Let's Post our Daily Exercise

Hi all. badger, I take 1200 mg calcium, 600am and 600pm which includes 800 iu D3 but I also supplement with about 2000iu additional D3 since I test pretty low for Vit D even here in FL where I get plenty of sun. Snickersmom, you are doing great, take it easy. You are still early on this journey and will pickup over time. To all newbies, just let it be. We are all living different lifestyles now. You will get back to your 'new normal' eventually but stressing over what used to be won't help. Stay with this thread and you will do fine.
Anyone who wants to sync fitbits just PM your email address. I believe you then open the fitbit app on computer or phone and add the person. Whoever PMs me, I will respond with my email as well.
Exercise today was just walking around an outdoor concert as a volunteer first aid person. Oh yes, rode my bike 5 miles this morning.
Night sculpted friends.

Kinesis kicked my a$$ but was fun and probably better for me than the (easier) Pilates I couldn’t switch to because the netpage was down. I am in awe of you ladies who can do more than one class/activity on the same day!
-
Falconer, hope all are well quick and yes 19! Welcome Dives & Moth! Up early have the morning to get out across town to shop and then 1pm Pilates and 6pm BodyBalance. Good work everyone!
-
Walked to a local pharmacy to get more saline nasal spray and then home. Was going to get some stocking stuffers but they had nothing!
-
Classical stretch this morning. Now on to the other million things I need to do. Picking up youngest son tonight at airport in Boston, looking forward to seeing him. We are going to the Pats game Christmas eve - fun fun fun! And a lot of steps!
I have an Alta, which I love. I used to have the small fitbit (I think it was called a One?) which you clipped to your body, but when it died I decided to switch to a wrist model. You can buy after market bands on Amazon very inexpensively to change up your look. I have one that makes it look like a silver dress up watch, and my latest is a light brown plastic band that sort of blends with my skintone, so it looks more like a watch than a fitbit. If I am doing something that keeps my hands still (mowing the lawn), I slip the fitbit in my pocket and it records my steps. Overall it is a great motivator to get off your duff and move! I would be happy to sync with anyone who wants to, just PM me.
Now off to do more Christmas stuff!
-
Got in 30 minutes on the elliptical last night. I couldn't do more than that. I'm still wearing my Fitbit. I think I'm getting used to it now.
Pat01 - Putting the tracker in a pocket is a great idea. I tried to put the largest Flex band around my ankle. It doesn't fit around my fat swollen ankles.
Also, it must be nice to be a fan of such a great football team. Hope you have a great game on Christmas Eve! I hope our team can one day get back to what it once was back in 2002. They haven't been to the play offs in a long time.
Ruthbru - I love the picture, and your Christmas light tights! Where did you get those tights?
I'll send my email address to anyone who wants to sync up with me too.
-
Looking forward to syncing with a few. More accountability for me. Thanks. Pat01, I'll have to look for those bands as I like change.
Later all.
-
Uh oh, they say be careful for what you ask... Now have a few sync'd and so need to get out and get moving. This will be fun.
-
I know, right? I have a plan that will start on Tuesday. I always see people walking around our very large parking lot at work. I think I'm going to start adding that extra walk time to my weekly routine. I'll have to do that to keep up with you gals.

Another 1.2 miles today but for some reason, it's not showing my steps accurately. I'll have to work on it and have my granddaughters take a look at it to see what my problem is.
I'm really getting motivated now! But I did find that wearing my Fitbit Alta on my ankle was annoying. I do have some really pretty bands that my daughter bought me last year for Christmas so I switched to a floral design. But even though it fits around my ankle, it catches on my jeans bottom, so I stuck it in my pocket and I think it's going to be okay that way.
My granddaughter just came home from school and opened a box from Harry & David's for the family. Great. Moose Munch. I love that stuff. Just what I need. Ugh
-
Thanks for the add Patoo and TampaBayBucsgirl! I can not even tell I have my fitbit on my ankle. I turn the "watch" part to the inside of my ankle. I wear it overy socks. In the summer I actually had someone ask me if I was on house arrest! Lol I guess it looks like an ankle monitor.
-
We just came up to Massachusetts from our home in Florida and I wore my Fitbit on my ankle - and saw several people looking at it, so they were probably thinking house arrest, too! I got the full TSA patdown but I don't think she saw the Fitbit. Or maybe she did and that's why I got the full treatmen
-
Patoo, would people have to email me too or can we all sync up through you?
I got those tights a couple years ago, I believe at Pennys. There should be some good sales on that sort of thing after Christmas.
I subbed in 6th grade today (the last day before Christmas vacation). It went fine in a crazy/busy/never sit down sort of way. It's so cold that I am going to stay home and do some sort of exercise here tonight. I'll report back.......
-
Went to an active yoga/pilates class at noontime...which she ended in an extra time deep meditation...I was feeling almost overwhelmed by the active part and then so grateful for the unexpected meditation, just perfect for this hectic time of year! My last class until after Christmas, Merry/Happy Christmas to all. TT
-
Thanks for doing this patoo. I'll send you my email address as well. Looking forward to more encouragement!
-
Hello sisters.
I lost fitbit a few months ago. DH got me a diff activity tracker. For the last 27 days, my total is 292000 steps. Average is about 12000 plus per day. Hoping to start swimming in the new year.
I have been eating like a teenager who is on growth spur. Damned menopause and Arimidex. It is a miracle I lost 2 or 3 pounds. Aiming to lose 5 to 8 pounds to get to my ideal weight.
-
Welcome, Mimi!
-
I think anyone who wants to become fitbit buddies have to do it one by one......so, if you want to be 'friends' with me (or anyone else), you have to PM your email address (and/or get theirs) so that you can match up on the fitbit board..
I just did half an hour on the dreadmill & am about to do some abs.....
-
ruthbru, yes email has to be done. I'm certain they won't mind so I can PM you the 5 emails I got and you can add them. You can do it all in one setup in the fitbit app.
If they don't want to 'play' with you they don't have to accept your invite.
No "formal" exercise today, just finishing off getting the house ready for company and grocery shopping for Monday. Yes, believe it or not, I'm cooking! They know not what they ask.
Night sculpted friends.

Patoo, send me the website of those funky Florida leggings as well! Thanks
-
Hi sent the website in an email to you last night. https://brylahfashions.com/
if you see field for consultant please put my friend Carol Smith.
-
decided I was getting frustrated with elliptical, so I did the treadmill as fast as I could go and up hill for 35 min, while DS played basketball with his X-C buddies (all home from university )
Then stretching etc. I'm going to hurt tomorrow. ...last day of school!YAY
-
I've been challenged, so I have to try to keep up with these girls. It's going to be difficult, but I have to say that I'm feeling better already. I was able to get up to 33 minutes on the elliptical last night (level 2).
2FUN - I only average about 4,000 steps a day even with the elliptical. I have to step up my game by taking more walks (or something).
Patoo - I couldn't keep up with you. I'll do better once I'm stronger. I'm thinking about adding yoga again. I just have to be careful with my back.
Ruthbru - I may go to the mall today. You've inspired me to get my average up to 10,000 steps. I'm also going to look for some of those cute leggings.
Mimi - All I can say is, Wow! I don't think I'll ever get to 12,000 steps. That's awesome!
-
Patoo - I love those breast cancer awareness leggings! I'll have to do some shopping on that website.
-
Oh, I wanted to share a picture with you all. It's a Christmas tree that I saw at Restoration Hardware the other day. It's kind of pretty, but strange looking. Worse than a Charlie Brown tree if you ask me. Is this how the minimalist decorates for Christmas?
-
I guess I'm too old-fashioned because I like the traditional green, decorated tree.
You are all killing me with your exercise regimens! I still can't get my Fitbit to register steps; it's showing miles and km but that's it. Might be time for a new one. Or maybe this one is just plain mad at me for throwing it in the drawer last year and leaving it there.
Yesterday I walked 1.5 miles (yeah!) and then I came back home and ate a Christmas cookie and 2 Hershey kisses. Ugh. I need to stitch up my mouth!!!
-
The right tree is very important because I used to cut and sell them when I was a teen. The one I have is just glorious and holding up well with the water I keep giving it. The guy selling them gave me the "used to be in the business" discount. I was planning on going skiing today, but think will postpone until tomorrow when it should be glorious sunshine. Today will be a foray into Seattle with some last minute shopping in Pike Place Market. I may drop by the Hotel Monaco where my friend Carla is now a concierge.
Will mix up the last batch of puddings this morning so get the steaming done. Need some cheap brandy and then unsalted butter for the brandy butter that will go on the one I will be serving Christmas Day. I was able to get puddings to everyone at the nonprofit yesterday. Still need some more for presents.
I think I will do a wet run prior to heading into Seattle. That will set me up for the day ahead. I can't wait to go skiing as well. So wonderful to finally have a bit of time off as have worked every single day since the Thanksgiving holiday.
Merry Christmas everyone!!! Promise ski pix. - Claire
