Mods, it sounds hopeful that you are reviewing a contract.

Mods, my location appeared before the new site launch. I don't want to go into my profile settings because I am afraid I will lose more valuable information from the stories I have read. Better not to touch it until it is stable. Everything else is in tact. Maybe people will figure out nj means New Jersey.

Mods,
I have been getting the access denied message almost all day today. After getting this message, I reload the page and then it loads correctly, Very strange!
-
Thanks, exbrnxgrl, the tech team is looking into it
-
I had access denied several times over a few hours until I gave up. Seems to be okay now.
-
Me also, plus the loading time has been very slow today on both my phone and laptop.
-
Yup - desk top here using Firefox browser. Site not available several times last night & again today.
And agree with Ruth... VERY slow. 'my favorites' is always 2-3x slower than active or all topics - but today is ridiculous.
-
YES! It is most definitely a noticeable slower load time today for all the threads I have been to. WHAT is going on?
-
Tracking data slowing things down?
-
Adding a "me too!" on the slow speed. I just gave up a few times rather than wait for it to finish loading.
-
I too was getting the "access denied" message frequently all through the day and evening yesterday. Had to keep reloading to get to the page. Also have been experiencing the very slow speed. You just can't win with this site.
-
Still getting access denied message today in addition to very slow loading times.
-
Getting more "access denied" again today. Slowness also continues.
-
I stopped posting on this thread a while back because it doesn't make a difference. It is meant to make us believe that something will be done to make a change. After 6 months we have to acknowledge that we have been gaslit.
I am back today not because it will make a difference but to rant. I was trying to help a poster but almost gave up after several tries getting the effing page loaded before and after posting.
Dying members don't count. So I guess money is all that matters. &**&^%$*##

Our team is currently working on the issue at hand, and there has been some improvement already with the Access Denied errors and page load. We are still working to improve the issue and will update you when we have solved the issue.

“Some improvement”???
I got another access denied error moments after reading your post that it improved.
-
"Our team is currently working on the issue at hand, and there has been some improvement already with the Access Denied errors and page load. We are still working to improve the issue and will update you when we have solved the issue.

Seriously? Google "gaslit"

wreen, noticed you deleted the post I was going to respond to, so I'll say it anyway. As I said a few months ago ( to a little backlash) since the March "improvements" frustration has reigned re:BCO forums and "glitches" are not fixed. More complaints about tech issues than MBC. It's like fighting a wildfire with a garden hose to alert Mods to all that is wrong here.Exception probably being totally accesss denied. As I looked back in this thread to about May, I saw posts by moth (who recently passed) complaining not about her declining health, but about the loss of her community as so many have gotten frustrated and left. That really hit me hard. But ,as we've read for months....'watch for updates"
-
nopink - I don't understand your post. You're writing that we shouldn't complain about the site because there are more tech complaints than mbc posts? My concern has been that all the site problems lead to fewer posts in general because it makes access difficult or impossible. As someone who's had to fix glitches, if I don't hear complaints, then I may not know there's a problem. The more complaints on the same issue, the more I know how many people are impacted. If you don't want to see the complaints, you can block the thread. Believe it or not, I have reduced my posts on this thread (and site). Rather than post when I encounter a problem, I just leave the site. However, when the mods claim improvement, then it's worth the effort to post they're wrong.
BCO's actions have reduced posting activity. Their arrogance resulted in several experienced members leaving the site. The site problems have disconnected members in need from their community. This is no longer a place of solace for me. I'm afraid of what BCO will do next.

“watch for updates”
I am. That last one was a doozy. 🙃
-
An earlier post mentioned moth who died a week ago.
Her last updates were not posted here at first. They were posted elsewhere, and other members posted that info here.
It is too difficult to post here. I didn’t bother writing to moth through BCO. It’s a pain to read PMs. Instead I used email and social media.
BCO, when you make login and navigation difficult, eventually it’s not worth the effort.
-
I'm so, so sorry to hear about Moth's passing. She was such a big part of BCO and gave wonderful perspective/advice. I always loved reading her comments.
-
I, too, had contacted Moth via email since I didn't trust the PM feature here to reach her. I'm songad I did it.
SerenitySTAT, that's not how I read NoPink's post.
Does this latest look like another security problem to anyone else?
-
serenity - Posting glitches is fine, this is the thread to do it and a few get corrected. Just stating frustration that "glitches" have so diminished what BCO forums used to be about. Maybe "Watch for updates "should be restated to "Watch Out for updates"?
alice-Interesting that this past week has been so full of access denied issues, but the announcement you posted was from 3 weeks ago.
-
I hadn't seen that announcement until today, but I admit my eyes tend to glaze over when I see those words from the admins while waiting for the next log-in step. And like many others, I don't come here as often as I used to.
-
Is anyone else getting this? WTF?
-
Not so far, I haven't.
-
Alice - Can you be more specific? That’s the My Account section with a broken avatar image and a cookie announcement that doesn’t link directly to the Cookie Notice. It’s been like that for a long time.
-
Clicking on Privacy Policy just leads to their About Us page. 🤣🙃😔
So their privacy policy = “Trust us”
-
Dang, 45 seconds for a page to load and earlier, I got this.
