TrmTab: WTH! I would be furious! So sorry this happened to you.

Falconer: Hoping you find relief on your bulging discs. Good luck with your bone scan. Please keep us posted on the results.

Sweet: That is one sweet coffee table! You did an excellent job on it.

Badger: Ugh. I suspect when you get in the purple area on your chart you are telling your supervisor off. That's what I would be doing!

Ruth: Great pictures and good to know you have an all clear to start back gradually.

LB: Lol on the pink dorm room!

Peregrinelady: The news is mainly hurricanes and I never hear about the smoke in your location. Glad you are able to stay inside.

2FUN: Definitely discuss this with your onc. You don't need to suffer like that!

Walked/ran this afternoon after my errands. Watching Irma's path intensely. Thinking of Patoo and everyone affected by this horrific storm.

I'm so sorry that happened to you TT, I would be mad as heck.
Falconer good luck with the scan,
Peregrine I'm glad that the smoke is clearing, so sad to see so much destruction.
LB I will be doing 78 tomorrow as well, Mini Q and it's at my home gym here in HB, glad DS is getting settled, like Ruth says maybe posters or some groovy wall hangings can camouflage the pink.
Mommy hope you enjoyed some delicious fair food.
2Fun yes definately speak to your Onc, you really shouldn't have to suffer. I know I was allergic to one of the fillers in Letrozole, I had joint aches from one manufacturer and the other absolutely nothing.

Today I did my usual Saturday Body Combat, then went to a Body Flow filming (LB it was 77 and no I didn't flip the dog) the girl was fabulous so I know she will be certified, then filmed a Body Combat that didn't go so well, firstly she was so nervous, then she messed up so reviewed then started over and burst into tears in track 3, she was well supported and we all will go back and re film with her when she's ready.

As Sunday approaches I pray that Patoo and mySunshine stay safe as the hurricane hits - Guitargirl who some of you met at our San Diego lunch moved to FL and evacuated out this morning, she has made it to Atlanta, just hope her house makes it through.

I was watching the hurricane so much yesterday that I dreamed about it all night long. I was thinking about Patoo and Mysunshine. I hope they are safe or "back home".

Busy week here at work so I had a lot of catching up to do here. CDV, if it makes you feel any better, we have the same kind of "stuff" going on at work. I'll be nice and call it stuff. My work is moving us from cubes (oh we lost our offices a few years ago) into tables so they can cram more people into fewer buildings. They gave it a fancy name and put out the propaganda about how we'll be more modern and collaborative. LOL. Ginger, I hope you can get some resolution on the continuing hives from the allergist. Goodness that is an antibiotic you don't want to encounter again. Badger, fantastic results on your work-out plan. That must be encouraging.

I did manage three lunch time walks of about 30 minutes each. I even worked yesterday but at least from home and took a walk at lunch time

hi all, didn't make it to the gym yesterday. Was exhausted after two hours of picking veggies in the sun. Dug for potatoes and harvested tomatoes, kale, lettuce, beans (yellow and green), squash (yellow and zucchini), and eggplant. That was HARD work. I have a renewed respect for the migrant agricultural workers who do that job all day every day. Came home and napped then trimmed kale, chopped veggies, and made a big batch of sausage & kale soup. Yum! Had some lovely local bacon in the freezer from the organic grocery store. Fried that up and had an indescribably delicious BLT with a brandywine tomato for supper mmm. Did take a walk around the block after supper but was so whupped I sat on the front porch in the cool evening breeze with a beer. Sometimes you just need to chill.

Thinking of all in the path of Irma. So glad mom doesn't live in Ft. Myers Beach any more. Looks like they are due to get slammed and are under mandatory evacuation orders.

Gentle ((hugs)) for everyone but especially 2FUN with AI SEs, Falconer with bulging discs, and TT for the "not-exchange." I sure hope your next surgery is free of charge.

LB, LOL at pale pink dorm room. It's supposed to be soothing. Are they all that color or just your DS's?

Mom will call at ten this morning then I will hit the gym. Have my bag all ready! BBL with results. :-)

2FUN, as others have said, talk to your doctor about switching. I once switched from Femara to Arimidex for just a month and switched back. SEs improved with each switch.

TrmTab, what were they thinking? Falconer, good luck. LB, will the school pay for a paint job? badger, having a virtual beer with you.

    Thinking of patoo and mysunshine.

Morning all! I did not make it to the gym yesterday. Lots of laundry and running kids here and there. Dh and I went for a drive after supper. I could've gone for a walk but it was nicer to spend some quality time together. (He has an ankle injury that makes walking together a no go for us.) This morning I finished week 2 of C25k. I think I will repeat week 2 next week. It still felt harder than I would like.

TimTab, I'm so sorry that happened. I hope you heal quickly and they can fix it as soon as possible. Falconer, thinking good thoughts for your scan. 2Fun, I hope a switch in AI's eases the side effects. I have to make a decision on the whole AI/tamoxifen issue soon. Would like to lose the 10 lbs I packed on plus another 10 first. Lilacblue, that pale pink dorm will be the source of great stories in the future. In the meantime, posters and wall coverings. Badger, that definitely sounds like you got in a workout some yesterday. And that the "fruits" of your labor are delicious. Peregrinlady, the hurricanes have displaced the fires in our news too but these disasters are equallydevastating to the areas affected. I hope the air clears soon for all.

Hi all - gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon here! DH is on his annual Colorado hunting trip so I was naughty and skipped church this morning. Slept late, Finished a great book in bed when I did rouse and have been puttering around the house since. Laundry, vacuuming, scrubbing toilets, dusting, dishes, etc, etc, etc. We have some replacement windows coming on Friday from Home Depot so I took down window treatments including hardware and removed the window trim from three windows for that job. Will also have to move beds, night stands, pictures, etc out of the way Thursday night. Plan to dismantle all my box fans this afternoon, power wash the grates and wipe down the blades and interiors and then reassemble. Also need to get out on my deck and clean up some shattered tempered glass from a patio table top that exploded several days ago. DH swept up most of it but there's still a bunch in the spaces between decking. And I'm toying with the idea of getting out the reciprocal saw and limbing a bunch of small trees and brush we knocked down earlier this summer in one corner of our back yard.

So sorry for the AI pain and WTF on the wrong implant being installed! My apologies for the language but sometimes even WTH just doesn't cut it. I lost my office several years ago and while being in a cubicle is good sometimes for 'collaboration' with co-workers (boy if that ain't an overworked buzz word these days) I still miss the lack of distraction with an office. I spend most of my day with headphones listening to my i-tunes. Fortunately for me I don't have to spend much time on the phone so listening to music is totally acceptable. Praying for patience for all who need it right now in frustrating situations.

Thursday night was body sculpt with a substitute instructor who used to coach Cross Fit! He was a super peach, young guy who just loves instructing. Was very patient while he taught the proper form for a clean and press (which is one of my faves from body pump years ago). So, while the first 10 minutes or so was not even sweat-inducing working with an empty barbell, we then did the sweaty stuff including one 'super set'. I was rather proud of myself in that I upped my reps from 80 in the first set to 112 in the second and 124 in the third. And then I felt like the little guy in Charlie Brown who walks around in a cloud of his own dirt/dust, except I was in a cloud of my own stink!

Friday night was 90 minutes push mowing and I even backed up the pickup truck, hooked up the trailer and hauled the clippings to the city grass clippings dump (DH typically takes care of that but he's gone for another week or so).

Yesterday was a 90 minute drive to Kalamazoo for a baby shower, 3 hours there (including an awesome late afternoon meal of Pop-eye's chicken, homemade mashed w/gravy, mac&cheese, a delish cornbread casserole and of course cake [the meal was WAY better than the cake!]), 90 minutes home, watched Irma coverage then rented Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on-demand and laughed my a** off before reading in bed.

Love to all - time for me to get off the keyboard and attack the work I assigned myself for today.

    xoxoxo

    Sweet, you are Wonder Woman!

I walked for 45 minutes & did a 30 minute yoga DVD. I plan to add more toning back into my life next week.

I have been visiting a little old lady every Saturday afternoon for the last four years; having coffee, visiting, reading her the newspaper etc. She has declined physically but still as sharp as a tack. I was out of town last Saturday & when I went over yesterday, she was in very bad shape. I went back this afternoon just so she wouldn't have to be alone, and found that she had died during the night. Two weeks ago when I was there, a birthday party going on; and I am sure glad I snagged her a second piece of the cake with raspberry filling she so enjoyed.

Ruth, you were sweet to visit, and care. I'm sure that little old lady appreciated you. I'm sorry she's gone.

90 mins @gym. Had the place practically to myself as there was a Packers football game on.

20 mins yoga (eyes were closed most of the time but looked up once and HR was a nice calm 39 BPM), 30 treadmill, 30 weights, and 10 foam roller cool-down. It seems I do work out harder when I'm PO'd LOL. However, I met my two goals for the day: 1. Get up and GO, and 2. stay in a nice yellow fat-burning zone with orange interval spikes. Done! ==> 445 cal burned

Hope everyone has a great week ahead. Outlander season premier is tonight!

yay, Packers won! I scrubbed all the bathrooms and kitchen floor during the commercial breaks! ALso took my house plants outside to give them a good shower and TLC before they go back in for the winter. I am really noticing arm aching with all the upper extremity work. Gotta remember I am only 8 weeks post exchange. Goal this week is to plan out a exercise plan for each day of the week so I don't accidentally forget to exercise after work!

    Have a good week everyone!

BTW, Ruth, that is so kind of you to have cared for the elderly lady-I am soory she passed.

I am sorry that she had 4 SONS who rarely came to see her & when they did, spent very little time. They are the biggest losers......grrrrr......I don't understand people for the most part (end of rant).

I am doing my first sub gig of the school year tomorrow, so I need to drag out my bag of 'school supplies' (short stories, word finds, coloring pages, and a giant coffee mug!).

Got most everything done except trees and bathrooms. Second to last load of laundry is in the dryer. Loved S3/E1 of Outlander. Have read all the books and am really enjoying the stories again in made for TV form.

Ruth - you're an angel ThumbsUp

2Fun - don't overdo! Take care of those new puppies and remember......'just because you can doesn't mean you should'. Mantra I've lived by for my mastectomy, exchange and revision. Lots of internal healing still going on. [lecture over :)]

No workout tomorrow but do have a reflexology foot massage after work. Then more catching up, finishing up of housework for the evening. Never can figure out how two people create such clutter (and right now it's only one of us!).

    G'night all.

Haha Sweet I sure do understand, I can't figure out how my bedroom ends up in such a mess, I mean I clean it every week but someone keeps dumping gym bags ans shoes all over the floor . Clean and press is one thing that people do incorrectly, too much swinging so it's great when an instructor takes the time to partake his knowledge, shows you he's a good one.

Ruth I am so glad you got to spend time with her, I know she was special to you, and it is so disheartening when to see people who have lived full lives be left alone in the end.

Badger I agree, farm workers are such hard workers. I'm glad you got some lovely produce for your efforts.

    2FUN be gentle with yourself..

Today went to a Les Mills Mini Q at my gym, did Body Combat, Sprint and Body Flow - LB I did 78 and absolutely loved the tai chi, parts of it was challenging for me, up down, up down in Sun Salutations but I managed the whole release.

Cheryl, that up/down is a Pilates push-up, with added crocodile to up-dog. The tai chi sequence is nice and good that you hung in there to the end strong core work on track# 6 a&b. Ruth, your kindness made a difference and sorry for the loss of your special friend. Scottiemom, hope you are ok, in all ways - I notice when you don't post.

Our son's pink room for now will have to be what it is, not sure what color other rooms are and yes, anything to cover can help, yet he seem less bothered about it than me. He was pretty down last night when we spoke and hoping today, when he goes to his department (product design technology), that he feel's a settled, positive connection. Just wanted to reach out and give him a big hug. I'm packing for a over night away, as after Pink Ribbon Pilates in a bit -11am to noon, taking the high speed train to London and catch a train to Birmingham. I'm attending a one day conference Tuesday on older populations & exercise. There is a speaker talking on exercise and dementia, which is one of the reasons why I'm attending. Train home tomorrow night, getting in late. Thankfully, no rain here at the moment, yet bucketed down most the weekend.

Have a good start to the week everyone!

Back from 4 days on Nantucket with beautiful weather. Such a gorgeous island, even though you need to be rich to afford to live there! Rented a house with 4 other family members and had a wonderful time. One day we went for a 20 mile bike trip, even my 84 year old brother! I hope to be as active as him when I get to be his age. Nantucket has excellent bike trails, and even biking on roads was good because the drivers are very respectful of bikers. Upon our return there was an ftd delivery waiting for us - it was from my daughter and husband wishing us a happy grandparents day for our 4 grandchildren. Well we only have 3 step grandchildren, I thought it was a typo, but my husband figured it out - they were telling us they were pregnant!

We have been traveling so much lately, and now will be home for over a month, I am so excited to spend time in my own home, get back into routines, etc. Weighed myself today for a benchline, and hope to get regular gym visits in now that I am home. This afternoon DH and I are going for a hike in the woods to look for black trumpet mushrooms.

Thinking about all you Florida sisters - hope your lives return to normal soon.

Went to the gym Saturday and Monday. I find that I am getting muscle pain in the muscles that were in the radiation area my right side. No issues on the left. I am excited that I am down another pound and I can see that I am toning up in my arms and legs. I cut back the upper arm strengthening. I will take it at a slower pace. I am wondering how long it will take to catch the right side up to the left.

Prayers to our friends in the hurricane zones that not too much damage was done. We got married on St. John and returned last year for our 23rd anniversary. I was able to find a few pictures and the devastation is just heart-breaking.

Ruth, sorry about the loss of your friend and I'm sure she was very thankful for your company.

Congrats, Pat on your upcoming grandchild. I probably would have thought the florist made a mistake. Nice surprise!

LB, I always remember each semester feeling like I wasn't going to like this semester much and then after about a week I was fine. So hoping your son feels more "up" after a few days.

Congrats on the lost pound, Brutersmom.

Sweet, you are wearing me out just listing the things you're working on! Its nice to tackle those projects and get it done.

On that note, I did clean off my dining room table and the corner cabinet in the kitchen that had backed up with mail, books, games and other random stuff. I had to find a place to put my new instant pot, so I had to clean. Then DH and I walked about 35 minutes this evening.

Hi all: back from vacation in Hawaii, where I managed to swim just about every day, either ocean or pool....today's exercise was mostly fixing up my home office. I've taken on some consulting now that I've retired, but getting the desk organized is great for procrastinating over doing any actual work!

Tomorrow I will definitely get exercise: doing a treadmill stress test as a pre-op procedure prior to my November knee replacement surgery. Doc wanted to do a chemical stress test given state of my knees, but once I heard what that involved (poking and prodding and chemically inducing a higher heart rate) I said I was sure I could handle the dreadmill! We shall see....

Hoping all in the path of storms are safe and don't have too much clean up to do!

Congratulations on the upcoming grand baby, Pat!!!

Lilac, hope DS makes a smooth adjustment. Does he have a roommate in the pink room?

Octo, Hawaii sounds wonderful. Hard to come home to organizing for surgery!

Brutersmom, it is going to take time. Yes, taking it slow is the right thing to do (sigh).

I survived my first day of subbing (it was with kids who have behavioral problems, so 'survived' is the correct term), did a ton of errands (since I promised I would, I needed to get pictures from my family reunion printed and sent off), went to Zumba (so,so, so fun after not being able to do it for awhile!), and then to a fund raiser spaghetti dinner hosted by the Cross Country team (anything to get out of cooking!). I am now watching the Vikings, who are currently ahead of the Saints (knock on wood).

Octo ugh on getting prepared for your surgery but you'll be glad when you'll be able to run up hill and down dale.

Ruth glad you survived your back to school day and then got to dance.

Tonight I went to Cardio Dance Party and worked up a sweat on the "dance " floor.

We didn't find any of the black trumpet mushrooms yesterday, but had a wonderful hike in an area I had never been before. No problem getting my steps in yesterday. Today is meals on wheels delivery, then tackling the laundry monster which I skillfully ignored yesterday.

Hearing good reports from friends with homes in Florida - hope all of you Florida ladies on here are having good news too.

Tonight was 45 minutes each body sculpt and turbo kick. Hot shower and my fave 9" chicken ranchero pizza from the restaurant down the street and I'm one happy, slightly tingly/achy camper.

Some reading in bed soon then zonkers for me.

    Sleep well my sculpted sisters😘

Glad you were able to do the treadmill test, Octogirl. The drug one scares me, too. Congrats on a new grandchild, Pat, so exciting. Sweetandspecial, that sounds like a great workout and a yummy dinner.

Did C25k wk2 day1 again. No calls interrupting tonight. Plus the Y has Food Network now and that made the time fly. Felt better this week than last, so improvement. It might have been that Chopped distracted me, but, whatever, better is better.

Tomorrow is Herceptin #3. Will walk tomorrow night.
