1st Ta Ta Sisterhood Reunion in Vegas
On these threads we laugh, cry, pray, and most of all we bond. So a few of us thought, wow wouldn't it be nice to get together and have some FUN!! I think after all we have been through we absolutely deserve it!! So Vegas became the most talked about suggestion. It is certainly the cheapest and most entertaining. We are planning for the last weekend of Friday September 25th-28th. We are still in the early stages of planning. Suggestions are TOTALLY welcomed and I will update weekly. This will be a celebration!! Im thinking laying out by the pool, shopping, dancing, shows, buffets, gambeling (if you dare)
and maybe even a little spa treatment. But most of all celebrating sisterhood!! We will be in a hotel located on the strip. If you would like to join us please PM me and I will be happy to add you to our list. Thanks and I will see you in VEGAS!![]()

Tracey, have you told Vegas that we are coming!!! might better warn them....I bet they have never encountered a group like ours before. A bunch of big ta ta mamas.....
-
Tracey - Thanks for organizing this. Of course, I am a little late to find it. Laura and Linda foudn it first. Take care. I am thinking positive thoughts for you! - Jean
-
Count me in. I should be almost done with my year of Herceptin and what a great way to celebrate.
-
hehe.. Linda.. how did you know I was such a huge smarty pants...

I told ya'll I have a ornery side.. straight up... never lied..:)

Nancy.. I will probably still be doing Herceptin... but will juggle it..:)

-
So.....I'll claim #4 spot!......I'll be still on Herceptin.....but love juggling!......anything for VEGAS!
-
Amen Jax!
-
Oh boy ~ I would love to go, not sure we could swing it. We just went to Vegas in January 08. I have been there five times and I love it! Last time we were there we spent seven hours on the same six machines and had the best time ever! Any hotels in mind?
-
Hi Ladies,
Okay now that I can focus, lets talk about how many to a room. We could do double rooms and sleep 4 to a room. And if someone has to absolutely have their own bed there may be cots or a couch in the room. We can work that out later. I am researching several hotels on the strip that my airline does business with and I will keep you all up to date. Keep in mind in regaurds to how many in a room.....we dont plan on being in them much at all!!

BTW Laura, congrats on being #1 to post here on our exciting new thread!!

Luv ya ladies,
Tracey

Tracey - Do you know about how much the rooms will be? I personally am a terrible sleeper. NO ONE would want to share a bed w/ me - night sweats, flip flopping and all. My dh doesn't even like sleeping with me (he he). So, I think I would be better share a two bed room w/ another person. But it will depend on the cost. Just a thought.
- JeanLaura -How was your visit w/ your grandkids?!?
-
I grind my teeth and also sleep all over the place. A 2 BR would be perfect for me, so I can close the door and grind away - LOL...
-
I will be fine sharing a bed with someone. If I get on my back during the night I might start snoring but all you have to do is punch me and I will turn on my side. My DH lost sleep when I HAD to sleep on my back during recovery from surgeries.....he knew he could not punch me hehehehe......I was wondering if I could bring my little electric fan? I use it every night blowing on me to help get though the hot flashes....I even took it to the hospital when I had my MX/recon. Took extension cord and had it sitting on my bed with me.....a life saver.....the airlines might think it is a bomb...and make me throw it in the trash...I had a new client in yesterday and she just moved here from Vegas. She raved about it.....loves it. She flies back and forth a lot and said that it could cost me $300+ for roundtrip, that it just depends......I want to fly out of Tupelo instead of driving to Memphis to board.....I am about 4 miles from our airport.....
-
bumping for PinkyLee
-
LOL.. so funny... I can sleep with Linda as I am SO used to pushing or nudging my dh 2-3 times a night to ROLL OVER... hehe hehe... I LOL'd... I never thought to pinch him...hehe hehe....
Jean.. thank you for asking.. the day was AWESOME with the kids.. wahoooo.. I have them every tuesday now and love it... we are keeping them overnight this weekend and get to take them to Church with us... show them off a little...:)
I work 3 days a week so that I can keep the kiddo's. Starting in August.. D-I-L will start teaching.. so I think I will have the kids Mon-Tues-Wed.. and her mom will have them Thurs-Fri.... ( she is PRN so she can just work a few days like me)... we love it this way.. hate the idea of our grandchildren with a babysitter... eeeekkkkk....

Anywhooo... I need to rest from rads ( which I am doing fine...)....
Love to all....
Laura<--------------- who is still laughing at the idea of one of us having to pinch Linda...LOL
-
Tracey - thank you so much for organizing this for all of us. It will be so wonderful to meet all of these incredible women!!!
Deborah
-
I think this is a wonderful idea and I wish I could go but for many reason I can't. But I thought I might mention Tracyz to make sure you let the hotels know you are a group and in this ECONOMIC environment they certainly will give you the really discounted rates!! Have a blast ladies!!!! Best
-
I NEED to make a suggestions to you ladies when in Las Vegas..
If you love Italian food and all the wine you can drink.....go to Babtissta's Hole in the Wall...
It's behind the Flamingo Hotel off the strip, 1 block, its easily walkable.
You need reservations, always busy, but fabulous! Famous people always go there, and very old school Italian. Not expensive $$.
For more money $$$$ I recommend Emeril Lagasee's Restaurant at MGM Grand.. BAM!!!
~* All this Vegas talk makes me want to go back! ~*

-
LAURA!!!!!!!
You misread my post. I did not say PINCH, I said PUNCH.....hey, if anyone tries to pinch me I would probably slap them.....LOL Please do not PINCH your DH........LOL
-
You ladies crack me up...you are soooo funny! Okay for anyone who wants their own bed, no worries. As soon as I get a hotel locked in, which I am working on, then we can get a headcount of who all want their own bed and a count of those who dont mind sharing. Of course if you want your own bed it will be more $$, but how much more I am not sure until we get the hotel locked in. I am shopping hotels on the strip that give airline discounts. I should have more info on the hotel by next week.
Lexi, thanks for the suggestions. Im gonna write em down!!
Deborah, No need to thank me Im gonna have just as much fun as everyone else! LOL

Deirdre, Yes indeed we will be getting the best rate possible...thanks! Wish you were going, the more the merry.
Laura, have I told you lately how proud I am that you decided to do rads...you are one TOUGH cookie!!! Its gonna be behind ya before you know it!!!
Linda, I dont know what else to say other than you crack me up!! You are soooo funny! Beauty and humor all in one package!!
Vegas will never be the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luv ya ladies!

-

-
OK, I'm thinking that it's a good thing this Vegas trip is several months after my last surgery because if it wasn't, I would certainly BLOW MY STITCHES LAUGHING!!!! Laura and Linda -- you two totally crack me up!! The dog is sitting here looking at me wondering what the HECK I'm laughing about!

Tracey, thanks so much for taking on the planning, but PLEASE let me know if there is something I can do to help. I am the poster child for anal retentive so that makes me a great event planner - ha!

Off to bed -- night night Ta Ta Sisters!
