Let's Post our Daily Exercise

Baithis, Hope your DH will recover quickly. Thank goodness it was not more serious.
His and Hers colonoscopies. You can go out afterward and celelbrate it being over!
Finally did some real exercise.....not that balancing on a ladder for hours and painting is not exercise, but......yesterday, I took the Lab across the street and we took a long walk....probably around 7 miles. I am not sure which one of us was more tired after. The last mile was pretty slow. Today, more painting and did the Leslie Sansome Walk Away the Pounds class. 4 miles. Tomorrow I work at my new fun job at Pier 1. 8 hours a week doing displays. 4 hours each on 2 days. I can do this!
Saving to tile my whole house.....one tile at a time.
-
Balthus I hope you DH has a speedy recovery. Odie at least you are nicely evened out. Mary my Hannah is going to your neck of the woods this weekend and she and her fiancee are going to the Nats game on Sunday (they are huge baseball fans).
Another night of dancing for me at Cardio Dance Party. -
Cheryl - hope Hannah enjoys Nats Park - and they'll be playing Ruth's Twins! We're going Saturday. Ruth - Odie's absolutely right about doubling the estimated completion time. I still tease my DH about his estimate of how long it would take to do our kitchen renovation. He had a week-by-week schedule laid out, with Week 8's task marked as "Enjoy our new kitchen." Well, Week 8 came and we were no where near done. I can remember standing in the middle of all the chaos in the kitchen and growling at him that I really wasn't particularly enjoying the kitchen right then. Of course once it was done it was beautiful, but getting there was such a mess.
Core workout this morning.
-
Odie, you go girl back!
Vi box at the gym this morning.
-
MySunshine! Have fun at your new job!! LilacBlue, what is Vi box
-
I hope cleaning for Passover counts as exercise cuz that is about all I am getting this week. Although I have been doing the steps at work and taking a long walk for a lunch break. Cooking and baking and baking and cooking and getting all the rooms ready for the company. Thank G-D for my wonderful husband who has been picking up the slack for the things I am just not up to yet. Funny as it sounds. I am having a tough time with peeling vegetables. I am having such pain from doing it. (and there is a lot to peel:)
hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather.
I cant wait til the holiday gets underway so I can sit back a bit and enjoy the family.
-
Here's where the Wednesday Women walked today. I will do Zumba and Yoga tonight.....my triple header exercise day!
-
Cool picture Ruth!
Walked/ran this evening. For some reason I was dragging.
-
PNY...cleaning for Pesach....need to finish my kitchen tonight, counters and sinks then start baking....DD and SIL arrive tomorrow evening.....I will cook tomorrow night and all day Friday. We are going out for the 1st sedar, but I'm bringing the turkey. We are home the 2nd sedar and have company Sunday for lunch. I only have one person extra at the sedar and Sunday lunch. We are a small lot....6 both days or is it 7. Not much left to eat in the house, tomorrow night I'll order pizza. Have a wonderful Pesach and enjoy your company.
-
Balthus, hope DH (and you) are doing okay. ruthbru, hbcheryl is correct, you need to watch more HGTV. They make it so easy!
Not sure when I last posted but have been trying to get something in each day. Today walked/ran maybe only a 1/2-mile but felt good to try and run again so that is on my plan for maybe 2 mornings a week. Then went over to pool this afternoon and ran/exercised for 45 minutes.
Night sculpted friends.

Balthus, sending healing vibes to DH. So lucky that nothing was displaced!
Chaoui is amazing, but I have to wonder if she got her doc's OK. That is a lot of mets. OTOH her husband is a doctor and also a runner. As I try to make myself move more, I'm also wondering where she gets the energy to train.
Lovely picture, Ruth!
Couples colonoscopies, ha-ha! I don't want to be that intimate with anyone.
Body Jammed last night. This was equivalent to 7,767 steps and 19 floors on my new Fitbit. Possibly all the jumping translates to climbing. Can't wait to use it in the mountains.
Happy Pesach!
-
Good morning everyone. Back from my long road trip--barely missed the snow in Denver. We were extremely lucky and had beautiful weather except for one mildly drizzly day in Santa Fe. We drove over 4,000 miles. Unfortunately, came home to the news of the passing of two friends--one from breast cancer (I had mentioned her here earlier). The other passed suddenly from a brain embolism. Life is fleeting and a precious gift!
Got in some swimming yesterday, but need to get back into walking routine.
Ruth: Gorgeous photo! Like a fine painting.
-
Beautiful picture Ruth!
Half hour dawn run this morning. I have a 10K race Sunday morning that I don't feel that I've really trained for, but I've done enough that at least I know I'll finish. I may be slow, but I'll get there. I think my spirit animal must be a tortoise - slow but steady. And I did go to University of Maryland whose mascot is the Diamondback Terrapin, so it all fits.
(It's hard to make a turtle look fierce, isn't it?) Go Terps!!
-
I am so sorry, katcar.
Good luck on the race, Mary.
Cardio Sculpt this morning & now off to look at flooring and this afternoon I will sub for a track coach......busy, busy!
-
Ruth that photo is gorgeous. Hahaha Heidi got to love Body Jam, I keep thinking I'm too old for this but I keep going back and the other night she did release #70 which for some reason was my all time favourite and it featured "Jump around" so yup I did lots of jumping too. Kat so sorry to hear of the sad news upon your return home. PNY and Karen enjoy Passover with your family and friends.
Last night went to Body Combat class with a girl who was a participant but got certified and was only given a class a month ago but my she is going to be a fabulous instructor when she has time under her belt, I went to her first class a month ago and the difference between the very nervous first time and last night was incredible I so love seeing the confidence and growth that exercise brings.. My friend goes back to the UK tonight, while he's been here he's lost 27lbs, I on the other hand have found some of his missing lbs but I sure will miss dinner on the table when I get home from the gym.
-
I mile elliptical and 3 miles recumbant bike.
-
wow...you are an inspiration....I am two chemo treatments into 15 and having trouble with fatigue. I used to get to the gym 4-5 times a week but its been a struggle recently.
-
Carol - welcome! Chemo absolutely flattened me. I did what I could during chemo - somedays, especially at the end of a 3-week cycle, I could walk or even use an elliptical. Other times, especially the first week or 10 days after chemo, it was all I could do to walk from the living room to the kitchen and back. Any exercise during chemo is a good thing and will help battle side effects, but we're all different. Some people are able to keep very active during chemo, and others can't. Do what you can but be good to yourself, and don't beat yourself up if you're not able to do what you could do before chemo. Concentrate on doing what you need to do to get through treatment. But do keep checking in here - we love having people here!
-
Welcome Carol, just do what you can during chemo; whatever that is will help you bounce back faster once you are done.
I am sad about Prince. A kind of neat thing, Mary is that a Minnesota Twin's tradition is to teach the rookies the lyrics to "Little Red Corvette". It is raining in Minneapolis today & the Twins Stadium in bathed with purple lighting.
Very true!
-
katcar: So sorry about your friends.
Cheryl: How did you friend lose so much weight?
Welcome Carol. Good luck with chemo.
Walked/ran late this evening.
-
Hi carole, good to see you over here.
3/4-mile walk/run this morning. Then more garden and sculpt. Gets hot here during the day so keeping the tender plants hydrated will be a challenge.
Night sculpted friends.
-
Katcar, gentle hugs my friend.
Heidihill, I agree with you on the couples colonoscopy theory.
Ruth, awesome photo. So sad about Prince......truly an icon.
Wonderland, some days our hearts just aren't into it. Luckily, we get over it.....
Gorgeous weather here yesterday so I took a nice 3 mile walk yesterday after work. Back to bootcamp tonight.
Happy Friday ladies!
-
Only 8K steps today....Nice walk before work, but no walk during the day as I had to take time from work to take Mom to the neurologist. And then too much to do tonight....cooking and baking for Pesach.....Tomorrow will be a long day!! Too much to cook!! Hopefully I'll be organized. I have a list and really hope that I don't forget anything, but if I do, oh well!!!
Will try to stop by tomorrow....
-
Welcome Carol, be kind to yourself.
Wonderland he always has a glass of wine with dinner and he cut that out and only drank on the weekend (he played golf 4 days a week and always used to have a beer after but cut that out too) and here's the big one, he cut out sweets, still had the occasional dessert but only once or twice a week. Took him to the airport tonight then flew down PCH and hit your hood Kathy and got in 30 minutes of Combat.
So sad about Prince, he was such an innovator. -
Welcome Carol! Cheryl, that is significant weight loss for you friend visiting - well done. Good for your newly certified who is making swift progress. HeidiHill, was wondering the same regarding energy. katcar0001, very sorry to read the loss of your friends. Kindergarten, good to see you and vi box is a boxing class set to music. Sad to read of Price and thanks for the quote Ruth. Have a super start to the weekend everyone!
Freestyle step at the gym this am.
-
Ruth - I saw some clips of Twins rookies singing "Little Red Corvette" on the MLB channel this morning - what a fun tradition and a great way to honor Prince. I hope they keep it. I also saw pix of the ballpark bathed in purple. Game on tonight - your Twins and my Nats. We were tempted to call my MIL, the rabid Angels fan, to ask her what we needed to do to beat the Twins, but after the Twins sweep of her Angels, we decided discretion was the better part of valor.
Took the dog on a long walk yesterday, just enjoying the beautiful weather. He was zonked out the rest of the night!
-
I got in a lot of walking when we stayed in Boston to see the marathon.
Wonderland- thanks for that article. She certainly is a fighter. Our good friend also ran the marathon for Dana Farber and raised over $13,000. The whole experience of watching the marathon was amazing. We saw so many acts of kindness that day. We were about 4/10ths of a mile from the finish line. We watched complete strangers stop and help another runner stretch out a leg cramp and others supported one another to the finish line. We saw a bombing survivor finish on two prosthetic legs. The crowd was cheering and it was really emotional.
I have been swimming and loving it. This is school vacation so I can go later in the morning.
-
Today is Autism Awareness day - many of our staff wore blue to show support. We have a strong Therapeutic Recreation section that got everyone on board - they even put up blue lights in our lobby to mark the day! I'm the one sitting in the slide in the lower left. (Yes, the Recreation Department has a playground in the front of our administration building.)
-
Katcar. . .so sorry about your friends. Through all of this, I am constantly reminded of how precious life is. Balthus, praying your husband heals quickly.
Dh and I survived our his/hers this morning with hopefully flying colors. Not much exercise yesterday or today. Tomorrow it's back to the gym and hiking so I can get my summer bod.
Scottie

Lilacblue, sounds fun!!
Katharine, so sorry about your dear friends!
Such a nice picture, Mary, and for a wonderful cause!
