Let's Post our Daily Exercise
Comments
-
Cheryl, so glad Rooney is off the hook for now.
We were at a family gathering today so no exercise unless I get a spurt of energy before going to bed.
-
Double workout this morning Body Combat at one gym then an hour later Body Flow at another (thought about you LB). Gorgeous day here unfortunately I have to play cleaning/laundry fairy for a couple of hours then I'm going to work with my roses and that always makes me feel good
-
Mary, check out # 52 on first base, Byung-ho Park. He is a 29 year old South Korean (he can't speak English yet and has an interpreter for interviews. He played professionally in Korea and knocked in the game winning RBI last night. Today he smashed a homer to dead center (462 feet!!) in the Twins win over the Angels.
I still haven't exercised but will do so right now!!!
-
Hi all. Like Badger, we had another gorgeous day here: high 60's, low humidity, pretty sky. I started the morning by participating in a community service project of picking up trash and pulling weeds for 2 hours at our public library. Then I came home, had lunch, and proceeded to work in our yard for 2 hours. Perfect day to be outside so I ended it with a little nap and reading my book about Walt Disney on our deck.
-
Bowling this morning then more shop and sculpt at a flea market. Got really nice plants dirt (pun intended) cheap. Then nice planters, also good prices, at Big Lots. Will put some in the ground tomorrow before they blow away. We have beautiful weather but the winds are crazy.
Night sculpted friends.
-
30 minutes on the dreadmill and an hour of toning with Denise.
-
Another gorgeous day. Sunny & maybe 75 later. Ruth, that cold & rain must have gone elsewhere or is taking its sweet time. That's OK!! Will head out for a walk soon. Happy Sunday everyone!
-
Weather is weird! Still gloomy and cold here, I am headed to the bae3ment for some yoga.
-
Snow is supposed to stop today...cold, sloppy and wet out!!
-
Walked to the grocery store, 2.6 miles RT in ~ 50 mins so not all that fast but felt gooood to move.
-
Hello all!!! Like the proverbial penny, I'm back.....LOL
Really am touched that I was missed and apologize for worrying anyone. The last couple of months has been very hectic and I needed a short break. We lost DH' s aunt late February to a recurrence which hit me hard as she was so sweet and encouraging when I was diagnosed. Still kept exercising until mid-March when I caught walking pneumonia. Took one week off and eased back into exercising before my annual obgyn visit complete with ultrasound. Unfortunately the results were not good so I am now scheduled for a d&c and hysterscopy next month. Oh, and did I mention that we are in the process of gutting our kitchen for a complete remodel??
Catching up on all the posts but wanted to wish Cheryl a happy belated birthday! Patoo and Badger, congrats on settling in your new digs. I can't believe how much stuff I had to pack up just doing my kitchen!
Continuing to go to bootcamp three nights per week and walk/run or elliptical two other nights per week. Hopefully our nice weather will continue so I can get some walks in as well.
Sending love to all!

Aced the Major Taylor ride! Great cause, as it's to get high school students on bicycles, and give them a way to excel in life.
Anyway, I was a bit concerned as the ride was in West Seattle going south, which is lacking in flat terrain. However, I failed to understand what "ridge" in Delridge means, so was fine. True, I walked a few hills, the worst being the one just south of SeaTac Airport. Horrible hill, grooved pavement, ending in construction in process so waited while they moved all the big machines out of the way. I was very glad to be past that point. A couple of other hills too, but mostly just fine. Got to explore new areas and met a couple of old cycling buddies I hadn't seen in a while.
Favorite type of lunch stop....Big Al's Brewery. They had a "dog" operation going to feed us. Polish sausage was most welcome, and goes wonderfully with IPA. Then, I rushed home as had dinner guests. The corned beef was a major hit. There was also a guest from Spain who found parsnips and rhubarb to be quite exotic. (He loved the food.) The beer my guests brought is a bit questionable, but I think will work just fine in the oxtail stew I still need to make.
After two more than full days, I slept in today and finished cleaning up this afternoon. Nice to start the week with a spiffy place.
Today, I dragged myself out to do a 26 mile ride on a FLAT trail to round out the 50 I need for the weekend. Lower abs are complaining mightily. They need to get used to it as the bad news for them is that I have signed up for the Skagit Spring Classic which features major hills. That will whip their sorry hide into shape!!!
Ready for dinner of trout and more spring vegetables! - Claire

I walked and rode my bike today. The distance is probably around 3 miles, but I am unsure due to my Fitbit getting ran over by a car. It fell off in the parking lot at the grocery store. I guess it is time for an upgrade.
Odie-I am going to get to one of those boot camp classes. It is a summer plan for my vacation, then I will have time to recover..
-
Welcome back, Odie. You have had a lot on your plate. I am especially sorry to hear of the loss of your DH's sweet aunt. I had pneumonia in March too. That really knocked me out. It took me a long time to get back to normal. Your upcoming surgery doesn't sound much fun either. Boo to medical things!
I have been so impressed by DS's do-it-yourself bathroom remodel; that I am trying it myself. I spent about 5 hours ripping out tiles tonight. I now have bandages all over my fingers, sore hands and am rethinking the 'do it yourself' part. We NEED to do something about the kitchen too, so if you have any tips, Odie, send them my way!!! (Tips beside rob a bank to pay for it
!)
-
Good to see you posting Odie! Cheryl, Rooney is a wonder dog! Had a hiccup Saturday morning in that my 72 cd was missing from my bag and had to teach 71, which seemed easy in comparison. Now digital and taking new ipod tonight - ready to roll. Bought a new used car on Saturday (Honda cr-v) and hoping to pick it up on Thursday. Going on a training for this Block Fit (click this) next week.
Off to pink pilates in a bit and vacuum and as we know, that counts as exercise too.
-
Welcome back, Odie. Cool, LB. Go, Claire! I love how unforgiving you are to those muscles.
Walked with DD in the rain before breakfast. No school today. Body Jam tonight if the gym is open. Looks like rain for the spring parade of the guilds here, which marks the end of winter.
-
Odie - I'm so sorry for everything you're going through. Sometimes it just all seems to hit at the same time. I hope surgery is uneventful and you're back up soon. I bet your doctor is happy with all your exercise - I bet most patients don't come in for surgery is such good shape.
Poor Annie and your flattened Fitbit! Lilac - that BlockFit looks intense, but I love that it's well-rounded. Let us know how it goes! Ruth & Odie - brave remodelers! We did our kitchen several years ago - nothing like having the refrigerator in the dining room for a couple of months.
Took advantage of yesterday's beautiful weather for some Garden N Sculpt. Core workout this morning.
-
ODIE! So glad to see you again! Sorry about your dh's aunt. Thinking of you and your family.
Just a quick post to type a link to an article BCO shared on Facebook this morning. I don't know if this woman is on BCO but she is amazing.

Odie, good to see you back here.
Can't get my head around cold and snow end of April but I was there this time last year!
Water aerobics class this morning and now gardening and sculpt as builders idea of landscaping leaves a little to be desired. Needed some flowers and palms so now have to get them into the ground.
Later sculpted friends.
-
Patoo it doesn't take long to find snow curious and strange. We've had two days of summer here and I can't believe Karen is seeing snow and Ruth's group had their coats on. Yet I saw snow just a week ago I think? Or was it two?
Cheryl I'm glad Rooney is doing better on his cocktail!
Yesterday my husband and I went for a walk along the river, 35 minutes. Today I did my first mow and sculpt - one hour pushing the lawn mower around.
-
After a practically no-exercise weekend (not feeling great) I am back at the gym on the dreadmill and working with the weights. Ugg! I can't take most of my supplements and no NSAIDS all week do to colonoscopy on Friday. Dh and I are having his and hers, i.e., bother on the same morning. At least I get the laugh of knowing that Dh will be on a liquid diet for the midday Braves game Thursday while I'm at work. Serves him right . . .no peanuts, no popcorn.
Ruth. . .the Braves lost their first 9 games. . .not a good start for a team that gets a fancy new stadium next year.
Scottie
-
Scottie: I've heard of couples massage but never couples colonoscopy! Good luck on Friday.
Walked/ran this afternoon.
-
Hope you have two bathrooms in the house ......
I finished scrapping off the tile this morning.....ugh! I wandered through stores looking at various flooring options this afternoon (I definitely did not think this out ahead of time!). I went to Zumba and Gentle Flow Yoga tonight. Now I am signing off to do do a little internet search for bathroom remodel ideas!
-
April is the 2nd snowiest month in Colorado after March which is the snowiest. Only good think about snow this late in the year, is that it melts quickly.
-
Odie so good to see you, I'm so sorry about your Aunt and your surgery, you really have a lot on your plate I'm glad you are still taking care of yourself with your bootcamp, we have missed you but understand your need to step back and you know we're always hear if you need us. Ruth you are so funny, obviously you haven't watched enough HGTV? Scottie like Ruth said hope you have 2 bathrooms, couples colonoscopy is a neat idea. TH I have a friend who was visiting from Denver over the weekend and she was posting photos in the morning of brunch outdoors in the sunshine then of her car buried in snow in the afternoon. LB that class looks like fun, look at you adding different programs.
Tonight did Body Jam. -
have/will be Mia for a but dh in car accident last Friday and has a c7 fracture. ER let him out with cervical collar so non-displaced and stable but going to neuro today and tomorrow for 2nd opinions. Not what we needed right now to say the least but grateful he is (we hope/pray) ok and it may be a hassle for awhile. Back soon. Thanks.
-
Scottie - DH and I have done couples colonoscopies a few times. And yes, we each had our own designated bathroom! Reminds me, I have to schedule mine soon . . .
Balthus - thoughts for you and your dh. Take care of your self as you take care of him. Hope the visits go well.
Three mile dawn run this morning.
-
Balthus, sending calm, healing thoughts to you and your dh. Odie, this has been quite a start to 2016 for you and here a hug for you. Wonderland, thank you so much for the link and Carol Chaoui is so utterly awesome - my hero! Scottie, good luck to you and dh. Good going Mary on the running and Cheryl & HeidiHill, Block Fit most likely to be a fitness flash in the pan but what the heck, the training in local and by Chico himself. Beautiful spring day, back from the gym and need to catch up on errands --zoom.
-
Thinking of you & hoping DH heals quickly and without complications, Balthus. Scary!
I subbed in the 8th grade today. Three hours of really fun English classes followed by a two hour block with learning/behavior challenged kids, which was almost as fun as herding a pack of wolverines!
.
Barre tonight.
-
You guys are the best! Sending hugs to everyone!!
Balthus, sending extra hugs and prayers for you and DH. May his recovery be swift.
Lilacblue, go girl go! I was tired just reading your post.. LOL
Ruth, my one tip for renovations is to always double the estimated time to completion. That way you aren't stressed over timeframes so you can take time to get it right. Of course just hiring someone else is always good if you can afford it. I am blessed with a very handy husband which saves us a ton on our projects.
Went to bootcamp yesterday and today. Yesterday was arm day with a push/pull workout while tonight focused on legs. Sufficiently sore all over now.. ha ha!
