- A test upload from flickr : creative commons, (along with attribution ) - had to do some enabling of some scripts to get it to work. -

- Uploading from HDD appears to be broken.

No, Musical, i've not tried posting images before so this is a first-time problem; and on the Photobucket page, i tried each of the 4 options listed in that box on the right side of the page, got the yellow highlighted 'copied' message each time, but nothing worked.  SlowDeepBreaths seems to be having the same problem!

I had to switch browsers. Pictures work in Chrome but not in Firefox.

Ok Mod, the techies have now done something REALLY serious: I can't access discussion boards at all from my ipad (but I do have access from my Mac as I'm writing to you). I got discussion boards on my ipad an hour ago. now I get the BCO main page and when I try to access Discussion Boards, I get this message (I hope I have it right): Safari could not open because too many redirects. Tried several times and got same message (have never gotten this particular message on my ipad before).

Yes, they deployed some changes, which unexpectedly brought the boards down. Our apologies!

Hi Mods. Maybe I'm hallucinating, but before the maintainence, when you went to active topics, didn't it go beyond 24 hours? I swear you could go beyond at least page 12 (at least that's the highest number I can remember with posts going back at least a couple of days). Now it's page 9, nothing past 24 hours. It was the same logged in or out. I might be out to lunch, but could you please confirm one way or another? I don't remember having to check in every day to stay up to date before. Thanks.

So, this is what our tech help has said: (want to take a look, and let us know?)

Verified that inserting image links from Flickr into posts works in Chrome and Firefox.

The issue may be that it can be tricky to pick out the correct link from Flickr. When on an image page, clicking the "share" button reveals a panel with three sections. Members may be inclined to try to use the "Grab the link" link when inserting into a post, but this is actually a link to the Flickr interface for the image. The necessary link can be found within the "Grab the HTML/BBCode" section, after selecting the "HTML" or "BBCode" radio buttons, of the form "http://farmN.staticflickr.com/X/Y.ext"

For those on FF, what add ons you have installed and how you have them set can make a big difference with how a website is run. Teka, do you mean you cant add piks from your own HDD or FLickr, photobucket and other places on the web? By any chance do you have any security software like "noscripts" installed? Its another layer of security typically used by those concerned about websites tracking you and what not. Locking down your system is great but the trade off is some websites are anywhere from partially to completely broken.  You basically have to set up a whitelist.

When I got a pik from flickr I: Right clicked image > copy image location > open Insert image on BCO> Click "link" button> paste in the link > insert > pik shows.

Same credit as before.

Mods I asked when https was instantiated. Just wondering if it was with this upgrade? BTW its still not globally working.
