Journey
I have been looking at Expedia, Priceline and Travelocity
They have a cheaper rate at $363 roundtrip
Also a better return flight leaving Vegas at 10:30 am which I like better than 10:30 at night....
I will probably book with one of those companies and fly out of Tupelo into Memphis and then switch planes......
I would be getting into the vegas airport at 10:40am Friday but if everyone is getting in much later than I can get a flight out at noon.....I will have to do more research on this.....Do you know how much it will cost you to fly out of Atlanta?
-
Hi Linda - Prices are still kind of high for air fare currently. We will need to keep an eye on it and maybe we can luck out on some sales. I'm sorry that you can't do a direct flight. Unless a really great sale happens I probably will not book until mid August. I think as long as we book 30 days out we should get a decent fare.
-
Maybe it's cheaper for us to only have 2 to a room?
-
Jazzy
The more the merrier is what I always say.....lol
-
I know I'm going to have to wait for a sale as it gets closer. In Canada, they run "junkets" with hotel and flight grouped in a cheap package. That's what I'm waiting for.
-
PinkyLee, Another roomie-you have to go now more than ever!!!! Thanx for letting us know what has been going on-that's what we're here for. Understand everything that your going thru, need someone to chat with....just let me know. Sound's like alot of you are getting there early on Friday-we'll have to plan something to do while we wait to check in.
I'm all about making Vegas know were there with...T-shirt's/button/s what ever will drawl attention- we deserve to be in the lime lite!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

We should invite Robin from the Today Show (?). She just took of her wig for her show now that her hair is growing back. She might be interested in promoting Breast Cancer Awareness month for October.
-
Renee that is an AWESOME idea!!!
-
I love the Robin Roberts idea, I don't know how to do that, but also wanted to note that the video is quite old. She has been wigless for quite awhile...maybe a year?? She would be a good advocate for "moving on"!
-
HELLO LADIES,
IN AN EFFORT TO GET US THE ABSOLUTE BEST RATE I AM PUSHING BACK THE HOTEL INFO TIL 5/26. WE HAVE SOME GREAT OFFERS BUT WE ARE TRYING TO GET THE PRICES EVEN LOWER AND THE HOTELS DONT ALWAYS RESPOND AS QUICKLY AS I WOULD LIKE THEM TO. WE STILL HAVE PLENTY OF TIME! THIS WILL ALSO GIVE THE MIA LADIES A LITTLE MORE TIME TO COME OUT FROM HIDING. I THINK YOU WILL ALL BE PLEASED WITH WHAT IS BEING WORKED OUT!!
THANKS LADIES, SEE YOU IN VEGAS

TRACEY
-
GOOD JOB TRACEY. WE UNDERSTAND AND IT IS WORTH WAITING FOR TO GET SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR EFFORTS ON OUR BEHALF!!!!
-
YES!! Thanks SO MUCH Tracey for putting in all of this time and effort for all of us! Just let us know what we can do to help!
HUGS! JazzyJ
-
Okay girls....
Today I received from Judy [FACECRAFTER] some interesting tips for winning at blackjack. We will have to experiment on one another before hitting the casinos!!!
Judy - Thank you so very much! My DH and I are going to read through it tonight and see how it works....
-
Oh...my...gawd you girls are FUNNY!!!!! I kinda faded because I couldn't find my way around the forum and I was so fuzzy during RADS. I so wish I could go in September, but I can't imagine it being much fun for the kid- and I ain't leavin him...
But I am totally with ya in spirit.
-
Traceyz-the lower the better on the room deals! Thank you for all your hard work! I am so excited for this trip to come. September, hurry up!
-
Deborah: You are very welcome..and have fun..I hate it that I can't be there, but I'm staying on this forum--gonna "lurk" my way to vegas..I got the t-shirt so I feel like one of the girls JUDY
-
Tracy--Thanks for the update.
Are you KIDDING? Take all the time you need. You are so cmpletely awesome in your organization of all of this that I douby anyone is going to question your results.
I think we should try to contact Oprah. If you're gonna aim for exposure, aim high! Anyone in the Chicago area with a connection to Harpo? Maybe she would give us a all a car. A big pink car! Okay, I'm feeling a bit goofy.
Catherine
-
hey ladies it never hurts to dream
-
I'll take a pink car!
-
If people are serious about getting someone big to do a feature on us, shouldn't we do something positive for the cause while we are in Vegas?
-
I think I'll email Ellen. BUT it is kinda far out from Sept. I might wait...
-
kjbell--You raise a good point. I was just joking when I made my Oprah comment, but I think it boils down to why we're all going to Vegas in the first place. Certainly something to discuss beforehand.
I think just having a reason for all of us to get together and have fun for us is a great idea...d'uh. I think we all feel that. If we wanted to make this trip something more, the that is a whole different ball of wax. I don't think we can expect Tracey to handle more than she already has. But if someone out there has experience with this sort of organizing... But yeah, I would think that there would have to be a bit more to entice celeb coverage than just the gatherine itself.

Sorry eadsla, I guess I am "thinking" too much, I need to chill and not be so serious. I think I will have a glass of wine and go to bed!
-
I think we can definitely do some brainstorming on this, but look at what all of us have been through. We are a testiment of fighting this awful disease! This Vegas trip we will be joining together to celebrate the struggles that we have overcome, the bonds we have made, and the life that we possess. I think we WILL be doing something for the cause...showing and giving HOPE to all who see us together!
We ARE Survivors and we ARE the Ta Ta Sisterhood! :-)
HUGS! JazzyJ
-
Jazzy--HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!
You are so spot on, it's inspiring. Thank you for putting that out there. I'm no Negative Nellie, but obviously I needed that reminder. Perfect!
Catherine
-
AMEN : - )
-
Tracy... You're doing a great job and we have plenty of time.
I thought Robin just announced her wig-off. Was that an old posting I picked up on?
Edited to read...As usual I'm a bit slow. I went through a few of the last postings and sure enough Robin did the unveiling a year ago. Dah.
-
Going to a mammary mecca with our scars and foobies, wearing t shirts that say Viva the Ta Tas and sitting by the pool talking about tattooing our nipples and not meaning for decoration....
Now that's spreading awareness.
I am not my tits.
I wish I could go with you.
-
Why can't you? You can bring him with you. You'll have mega support. May not be many of us by the kiddy pool but you'll be in Vagas with us.
-
Renee- but not so much fun for him. The plane ride, the hotel room... not very kid friendly... and I'd want to be hanging out with you gals. I can't relax by a pool with the baby. I finally can hold him close without worrying about it hurting my boob- I missed those hugs. Really. Badly.
He's the only kid I'll ever have, I missed too much already.
Besides... if I did come you'd find out just how much of a badass I really am! Muahahaha. All I know in Vegas is MEN. Ah... Vegas... I loved it when it was trash. I have been watching all that's been said and must agree completely. I was there in 92 at the Sands. I went back in 95 for COMDEX. I was there again and again, various adventures and then back again with the Rolling Stones. Then back again to train on the Speedway...

now I get my thrills holding my baby
