YEs Girls-it was decided a few reunion's back to always keep it at the last weekend of September so you would always have that date set aside, so this year would be September 26th Friday thru the 28th Sunday.....Of course alot are coming earlier & staying later!! I once asked about our 10th reunion being a cruise
Who knows what could happen....the way we keep coming early & staying later-I bet soon it could turn into a week of CELEBRATIONS!!!!
Love ya both!!!!
Take care Chow GOD BLESS 0:) {{HUGS}} XOXO Susie

Cruise? Did someone say cruise? I'm all over that!!!! One of my goals for 2014 was to hoard my vacation days so I wasn't scrounging come September. Didn't count on Mother Nature dumping 8 inches of snow on my area the 2nd work day of 2014 when I wasn't feeling quite up to par! WTF???? Have a grandchild coming in late May/early June so that's a definite week. Must must must store up my remaining days to make sure I have at least 4 left for Sept! Got there Thurs last year (my first time) and loved that. Left Monday and hated it, so I need Thurs/Fri/Mon/Tues as vaca days this time around! I don't care how many days away it is from today...nothing I enjoy more than a countdown!!

I'm admittedly torn about this year, I hate to admit. I soooo enjoy my time with the TA TA's. I am pushing, and will soon exceed, the 640 hours limit on time "on the books" at work, so that is not an issue. Although the company is in HR turmoil, so I don't even have a supervisor to approve my vacation time! I'm just so overwhelmed with the financial end of life. Cars, houses, kids, bills, holidays.
I've made plans for Feb (San Diego w/ TA TAs), March/April (Yosemite), May/June (Disneyland), July/Aug (Maine/Lobsterfest), September (Las Vegas w/TA TA). I think I have over-planned.
My son is a high school senior. Which means prom, graduation and all those senior expenses that add up.
My new car (payment!) got wrecked (deductible).
My ceiling leak (destruction, deductible, non-covered expenses).
I guess I just need to pull up my big girl panties, tighten my belt, get determined and JUST DO IT! Hard to get motivated, though.
I also will turn 50 this year and I think that is weighing on me.
==========
Somewhere in there I am going to have my Stage II DIEP reconstruction!
==========
On another note, I feel like I did not get to spend enough time with all the ladies. I got really close with a few, but really didn't get to know everyone well at all. I was so enjoying the time with the ladies I have become close to, that I didn't spend time with others. So, I have to promise myself, and others, that if I do get to go this year, I will make a point to spend time with each of you to get to know you better.
-
Shechirple that is my plan too! Hoping to get better aquainted with some in San Diego. Just doesn't seem to be enough time to have a one on one with everybody.
Hope everyone is enjoying 2014 - minus the weather of course. We have had a lot of nasty in that direction. -59 with the wind chills BRRRRR
-
Too funny. I had such a great time in Vegas...except......I told so many people here at home that I just didn't get to spend enough time with enough people! That's my resolve for this year, to branch out a little more. So hard though when you just click with 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7
That's why we need to keep on getting together, to make sure we become bff's with everyone!
-
So true, Mary and Saskie. I have thought about that each year when I return home.
-
We should do a mock speed dating thing, where we rotate around and meet each and every one! But that could take hours.
I just plan to meet and spend time with at least a few new people each year.
I like to do so many different things. I really like to do things with the whole group. But, then I like the small groups of shopping, or gambling or going to somewhere special.
I like the in room chats with coffee in the morning.
I'm like a mother hen and want to make sure nobody gets left out.
and, my girl Jancie, what can I say, my buddy..............you are my girl from the moment I first arrived at the TA TA Sisterhood. Wouldn't leave you for anything.
-
Hi all, Just wanted to let you know that I will be in Vegas Feb 20-25 with Mom and her ex husband Tom. Tom is not in very goo health and wants to go to Vegas. So I am going to help them out. Yeah for me. Just wondering if I should check out some spots for this year. Let me know if you have something in mind. Hope everyone is doing well.
I would like to ask for your prayers. My girl friend tried once more to commit suicide. This time is was cutting her wrist and taking pills, I found her and was not happy with her. She is once again in a pay hospital trying to get better. so please pray for her. Thank you.
Hugs to all.
-
Oh Cheryl, I'm so very sorry to hear that. She will definitely be in my prayers hon.
Chirp, I love the speed dating idea! lol
-
Cheryl-Major Prayers for Tom & your Friend-I'm so sorry!! Glad your there for boht of them!!
I too think that is a cool idea about speed dating-cool meet & Greet game??!!
255 days till our 6th Ta TA SISTERHOOD REUNION!!!!!!
Take Care Chow GOD BLESS O:) {{ HUGS &
}} XOXO Susie
-
HI ladies, thank you for your prayers.
Hugs, Cheryl
-
I too think the speed dating game sounds like fun. Get to find at least a few things out about each person.
-
it really could be very cool. Would have to give a lot of thought to what I would want someone to know if I only had five minutes! Could be a contest too..."tell us something you learned about (name)” ya know?
-
Maybe not a contest, but a "sharing" moment. After we go around the meet and greet, we can go around with each person announcing I learned that .....
Okay, so when do we start planning for September, and what can I do to help?
-
hey guys, we can hang out in my condo and visit... It has a pretty big living area ...and there are 2 pools and a couple of hot tubs. ...(re the not getting to visit enough). Jennifer and her daughter will be staying there and our "Canucks " have a time share there also. I am excited already! And yes to a question posted earlier I will be happy to show and tell....because you guys inspired me to go ahead and do the reconstruction. My Surgery is scheduled July 1, so I should be in good shape, no pun intended, by reunion time.
-
Brenda: is your condo at South Point? I've stayed there before and it's pretty nice. The living rooms have that little kitchen and it's quite nice. Either way, thank you for the offer. I'm sure several of us would like to take you up on it for a little get together. I knew I didn't get to meet everyone I wanted to, or spend enough time with everyone.
I have my Stage II DIEP, hopefully before Vegas and I'll be all done except tattoos!!! I'd like to have my truncal LE under control, this swelling is ugly. But.....we'll see.
-
No, sheChirple we have stayed at the ones by South Point but we are booked at Grand Desert. It is less than a mile from the strip. BrendaE
-
Yeppers, the Wyndham Grand Desert a block and a half behind Planet Hollywood on the opposite side of the street.
-
WOW...that Wyndham Grand Desert looks nice! They have suites up to 12 persons (not available that week, but) 2-4-6-8 per room, reasonable rates, close to the strip. They have only 2 bedroom condo, sleeps 6, but for $143/night for that weekend. Hmmmmmmmmmm
-
It sounds good, but I'm a maximum 2 to a room type person so I don't think I could do that. Or...were you just talking in general Mary, not for the Sept get-together necessarily? In which case - never mind!!!
-
marlegal: I am going to stay there because we own there. Probably saske too, but because since we own we don't want to pay to stay somewhere else.
But i do want to host a wine and cheese soirée for the early birds...the condo is plenty big to entertain in. And people and bring their swim suits and swim if they want also. I'm getting excited already. Can't wait to see everybody. Beatmon
-
Has Tracy started a thread yet for the next reunion? (I think it will be the 6th, yes?)
-
Haven't seen a thread.
Coffee get together is good. Or whatever.
-
Yes girls I have already booked a three bedroom - will sleep 10 if you use the pull out couch in the living room. My daughter turned 21 last November and wants to come this year - It is my 5th anniversary so am trying to see if I can get both of my cousins and my BFF to come this year too!!
-
sounds good Brenda, thanks for the invite
Never too early for the countdown to begin in my opinion!
-
I'm going to Vegas again in May! My hubby has a meeting, guess I will have to suffer through another trip there. We are going in 2 days early and staying at the Cosmo, then moving to the Wynn for the meeting. Should be great weather.
-
Sounds so fun, Beatmon!
-
Want company, Neeners? What are the dates? We could scout out some fun stuff to do for the group. You know, "test the waters (and the wine)"! It's only a 4 hr drive for me, and, if I'm not busy at work (LOL) I could always use a get away!
-
You KNOW I'd do it!
-
Attention....Tracey started the new thread......
TA TA SISTETHOOD 6th REUNION!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
