ok, Ms Fitbit says I have done,Thurs 47 min, Fri 61 min and today 70 minutes of active time...all good with total step numbers in the 12K+ range despite a work meeting weekend Thursday - Sunday!
Soooo looking forward to my yoga class on Tuesday....soooo happy to claim my walks during breaks vs eating snacks during breaks here...while being questioned for "taking walks" at breaks vs socializing/eating,,,ugggggh!
Until I loose a few more lbs...not assured of being a 1 vs a 2 when I get home and step on the scale...
Oh, the matrix of decision making!

Ginger, so glad to hear that you've had some relief.
LB, I read the blog posts by Beth Caldwell. What a lucid mind. Wow. I do hope that you enjoyed the opera, though I've never seen Aida, it was my Aunt Mary's favorite. You see, I grew up in an Italian family and opera for us is that same as Nicholas Cage's character in Moonstruck; dress up, go to Lincoln Center, leave in awe. Lately I've been buying tix every year for my father so that we can keep this spirit alive. At 80, most of his Italian relatives have passed on.
I went to yoga class yesterday and did my first shoulder stand in more than a year. My teacher said it looked good so hooray.
Hoping the Sculpted Sisters are having good times and good weather for your reunion! 💕 -
LB enjoy your opera. I don't love all opera, but I did give birth to Kiri Te Kanawa singing Puccini. Just beautiful.
Vargadoll, I've also been to Asheville although not during fall color season. Very nice.
Trmtab, that's the way to do it! I've also been trying to get out at work and walk. I need the sunshine and the movement! Maybe you'll end up getting some to join you, especially when you start showing off that weight loss!
I ended up at the mall for walking yesterday. I wanted to mow and take care of the few leaves that are starting to fall but rainy and wet. So I walked all over the mall and then bought two sweaters and a pair of jeans.
Have fun in Daytona, everyone!
-
Wow, Ruth, snow? Brrr!! I am not ready for that yet!
Have a great time in Daytona and post some pics. Wish I was there.
Did Zumba yesterday morning and a fundraiser walk this morning. Very thankful the rain held off and it was not too cold.
-
By a miracle, all our flights worked out and we are safely in Daytona.

The ocean from our hotel

Recovering from surgery on my infected toe, so unable to exercise much yet — but looking forward to restarting as soon as the wound closes
-
love the pics!!
Ouch tessu. Hope the wounds heals quickly. Octo, hope you have a smooth and speedy recovery as well.
Just got back from Italy. We got caught in a snowstorm on the icy road down the mountain heading home. Burned a lot of calories on that adventure ride. Also played a ping pong tournament with friends.

Morning walk on the beach

-
I love the photos so much! Thanks for posting- brightened up a dreary November day in NY!
-
Today's exercise: knee bends and walked down to mailbox (at end of block) to get my mail, and back (with help of walker). Woohoo!
-
We took a very interesting tour of the Daytona International Speedway.
-
Lunch!
-
Pool Party!
-
What I want to know about that "lunch" Ruth is whether you ladies ever moved on to FOOD???? Looks extremely suspect to me. - Claire
-
Yes, we did eventually get to the food part
-
And the dessert part...
-
LB: Thank-you for the links to Beth. What an amazing woman. How was the opera?
Runner: Congratulations on finishing chemo!
Octo: Glad your surgery has been successful and you are actively recovering.
Tessa: So sorry about your toe. May you heal quickly.
Daytona Ladies: Loving all the pictures! What great fun you are having.
This weekend I went to a wedding in the mountains (near Asheville, Vargadoll). We were in a cloud/fog on Saturday and Sunday. The wedding pictures will be unique. The bride wore a bohemian wedding dress with a flower crown in her hair. The pictures were taken in the cloud/fog and she looked like Mother Earth. Can't wait to see the professional pictures. We had planned to stay more days and go hiking to different waterfalls but with the cloud, wet trails, etc. we didn't stay longer than the weekend.
Today I pushed mowed for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Then walked/ran before it got dark by 6pm.
-
Daytona gals...looks like a wonderful getaway! Love the pics! Ruth it's cold here so you are not missing anything! 5*this morning when I got up!
Day 5 post chemo today. Did 30 min low impact strength workout and walked about 20 min on treadmill before taking our youngest to his speed and strength workout session. Plan on getting up in morning to get some yoga in before work.
-
Runnermum, I will try to drag some warmer air back with me! We had a full tourist day in St. Augustine today.
-
Atop Castillo De San Marcos....this fort, built in 1672, has never been taken by force.
-
Some of our braver travelers climbed to the top of St. Augustine Lighthouse.
-
Was that some kind of fitness test? My blood glucose spiked just looking at those desserts.
Salsa steps yesterday. Tango tonight. But expecting a calorie surplus today as will go to a birthday luncheon.
-
Thanks Daytona ladies for a needed bright spot.
Runnermum, glad you are doing so well post chemo.
Octogirl, glad you are up snd about. Keep doing what your PT says to do!
Tessu, I hope the surgery was minor and that you will be up and around soon
I've had another set back so I have had just enough energy to get thru my work day. I need to get back to exercising.
-
Daytona ladies- you look like you are having a great time! So fun! I agree, that picture looked like it was a liquid lunch. Glad you saved room for dessert...
Zumba on Saturday. Walked in a 5Kfundraiser on Sunday. Water fitness class and Zumba on Monday.
-
We had a super fun lunch with a couple ladies from the Florida thread (SpecialK and Lee7).
-
Then we toured a Chocolate Factory!
