! Dreams that make you laugh- you deserve that!
-
I ordered my shirts as well and they appeared to have all of the sizes...at least for today!
-
Just seeing this post. What hotel are you staying at? Is there room for one more?
-
we plan to stay in the middle of the strip
possibly the Paris hotel but that's not for sure yet
PM Tracey if you'd like to join us
I think you still have time to join : - )

Anyway.. I so enjoyed the suprise call Linda!!! I cannot wait for Vegas!
-
Laura
You were nervous!!! Hey, maybe that is why you were talking so fast......I think I will call you chatty cathy......
I tried to trick Laura when she answered her phone, asking her if she was going to be at Zumba class in the morning....I was afraid she was gonna hang up the phone....
It was great talking to you too Laura...glad you liked my southernnnnnn drawwwwww.....
-
Laura - I KNEW Linda would have a great southern drawlllllll........
I cannot wait to meet everyone!!! I am probably not going to be able to wipe the smile off of my face for weeks...!!!
-
I STILL have this Huge smile right now Deb...hehe... It will last me until I drift off tonight...
Yes, I am chatty Cathy.. but nerves do not make me talk fast.. thus is me..hehe...
Oh Deb.. Linda's draw is GREAT BIG!.. And soooo cute..... for a little gal.. she has the strongest draw I have ever heard.... so adorable...
-

Since they were half off I ordered 2 shirts! I got the viva las tatas and rockin tatas! WOO HOO!! They are scheduled to arrive at my house this Thursday! I ordered a size smaller so I'm hoping they will fit me come Sept since I have my hyst/ooph/tummy tuck in 3 weeks....
-

-
I just have to share...I am so excited to have eyelashes again!! WOO HOO!!! I am however forgetting to shave my legs and armpits. IKES! Now trying to get the eyebrow pencil just right. You would think I would have it down by now....I am having emotional issues though after my exchange. urgh
-
Janet.. go over to Exchange City.. LOTS of support for those emotions you speak of girl! We are all there for eachother on exchange issues and feelings! No Joke!
-
Thanks for asking which shirt to buy I have looked at that page 5x and forgotten to look here to see which one to get, Chemobrain = groundhog day syndrome
My first day back went great but alot of people were looking at my head and then thier eyes would drift down to make eye contact. Most new not to say anything (I work in a coffeeshop).
One regular customer said I like your hair cut...and I said thanks I think we share the same barber.
The most confusing comment was "what did you do to your self?" I think they ment to say "what have you been doing with youself" because I was gone on leave. I said no comment and she appoligized for being a snoop.
Is it September yet ...
-
Laura
Are you talking about getting your airline tickets now? I talked with a flight attendant yesterday and he told me that the airfares would probably be cheaper after the 4th holiday and then again when all the kids are back in school....think I will wait until mid July.......did you order your tata shirt? I should get mine Friday......It was great talking to you Chatty.....lol....can't wait til Vegas....
-
What Southern draaawwwwwllll? Y'all better not make fun of how us Southern girls talk now!

As for the shirts - I guess I am being a non conformist, (so what's new). I have ordered the bad ass, rockin' ta tas, and Imagine a world w/o cancer. That and my warrior tshirt I think I have a wardrobe that speaks volumes!
-
We could all wear "Breast Cancer Sucks" shirts and/or Cancer Sucks buttons (which I already have in hot pink with black letters)....
-
Journey
I don't think they are making fun of our southern drawallllllll I think Laura was tickled by my accent and really wish she had it LOL........I have a combination of Georgian and Mississippian accent which makes me extra extra southern.....I have always lived in the south......100% pure!!! So what do ya'lllllllll think about them thare apples? hehehe
I just ordered the Las Vegas t-shirt because I am not really a t-shirt person so did not want to waste money on shirts I would never wear. Just wanted the one for Vegas so I would look like everyone else.....but will not sound like everyone else......
-
Shirt Ordered... Vegas here I come..
-
I will wait on the ticket Linda.. makes sense!
