Rachel!!!!!! You're a TOTAL BADASS!!!!!!
-
WOO HOO!! I LOVE IT!! Such a BADASS and SUCH A BADASS MOMMY!! YOU ROCK!
-
Hey! I don't think it's too early to contact Ellen or Oprah. They have to make plans too! I think the concept that we are coming from all over, joined by an online support group is huge! Can you imagine the photo ops as we meet each other? Our forum names meeting the real faces behind the avatars? The HOPE that we can spread.....
-
Barbe you are so right. I know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so the timing of this trip couldn't be any better, and Ellen does donate alot of time to this cause during the month (she did last year).
Maybe we can contact the local station that airs Ellen and let them know of our plans and maybe they can help us get the ball rolling. Just a thought.

-
It is on page 19. If I knew how to post the link I would (but I don't). I just ordered it and with shipping it comes to $23.95. Viva La Ta Ta's!
-
it is soo on ...I am getting my tix as soon as I get beck from Cali The board moves so fast I have four pages to read through.

I just bought my t-shirt and a tank for fun!!! I definitely think we need to get some press about this....think of the good it would do.
Teresa
-
They don't have any mediums left!
-
Bought the t-shirt.... They did not have my size in stock so I bought the next size up and I will dry it to shrink it. BTW, I used promotion code "uw007" and it saves you 10%. I figure that is 10% off shipping. Any little bit helps.
Have a great weekend
gbusse
-
They don't have any large left!
-
gbusse - thanks for the coupon code! I just posted about 5 minutes ago and it has vanished in cyber space! Anyway what I was saying is that I am breaking from the traditional and getting the "bad ass" ta ta shirt. I also have the Warrior tshirt from fordcares.com. I'm a bit of a fighter when it comes to BC so both kind of mean a lot to me.
-
Are you an astronaut Journey?
-
Just got my bling save the ta tas shirt and also got an Irish Lucky one on the sale page. Together with my LiveSTRONG shirts I'm covered for the TA TA VEGAS WEEKEND.
Glad to hear you're a BADASS, Journey. We badasses are SURVIVORS and that does mean a lot to us. I love my LiveSTRONG tshirts also. They make me feel strong every time I wear them. And that means a lot to me also.
Journey does kind of look like an astronaut in that new picture, but she's not---she told you---she's a BADASS!!!

-
LOL! No, I'm not an astronaut. Kind of looks like it though. Cool, just call me Captain Moore!
No really it is a picture of me in my martial arts uniform right before my first surgery. I pull it up from time to time to remind myself who I was before this BC train hit.
Y'all have a great weekend!
-
Sorry I didn't even think about telling you all where the web site was-my mind has been else where, but it looks like you all got it-YIPEE!!! It would be great to get some kind of attention for our gathering if only to show other women we are there for each other!!! Wearing matching  T-shirt's & having the button'swith our names will of course get some eye's our way. Still would love to see if Ellen was interested. A quick question for those of you on Herceptin, I saw another thread & was looking to see some familiar names, but didn't. It's about side effect's-anyone had or having any that posted there? Just curious On another note, acouple of you had asked, I didn't have to go back into hospital. They took the pic line out today-MERSA over, just staph now-YEAH. Thank you
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
-
I vote to get Hoda.....she had breast cancer....I am sure she and Kathy Lee would love to give us a spot on their show.....
I think Journey looks like an astronaut too.... hey Journey, you need a picture doing a katate stance.....
Is everyone ordering the Vegas shirts?
-
Linda-I love Hoda and Kathie Lee too. Maybe we can spread the word and see who responds. The Ellen website has a link for "suggestions for a show". I think the Ta Ta's have a suggestion! Maybe when things are finalized, we can email some of the shows and see what kind of responses we get.
-
I got my bling shirt and I also ordered the Rockin Tatas one........awesome sale.....thanks for the heads up......can't wait till Vegas!.....Thnaks Marilyn for the PM......sorry I haven't been around so much lately......I have been reading everyday.......and still can't wait for VEGAS BABY!.........but I have been busy trying to heal up......I really want my new tatas for vegas.....looks like I may finally be on the right track.......still dragging a damn drain around with me everywhere........it had better not be making the trip to Vegas with me.
Cheers and Hugs to all!
Jax

I wanted to say that I sent an email to the powers to be of TaTa shirts. I told them about our trip and how many of us are wanting that shirt but the sizes are dwindling. Maybe it will help. Cant hurt
Teresa
-
WOO HOO!!! I BOUGHT MY TATA SHIRT!!!! I couldn't decide which size, but after my tummy tuck I was thinking I would be a bit smaller so I'm hoping I ordered right...if not it will give me incentive right??
Thanks Susie for the heads up on the sale! And thanks GBusse for the promo code!!! WOO HOO!!! I got the rockin tatas too!!
Teresa your email must have helped because there were plenty in both sizes I was shopping for..(large and xl)!
THE TA TA SISTERHOOD ROCKS!
-
Barbe check the tata site...looks like Teresa's email worked because they have more inventory!

Getting more and more excited!!!

OK ladies, by sheer coincidence I have a friend who just started working as some sort of entertainment reporter for the Examiner in Vegas. I could put him on this, but I want to ask you a couple of things first...
1- I don't know that he can actually be helpful. He's selling an e-book online about using Craigslist to make money. He's also a genuinely nice guy whose sister had a rough bout with colon cancer. I am sure he'd like to make some connections, do some reporting, win/win.
2- Are you absolutely sure you want to go public? Anyone see the Bob Newhart Show episode where they all wanted to do a group session on TV, but once it was happening they were mortified. Aside from your privacy you are putting the media wanks in charge of what's said and how it's said and shown to the world. Once you give them your time and let them record you, they can do anything with it. Although I think you are pretty safe with Oprah or Ellen.
Lemme know if you want me to put you in touch with my friend.
Oh and I bought the Laughter Heals shirt, 'cause I'll be walking with my kid on the streets of NYC and I already get enough trouble from my big ta tas
-
I just ordered my Vegas TATA shirt!!!!!!!
can't wait to get it.......

Okay...I'm not often the first one to open my month. Been WAITING for some TATA sisters to jump in here and save me from myself ,but alas that has not happened...yet. So here goes. Rachel you bring up some excellent questions in your post about your writer friend. I quote - Are you absolutely sure you want to go public?
I struggle with that. No, I don't want to go public when I can't control the outcome as you also pointed out. Yes, I want women (and men) to see all of us beautiful ladies in Vegas and want to share our story with any that want to know. But, this is Vegas we are talking about. The city that never sleeps and has thousands of groups traipsing up and down her streets any given day many wearing group t-shirts. We may sadly just be part of the crowd. Is that a bad thing? Not to me because I am making the trip to meet and get to know many of the women on this board even better. Several of these women have been with me on at least one leg of my trip in bc land and I have a wonderful connection with them. Now, having said that I would say I am not opposed to a celeb invitation but would suggest we be very judicious about whom. Oprah - no. I was so disgusted with her coverage last October. (sorry Oprah fans). Ellen - she is an dynamic soul who tends to cross several boundaries of interest. I like the fact that she is so open and seems to truly care but to be honest I have not seen many serious pieces on her show. My vote would be for Robin Roberts (GMA) and only because she is a bc survivor. She had the wind sucked out of her body just as each of us did when we heard those words " you have cancer". I would hope she could put together a decent piece with some teeth to it.
Okay - off my soap box. Next!
-
Ditto Gretchen!
I am for Robin only too..
I have been so busy that I have not been posting.. but reading everything!!!!!!!
Happy New Week......
-
Another thought... I have gotten press for my events before, and its usually because of a charity aspect. I do not mean to say that anyone here has to give any thing more- far from it. But there are other ways to be pro-active. When you do things with a charitable focus, the media generally handles you differently. Best is when you can write your own articles, and I know at least one of the gals attending is a professional writer. I just saw the post here about the 10 year old girl, Hannah, with breast cancer in LA. A tattoo parlor is offering special $20 pink ribbon tattoos, and also airbrushing, which is temporary instead of a tattoo.
Just another thought for y'all... another way to maybe get what you want done and said...
but be sure of this... if you get together and enjoy each other, that alone is reason enough to say ViVA les TATAS baby!!!!
