Just starting today....I have to log in every time I go to the site. Also having long lag times when I hit submit, or try to switch topics. Has there been another "re-grading"?....not sure I think of them as upgrades anymore.

Thanks for the details, nihahi! We're not aware of any tech changes starting today. We'll get all this gathered info a report for the techs to get in the morning.

Thanks.....fyi....the "lag time" seems to be very sporadic and has been going on for a few days....sometimes it's fine, other times it is very drawn out. But, the having to log in issue is new today.

My response times have been mainly really bad tonight. So bad I keep expecting to get "server not found" error.

Thank you everyone (and we're sorry for the lag and log-in issues!). We're compiling your info, along with ours, for the techs. Anyone else running into this, please add your details.

I've have the most lag time problems when going back to 'my favorites' to select a new thread.  It's been happening off & on for quite some time.

My issue is like's MinusTwo … when I go to my favorites and click on a link … it takes at the longest about a minute to open the thread.

You probably don't need us to update everyday, but still having the same problems.  Takes forever to get back to "my favorites" after reading one thread so I can move on to the next.

How come we cannot cut and paste at all.

I cannot see a spell check.

Infobabe -- we are seeing spell check (the red squiggly line under misspelled words) and the cut and paste function (highlighting, right-clicking, and selecting cut or copy and then placing your cursor in an empty space, right-clicking and selecting paste) working just fine.

Can you let us know what you are or not seeing, and from what device you're accessing the boards?

Thanks.  I will try it out.   I use a Mac lap top and an iPad.

Infobabe, Mac-using Mod here! Spell-check can be turned on or off on our boards for Mac, by holding down the Control key when you're in the text input area. That opens a little menu pull-down where you can choose to have Check Spelling on or off - there'll be a checkmark beside it when it's on. The same little menu has Cut/Copy/Paste options when text is highlighted, or using the keyboard commands works too Command + x / Command + c / Command + p.

That's with a Mac laptop. I don't have an iPad to test this (*pout*) but maybe another member can comment?

Mods - I was just posting & hit the preview button so I could go back a page & re-read the post I was answering.  Preview worked but everytime I tried to hit the previous page number I got a message that said "this page doesn't exist".  Weird.  Once I submitted the post I had no trouble going back to the previous page.

MinusTwo, I see what you mean but I don't have an answer. I can investigate further and will let you know if I find an answer. Thanks, Mods

MinusTwo, a little experimenting shows that in Preview mode, the URL changes to one that reflects that it's anchored to the post form. Using the browser's Back function makes it try to go to a previous page that isn't valid, hence the error message.

You could open a new window to the thread if you want to refer to the post you're replying to, but it looks as though it's not going to work from Preview, sorry!

Thanks mods.  Weird new parameter since it worked before the last upgrade.  Oh well!!

Then again - sometimes I think I'm the only one who uses the preview pane to hold posts.

Hi -- I'm trying to update my signature block, and when I click Save, I get the message below. What does this mean? I thought maybe the sig block was too long, so I shortened it, yet I'm still not allowed to save and I get the same message. Thanks in advance for your help!

    This is the error message:

The change could not be made. Please address the following errors:

    * i

This is the signature block I'm trying to save:

    Carla -- IDC .7cm; DCIS 5.5+cm. Taxol+Herceptin Jan-Mar 2011; Herceptin Apr 2011-Jan 2012; Tamoxifen x5 yrs. RMX w/TE 12/1/10, exch 4/22/11; implant revision for symmetry 11/19/11. Nipple-sharing recon 4/12/12; tattoo 8/23/12. Left side prophylactic mastectomy w/TE, 12/13/13, exch 2/26/14.

    Sorry!

citykitty, when we try to make the change for you, we get an error message, but the second line shows as "The signature entered is too long. Please limit your signature to 250 characters." The character count for your new signature (including spaces) is 290, so that looks to be why you can't add the new information.

You could include most of your information in a couple of other ways:

By showing it in as much detail as you like in your Biography, with an abbreviated version in your signature where you could refer to the Bio for more detail.

By using the My Treatments section of My Profile to list specific treatments. We know that all the treatments, especially around reconstruction, aren't there yet, but we're working on it!

    We hope this helps!

Thank you! Good to know the problem was in fact length, although I couldn't tell how much shorter it needed to be. Thanks for clarifying and also for your other suggestions (and working on it over the weekend!).

Mods - regarding data in the signature position - I've done mine there since I think the treatment "blocks" make my messages way too long.  My request - could we please go back to the option to turn off the signature and treatment blocks FOR EACH POST.  I don't want to change in my profile because it's important when on some threads.  But when discussing books or dinner, etc.  it's not necessary every time.  That was an option when I joined and I really liked it.

Hi MinusTwo, we remember that option, and there are plans in the tech queue that would allow those reading posts to see a short version of the signature / diagnosis / treatment info, or toggle to see all the info that the poster has made public.

response has been really slow on my iPad all day: trying to see what's been updated on my Favs list, after selecting an updated thread, trying to post something.... Slowed down by too much Easter candy?
