Wonderland, your avitar looks so familiar. Did we "meet" years ago, early on in the breast cancer "journey"..maybe on another thread here on bco or some other bc site

Gorgeous weather in Denver, walked to the grocery store (10 minutes each way) after work to pick up a few things and with the evening walk with my DH, I've had a good walking day.

Congratulations Ginger on your 5 years. Karen what an adventure for your DD how exciting for her. Mary that sure is a fun bunch you work with and very creative. LB is the BB the release you did in Stockholm? We are doing all the Stockholm stuff here, all the instructors are really hurting with the Pump/Combat combination so many pulses in Pump, I'll be honest I'm not particularly fond of these new releases.

Started doing my taxes today, why oh why do I wait till the last minute I've had everything ready for months, procrastination ughhhhh!!!!!

    Did Spin class tonight.

Hi ladies, a little history for new gals. About 6 years ago, a group of us (me, hbcheryl, badger, patoo) decided that it would be really cool to meet in person.....so we did. We got together in Minneapolis and had so much fun that we decided to make it an annual event. Since then more people have joined us for our annual trip and we have had a great time meeting up with other BCO ladies everywhere we go. Since 2011, we visited Chicago, Washington DC, LA/San Francisco, and last year San Diego/Oceanside.

The 2016 Road Trip to San Antonio October 21-27. Badger's mom has a time share at the Wyndham Resorts which she very generously lets us use; so if you come your lodging will be free (although you have to be flexible about sharing a room etc. depending on how many people show up!). If this sounds interesting to you (even if you are just a 'maybe'), drop me a PM with your 'real' name & email address and we will get an email group going with more details. We don't need a firm commitment until July 1. (At which point we will want to start getting tickets for plays and/or other events that need reservations). Even if you can only come for part of the time, we would love for you to join us!

LilacBlue, the restaurant sounds really wonderful. I am heading out to ride in the tulips on Saturday. Have been doing my other exercises in between. Nothing exciting to report on that front. Still digging out with nonprofit work. We switched email services recently, so lots of frayed tempers, last minute adjustments etc involved. Need to check my phone messages and praying that it all went smoothly as I boot up to take a look. (Other computer.....trust me, you never want to have 2 different computers.) - Claire

@ruthbru - I will look at calendar & let you know. I am in Dallas so getting to SA would be easy for me. Do you mind if I share with other Dallas area members on here from different groups who might be interested? I will send you my info. Thanks.

Balthus, awesome! What we've done in the past, is we've contacted BCO ladies in the local area and invited them to meet for lunch, dinner, hanging out.....whatever works for them. We have met lots of great people across the country. I have been following several Texas threads with the intention of contacting them once we have figured out what we are doing. You are now designated as our Texas Go-To Girl.

Oh yea, I went to Cardio Sculpt and, after cleaning up, zoomed over to school to sub for the rest of the day. I'm on lunch break right now. Subbing all day tomorrow. Earning my trip money!

@ruthbru I have lived here for 23 years but will always be an East Coast Yankee from New York never a Texan - you can take the girl out of NYC but you can't take NYC out of the girl :)

Balthus, I agree. I lived in NYC until about age 35, then NJ for a little over 25 years and now FL but will always be a New Yawker! Excitement starting thinking about our 2016 trip. YAY!

Did over 10,000 steps yesterday and today between Leslie Sansone (4 mi yesterday; 3 mi today) and shop and sculpt.

    Night sculpted friends.

It's going to take me a week to catch up on all the posts since I've been on Vacay. We hiked some, explored two caves and visited lots of attractions. Now I'm finally back on a dreadmill at our hotel feeding my starving Fitbit Surge. Photographed some great places and found new ones for next year. Pix is of Dh and I.

I would love to join you on the October trip, but I will be spending much of the month in Hawaii. My son and family are moving there in June and I HAVE to spend time with my grandchildren. He is a hospital administrator in the Navy and they will be there for 3 years. I hope to visit twice a year......at least. I hear you about saving "trip money." In fact, I just got a part time job at Pier 1 to do just that.....plus tile my house!

hi all, GREAT pix and congrats on five years Ginger! I second the invitation for "Sculpted Sisters" 2016 trip. We always have fun, see the sights, eat good food and of course exercise. Such fond memories and more to come! Ruth, I bet now you would like much better morning yoga at Millennium Park.

Logging 4.7 miles walked since last post.

Scottiemom: Love your scary (but cute) picture of you and your dh!

Badger: Tell your friend "Hello" for me! Dh and I may go back to MerleFest but only for the first day. We want to see the Steep Canyon Rangers and John Prine. Weather will dictate if we go or not.

Walked/ran this afternoon in the wind.

@ruthbru - happy to help but not a San Antonio expert. Have only been there once for a day about 12 years ago. I could come down for Sat/Sun but probably not entire trip as I have had a lot of time off form work this year as I just had my BMX in January & am still not up to 100% yet & may not have much PTO left by then. Just sent you my info via PM.

During our evening walk tonight, I dropped our house key and didn't realize it till we got home...I thought I may have lost it on the latter part of the walk, so I did the walk backwards....and guess where I found the key...in the street in front of my next door neighbor...if I had done the walk the regular way, I would have found the key right away....well at least I got some extra steps in....I don't think my fit bit is always accurate as the walk is about 1 1/2 miles and fit bit only was about 2K+ steps higher.

Love all the pics, Claire, Ruth, Mary and Scottiemom! High five on five years, Ginger! Lucky you found your keys, Karen. Hope you're enjoying the quiet time at home, LB.

What's up with New Yawkers wanting to be President?

Dancing with light kettlebells (my own invention). Then partner stretches with DD.

To follow up on Ruth's note about the travel group -as she and others have said, the trips are so much fun. It's a great way to spend a few days of vacation.

Scottie - that's a great picture - quite scary!! Where is that??

Yesterday was the Nationals home opener, pretty much a holy day of obligation in the church of baseball! We always try to go into DC early to make a day of it before heading over to the ballpark. Yesterday we hit the Phillips Collection which houses masterpieces by artists like Cezanne, Picasso, O'Keeffe, Monet, Van Gogh, etc. Their pride and joy is Renoir's masterpiece, "Luncheon of the Boating Party". I've seen lots of reproductions of Luncheon and have always loved it, but had never seen it in person. Wow - it's absolutely jaw dropping! I'm not an "arty" person, but I found myself in tears when I saw it - it's that beautiful in person. And yes, you're even allowed to take a picture of it!

    image

From there we went off to the game - which started well, but ended up cold, wet, and windy. At one point it even hailed, and we had an hour and a half rain delay. And just to top it off, they lost. But I still do love the pageantry of Opening Day, and hey - we'll get 'em next time!

    image

Ended up with over 18,000 steps yesterday!

Wonderful pictures, Nats! The Twins are 0-3....so there is room for improvement!

I subbed today. Sadly, I forgot to put on my Fitbit, so all the steps up & down, around & around don't 'count'. We going to banquet in about an hour, so I'm taking a day off from exercise. Happy Friday!

Yeah Ginger. Mysunshine Hawaii is great. My BF's family lives there and DH's brother was stationed there at one time so we've been a couple of times. I really need to go back. Nats, it was Dinosaur World near Mammoth Cave in KY. One of the many fun things we did on the way to IN and back. We went up to see my mother who has Alzheimers. That part of the trip was hard. She does not remember her only grandchildren. Had a good visit with my brother and aunts though.

Finally back home and in my gym. Today is our ds' 14th Birthday.

    Hi everyone,

It has been a busy week! I have been super busy at work! Luckily I got some good workout time in afterwards. So far 4 days at the walking trail and one at the gym.

    Ruth-Sounds like some fun exercise!

LOL Ruth! The concert was great but had snow coming home. C'mon mother nature, it's April, enough already.

Pretty morning but cold. Will walk when it warms up a bit and I have more coffee on board. It was a late night.

The spammers were at it hard & heavy overnight. Reported 59 posts. Love to thwart them but geez.

Also love the internet. Googled "two-note bird call" and learned it's a male black-capped chickadee I hear.
