Glad I saw this thread.  BCO is painfully slow for me.  I'm on an I-Mac most of the time, and it doesn't matter if I'm in Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome -- the wait for a page to open is painfully slow.            Deanna

I'm on a desk top running Firefox.  It was so slow tonight I didn't think I'd ever even get to "my favorites".  I know you all are working on it, but this is the only thread I'm going to try to access.  Really sad.

Wondering about the page loads.  Mine are not too bad today, but then I do have the wild swings at time.  Had the one perfect day where they were faster than they'd ever been.  Hoping when fixed it will be just like that.

I read somewhere that Mac users can't upload photos.  Is that correct, it must be because I have NEVER been able to. Are there any fixes in the near future or do you have a Plan B I don't know about? Thanks

I have a Mac and have been posting lots of photos and images. I usually have to resize before posting though.

(My problem is uploading photos to Pic Forum but as it's not officially BCO, that's a whole other issue)

AmyQ, what type of Mac are you using - laptop, desktop, tablet, and version of the OS and browser? Mac users definitely can upload pics, and we're happy to try to help you - we want to see your pictures too!

2TA, can you check with Lilah for help posting on the off-BCO pic forum?

Pretty  consistently today, when I access a thread it either goes to the very bottom of the last page (not where I left off) or way before where I left off. Have to check each thread for what I've missed.

2nd_time_around, not sure why you have this problem. Have you tried to log out of BCO and in again?

Forgot to include that this problem is occurring on both iPad and Mac. More annoying than a real problem.

I am not sure if it is my computer or server but the site has been extremely slow lately. I also have to log in each visit.

wrenn, we're all running into the slowness too, and we really, really hope the tech team will nail down a solution soon. Probably an obvious question, but do you have the "Remember my user name" box checked at the log-in screen?

Is there a way to navigate pages other than going back one by one? Like if you want to go back 50 pages?

Moonflwr, there is a little work-around that makes it a lot easier! For example, if you look at the URL for this page, it's:  https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/93/topic/787232?page=48#idx_1428

You'll see that there's a "page=48" near the end (I made it bold so it would stand out). If you go up to the address bar and substitute, for example, 18 for the "48" and enter the revised URL,  it'll take you to page 18 of this thread. Works the same on any thread, even the really long ones.

I do have the box checked and it remembers my name but I have to type in the password each time.  Glad it's not just me. Thanks mod

Does blocking forums increase "slowness" or is it just a coincidence? Thanks for all you do! This is a wonderful site!

When did you block the forum/s? Did the slowness happen straight after and is it ongoing? 

Also is the slowness intermittent or a constant problem?

Seems like it started getting really slow after I blocked certain forums (ones that don't apply to me).  Ongoing I think, but all in the last week.

Dear farmerlucy, The slowness that you report does not seem to be connected to the blocking of forums but rather related to the general slowness on the boards that we are all experiencing. It seems to wax and wane. Our tech crew is aware of this on-going and annoying issue and is working to understand and to resolve it. Thanks for hanging in there with us. The Mods

Trouble posting pictures from an email sent to me with an attachment. I tried copy and paste and then link, but nothing worked. Do I have to save it somewhere else first?

Barbe1958, We suggest that you save the photo to your computer first. Then click on the insert image icon that will allow you to browse your computer for the saved image and insert it. Let us know if that works. The Mods

Is the system running particularly slowly recently?  It seems like it takes forever to navigate around the discussion board.  Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or if it's just my computer.
