THE 5TH TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS BABY!!!

I found some pink hair chalk and some pink hair dye (temporary and washable) at Rite Aid. Figure I would go all out this year!
Have not started packing and won't do it until the day before I leave. I have packed so many times in my life that it takes me all of 30 minutes to get it together.
Just need to figure out what suitcase to bring as DH will be using the one I normally take with me.
I do have a list in my head of things I need to bring and if I forget something essential such as a toothbrush I know I can get one there. However, I never forget my drugs
-
Damn Jancie, I knew we were drinking....didn't realize drugs were ok too, cool I'll bring mine!!! (Relax Laura, I don't do drugs...geesh!)
We were scheduled to go to the shore this weekend with company, but they got sick and when I told hub, he was like "Well I don't mind if we stay home" ... which I knew he was saying because he knew I hadn't done anything to prep yet for Vegas....love that guy sometimes! I am soooo relieved I have all day tomorrow and Sunday to get clothes ready, clean here, get pedicure, etc.! Still working full time and I have an early flight Thurs morning so need to get as much ready this weekend as possible.

Marlegal: I was at Freemont street and yes, it's still worth it. The construction is not all that bad, just the zipline not running. The party is still in full swing.
The fun thing about Country line dance is that you really don't need to know the steps. You just move with the line....forward, back, side to side. If you get lost, start over. It's also fun to watch. Wanna find me a man who can two step, though and tear up the floor (just don't let me take him home!)
-
SheChirple, I will keep an eye on you, so you do not take the guy home. Now if I can find someone to keep an eye on me, we will be okay!!!! Ha Ha
I can't wait to hug everyone. Vegas here we come!!!!!!!!!
-
I have that Boot Scootin' Boogie song in my head now. Ahhhh! Hee hee hee
-
Ok girls, sooooooo depending on you early birds......some are hooking up in 4 days, other's 5 & the main big gathering of all of us will be in 6 days WAHOOOOOO!!!!!!
I can't wait to see everyone again & meet all you newbies!! We're going to do a major big group Prayer on Friday for our Sister's who are needing us now more than ever
Wishing all a GRRR-EAT weekend
Take care Chow GOD BLESS

Jancie - are you checking into Aria when you arrive on Wednesday or are you staying somewhere else first? If you are checking into Aria - text me your room number once you get it (since you will get there before us) so that we can request a room in the same area as yours. Then we can text ours to the others so we all end up in the same area (or at least the same floor)!
-
I was just saying on FB that when I called to make my reservation I asked for my room to be by the block of room for the TATAS. Not sure how that has worked in the past? I've also only been to Aria once, just walked through, so I'm not sure how many rooms/floors it is compared to other hotels. Regardless - can't wait until Thursday! WOO HOO!
-
Anniese - I am staying at New York, New York with heymoose and mamamoose on Wed night. Not checking into the Aria until Thursday afternoon and NVDiane is the one that has the coffee/party rooms reserved.
Just so I can clarify - I am in the PARTY ROOM. NVDiane is in the coffee room with Estepp and Packer.
-
Okay Jancie - thanks for clarifying. I'll post on our private FB page the room that we get booked into on Wednesday and I'll PM NVDiane also. Hopefully, when NVDiane checks in she can post her room numbers on the private FB page also and when everyone checks in they can ask to be in the same area as these rooms.
-
Anniese - don't forget that you are supposed to call me on Wed when you have settled in so that heymoose, mom, and I can meet up with you and sis!!!
And then the party started...................................
-
oh good Lord...I'm so beyond excited that there isn't a word for it! I so hope that they put us near each other - I just posted that on hte FB page earlier tonight!
Found out earlier that there are two stores in the Aria that sell wine/spirits. I imagine it's more expensive than other places, but for the convenience, I'm all over that!!! (I mean...some of my sisters might want a little vodka or wine..not that I want it at all...not me!!!)
-
Marlegal - there are liquor stores on the side streets - one by Barnaby Coast or what it used to be called - next to the Flamingo.
I got some more "pink" stuff today - nothing that I would ever wear except in Vegas. Did my nails but they look like crap because (1) I did them myself and (2) the polish is old and thick.
Another trip to the store and that is to get some nice nail polish. Anybody got suggestions on a Revlon nail polish pink color???
-
Hey Jancie, we will also be hooking up w Gisella. Then the party will start.
Hugs all and real hugs in a few days.
Vegas here comes the Ta Ta Sisterhood!!!!!!!!!

Requested via FB, here is the schedule again for next weekend:
- Thursday, September 26th
9:00pm – Pre-gathering – Gilley’s at Treasure Island
- Friday, September 27th
10:00am – Cabana available at Aria pool area. Mary H. will be hosting this. If you are interested, you can pay her for participating when you arrive. She will not have the specific cabana information until the morning of, so just look for a cabana that is “marked” in some way to signify BCO. If Mary cannot get a Cabana we can hang out by the pool.
7:00pm - Meet and Greet – The Pub at Monte Carlo - Whatever we order will have to be paid on one check that will include 20% gratuity. So, PLEASE bring CASH!!! The Pub is located in the Monte Carlo which is attached to the Aria Hotel. To get there you walk toward the "Roasted Bean" in Aria, go up the escalator, turn right toward the tram and enter Monte Carlo. Go down escalator toward Starbucks and next to "The Crepe" is The Pub. (FYI - Happy Hour is 3-6.)
9:30pm - Dancing – Mizuya Lounge in Mandalay Bay - $5 per person fee (to be collected at the Meet and Greet) and two drink p/person minimum at lounge. Mizuya Lounge is located in Mandalay Bay (you can walk through Monte Carlo, into NYNY to the bridge to Excalibur and then take the tram at Excalibur to Mandalay Bay) and is on the casino level towards back end (look for signage). Opening band will be playing when we arrive, main band (called Phoenix) will start at 10:30.
- Saturday, September 28th
10:00am - Group Breakfast - Kahunaville at Treasure Island; everyone orders individually off menu; approximate cost is $15 p/person (more or less depending on what is ordered)
8:00pm - Piano Bar - New York New York; $10 p/person cover charge
- Sunday, September 29th
1:30pm - Brunch at Wicked Spoon - gather outside buffet and be ready to enter at 1:30; cost has been pre-paid to Tracey ($42.60 w/o alcohol; $55.51 w/alcohol - either unlimited Champagne, Bloody Mary or Mimosa). Please contact her if you haven’t sent in payment yet.
5:00pm (or whenever the group decides to go) - Freemont Street; we usually grab a limo or bus at a designated area a couple hours after brunch for the whole group to go downtown together; approximate cost $15 p/person; on own for return using cabs - cost is around $20 (shared by 4 or 5 people = $5) - so around $20 p/person
10:00pm (or whenever) - Farewell gathering - Rhumbar at Mirage - no reservation, just take over space.
For those of us that will be there Monday for breakfast we will find a place to have breakfast on Monday. Once again thank you to all the sisters that helped organize this schedule, it takes many of us and a lot of patience to put this event together.

Went shopping at Walmart and got:
white/pink tennis shoes
2 pairs of fake eyelashes
pink eye lid color that has glitter
bright pink nail polish
lots of travel size items
I already had the pink hair chalk and pink hair dye.
I think I am set! Surprised that Michael's and Walmart did not have many BC items out for sale yet.
Oh and everytime I think about fake eyelashes it reminds me of the I Love Lucy episode where one was coming off her eye lid and she was making these hilarious faces.
-
Estepp, Coolbeans/Shelley is my roommate. I knew I had sent you her info before! Ha
-
Beatmom, condo........very cool. I stayed at the Grandview Las Vegas least weekend and it was so nice to have a little mini home, with the kitchen and all. We even had washer/dryer. I'm changing my mind about timeshares.
Jancie, I saw the cutest fake eyelashes with GLITTER/rhinestones! Cute.....Love that ILL episode. I'm a big fan.
I thought I would not have enough clothes. Now I'm trying to figure out how to pack them all, how many changes I can make in one day. Do I even care about looking good over being comfortable (still in the throws of reconstruction and post major weight loss = body image issues, even in clothes). I'm sure comfort will win out. Who am I trying to impress? I found a GREAT boutique at the Venetian. I don't know what the boutique is called, but it has Joseph Bibkoff!! Must revisit. Hubby is encouraging shopping!!!! Gotta love that man.♥
So excited. Will be busy all week being sure I have it all packed: clothes (eh), shoes (and boots!), bathing suit, hat, sunblock, etc...., wine (don't forget the corkscrew - flyers, you cannot get it through airport security they'll take it away), cheese (on ice, slicer) & crackers, coffee pot & filters (someone is bringing coffee, creamer and sugar), coffee cups, plastic wine 'cups'.....and the one essential - AMEX card for anything I forgot to pack!
All the packing nonsense aside, I can't wait to see you all. I made so many new friends last year, and looking forward to making more. I enjoy the relaxing 'get to know you' moments as much as all the fun and dancing.
If I promised anyone I would bring anything, please remind me.
-
Still nothing on Lola...... Gisella?? Did you get info
-
I've been trying to stay well and load up on zinc and vit c. Does anyone else have problems with zinc? Gosh it makes me feel horrible!!! Even tried Airborne chewable tablets and I'm sick to my stomach. Anything else I should try? I'm under so much stress right now....work...renovation of home about to move into...packing existing home...etc. Oh, and I felt I needed to trade in my car over the weekend. Just shoot me now okay.
-
Beatmom is that the Wyndham Grand Desert - that is where me and my two roomies will be as well.
Saskie
-
SheChirple -- You and I will be fighting over any man who can two-step!!
Pink hair stuff sounds very cool. I've never done anything like that before, and there's a first time for everything, right?
I'll have to spend the next couple of days catching up on the video and whatever else I've missed.... I fly out tomorrow!!! Yay!!! Still need to pack and get mani-pedi!!
CANNOT WAIT to see you all!!!!!
-
