Yay Kindergarten,
That's fantastic! We're delighted for you :-)
-
Good news Kindergarten.
Sorry hard to keep up with all the forums I follow here since there is so much I am learning and interested in so pardon me for lack of continuity and being a semi-regular & voyeur.
I just got hit with my first cold/sinus infection/crud since pre-BMX and it knocked me on my butt.
Sore throat, voice almost gone, achey, headache, low fever, congestion, cough, etc. Seems to be going around.
Stayed home from work yesterday & would like to do same today but I have to get it at least for part of the day. My chest area is so sore from coughing and it feels really strange. Off to the shower & out of here. Obviously no exercise yesterday and not so sure today.

Thank you, everyone!! This thread really inspires me to keep exercising and eat well!
Welcome fanbrits, you are off to a great start!!
Balthus, sure hope you feel better soon!
Thanks again everyone for your well wishes!! Have a great day!
Cheryl, you are in my thoughts and prayers

Here we are bundled up to walk outside. Since there was no wind, it was actually a beautiful morning.
-
What a wonderful walking group!!
-
Ruth...I love the photos of your walking group!!
-
The fun began in 2011. Hope many will join us in San Antonio in October. Can't wait.
(yes, I have been exercising the past few days but have not posted in a few days)

Great memories! (We were in Minneapolis; hbcheryl, me, badger, patoo, and Mary Tyler Moore).
I did Zumba & Yoga tonight and spent about 3 hours on a job reference form (I didn't have a problem saying nice things about the person, I just couldn't get the form opened up & working on my computer....grrrrrr......it took DH quite awhile to figure out how to outfox the technology once I finally asked for his help, so it wasn't just me!).
-
I walked w/ a friend at the trail today and yesterday. Our daughters have been practicing for their drill team try outs on Friday. We walk while they dance. I am excited and nervous for the girls.
Kindergarten-Congrats! It must feel great to not are any more meds! I look forward to that day. Enjoy your new freedom!
Ruth-Love your walking ro up pic!
Patoo-Looks like you had fun! S.A. Will be fun!
-
Happy dance, Kindergarten!

90 minute yin yoga class last night. I always have a hard time dragging myself out to class after a long day's work, but when I'm done, I'm always glad I did. I guess that's true of all exercise, isn't it?
-
I had to drag myself out of my apartment for my 5k run last night. All went just fine once underway. Which reminds me that I should probably get in a short ride tomorrow evening so that I am loosened up for Saturday's hilly Major Taylor ride. Tonight will be a short walk as a seminar and dinner first.
For the record, after work beats the 6am workout time my sister uses. I can't imagine wanting to do anything at that hour. Which reminds me that it's time for my exercise ball and a round of crunches. - Claire

Cardio Sculpt this morning and picked up a bunch of branches in the yard. Another nice day here, but we need to do a rain dance because it is very, very dry. Tomorrow I get to go to school and be the librarian....getting paid to spend a day surrounded by books, a pretty sweet deal!
-
Gearing up to take senior photos at out botanical gardens Saturday brunch and prom photos at another locale Sat. early eve. Not my day job, all volunteer but I love photography. Walked today downtown with coworker and now at the gym feeding the Fitbit Surge.

Ruth, Have fun tomorrow!! I miss subbing!!!
-
75 degrees in Denver today....and this week-end the Denver metro area is supposed to get 8 -16 inches and the mountains 3 or 4 feet!!! It is going to start out as rain. Should be a lovely week-end, NOT!!!
I applied for a position at work and didn't get it...was really bummed!!! Trying NOT to go there!! You know, the self-esteem thingy!!
I have nothing on my calendar tomorrow except to cook for Shabbat and go see my mother. So the day will be spend cleaning my ovens and my frig to get ready for Passover which starts next Friday night. I may even shop for Passover as who knows what Sunday will be like!!
-
Karen - I'm so sorry about the job. But at least now you have a polished-up resume and more interviewing experience, all of which will be useful next time around. And then to have Old Man Winter pull a fast one on you!
Half hour run last night, core workout this morning.
-
Congratulations on the milestone Kathy. Karen so sorry but my Dad always said when a door closes a window opens so there may be a better opportunity coming for you although its always hard to take "rejection". Love your walking group Ruth. Aww Patoo our first meet-up, that was such fun, and I'm so looking forward to San Antonio, love my "Sculpted Sisters".
Well good news on the Rooney front, after pretty much crying myself silly and deciding that I would go to my vet on Monday if he made it through the day on sunday, I took him in she said well he's still eating and his eyes don't say "he's ready" lets treat him for pain and inflammation, so she gave him a cocktail of shots and put him on Tramadol and Rimadyl along with all his heart meds and he's doing well. I know I'll have to deal with it sooner than later but my little boy is definitely a fighter and if he's not ready to give up, I'm not either.
I have been very lax on the exercise front this week, went to Body Jam on Monday and last night did Body Pump and Body Vive.
-
Dear Karen! There is a better job awaiting you!!
Rooney is a fighter, I think he is strong like you!!!
Have a great weekend, everyone!!!
-
RE: the job...thanks for all your kind words....I wasn't leaving my position, and I didn't have to interview...send resume to my supervisor .. she and her supervisor made the decision....I'm a school Psychologist as was looking for to pick up 2 days to replace a school that is closing....Oh well, I'll get 2 days assigned to me....Your are right, there will be something else.
No walk today, seems like when I'm cooking I don't get a walk...not sure if it has started raining yet, but the rain is going to turn to snow!!! Traffic and the grocery stores were awful this afternoon...its like people were going to be stranded for days and days and run out of food!! I just needed to pick up some things for Shabbat dinner and through the week-end.
Gotta go finish up in the kitchen and try to get a walk in....got a lot of steps to get in yet today!!! Only at just shy of 8K. Be back tomorrow night...
-
Oh, boy, I sure need to get back on the exercise wagon. I was out of town for 4 days and did no real exercise. I stayed with my 92 year old aunt and my exercise was walking her dog! Now, house guests coming tomorrow and that means giving them tours of The Villages and, probably, eating more than I normally do. And, no time for exercise. I drove home today - 5 hours in the car. I feel like a slug! But.....I will get back into it!
You are all good motivation!
-
Karen. . .I'm sure a good opportunity will come up. Sorry about theverything weather though. Cheryl glad to hear about Rooney.
Tonight was tax extension/payment day so Dh and I had a pity party at our favorite Cajun restaurant. I ate way too much and felt guilty so off to the gym we went.
Tomorrow, I'm going in multiple directions all day. . .chiro, then senior photos for a friend at our botanical gardens, hopefully time for a quick nap, then prom photos for another friend and finally a low country shrimp boil fundraiser at church where ds goes for after care.
Probably have to hit the gym again after that. . .but then it's Outlander night!

It's their lost, Karen & I do think that something better will come out of it. Good luck with the snow......yuck, time for spring!
So glad that Rooney is doing better. My two 16 year old cats are still doing well, but are using the 'we won't be around much longer' guilt thing to get more of the wet food they love versus the boring dry cat food (in fact, tonight I gave them some tuna fish....who has whom trained? ).
I had a great, fun day in the library, took a quick walk after school, & then did a bunch of lower body stuff with Denise Austin.
Happy Weekend!
-
Sorry about the job, Karen. I'm sure it hurts.
Cheryl: Glad Rooney is doing better!
Hi Everybody! Pushed mowed for 2 hours today and continued working in the yard pulling weeds, trimming, hauling, etc. for an additional hour.
Still wondering where Odie is!
-
Karen, ditto, their loss. Hold your head high and know there is something better to come. Cheryl, glad Rooney is getting relief (and you too!).
4 miles walk with Leslie Sansone class today. Bowling tomorrow then a little shop and sculpt.
Night sculpted friends.

Mary, the Twins just won their first game of the season, breaking their first nine games losing streak . How are your guys doing?
-
hi all and congrats Kathy on AI grad. Cheryl so glad about Rooney! He's feisty like you.
Really pretty day so been outside doing yardwork. Boxes in basement can wait for a rainy day.
-
Thank you, Badger!!! Enjoy the beautiful day, the boxes can wait!!!😀
-
Ruth - I've been hearing about your Twins - so glad they finally got a win! My Nats are 8-1 so they're off to a good start. The only game they've lost is Opening Day - of course that's the one game I've attended. But my next game is next Saturday -- against yourTwins!!! Any tips on Twins players I should be looking for?
Five mile run in the park this morning.
-
Geez, being 1-9, I don't have any advice on whom to watch!!!!! They actually haven't been playing bad overall ball. They just haven't been able to get the key hits when they need them.
I haven't exercised yet, but I will. Badger, enjoy your time outside. We are sending you cold, rainy weather (but we need the rain so much that I don't even care!).
