Elaine is NOT having a fab visit with Faith & Julz
I have been exhausted all day, laid down for quick nap before leaving on my journey and zonked out for HOURS. sigh. I suppose I was not meant to go, dd came home from school looking a little green and quiet. Not feeling good and just going to take a short nap...like mother like daughter...still napping. Really hope we have not pick up some crude
.
Back to bed for me, night chickies

Evening ladies,
Thank you all so much for your encouragement and warm thoughts about my quilted purses. DH is going to help me post some pictures so you can see what I'm talking about.
I am so pooped! I helped DS stain the deck. My neck feels like it has been in strange poses, which it has and arms are ready to fall off. We got the second coat on all but about 8 feel before DH called and said it looked like rain was coming. We got it all covered and guess what; no rain! Of course, if we hadn't covered it, it would have poured. We are planning to pay David for the job so he has some $$ for the summer tour and I joked I should get a cut after all the work I did today. But it was so worth it to just spend the time w/him. We talked about everything under the sun, his newfound faith, old girlfriends. plans for the future, etc. Like the MasterCard commercial, the day was priceless. It's supposed to rain over the next couple of days, so we'll still have to finish it before he leaves on Tuesday.
I cooked dinner and unloaded and reloaded dishwasher then laid down. DH usually does dishes but had meetings at church. I even skipped choir practice. Tomorrow I MUST tackle the laundry. It's all in piles divided by color but they have to get into the washer & dryer. I don't think they are going to jump in by themselves.
I get two 5 week old kittens tomorrow to foster. I guess one is cream with dark points and is absolutely sweet. They had caught a third one, of five, but the mama kitty was tearing at the cage so wildly to get at it, they let it out. Perhaps they will be able to catch the last 3 and the mother before I pick up the other 2. It would be nice to get them spayed and all adopted out. We haven't been adopting out as many lately from PetSmart. I think its because of the economy. Many people are having a hard time feeding themselves let alone a pet. We have a couple of really sweet adult cats that had loving homes but were given up. It can break your heart.
Going to sign off and lay down flat. Hard to type that way. Thanks again everyone. You made my day!
Blessings,
Wendy

Would you like to come stain our deck too Wendy, it needs to be done this year.
I was wondering how much work it would be to do it but I think you have answered that question already.
-
We only have wood around the flat surface and the vertical pieces, spindles, on the sides. The rest is "fake" wood in an off-white color. When we rebuilt the deck in '06, I wanted something that would be easy to walk on and would hopefully lighten up the family room. The doorwall opens onto the deck. We are VERY happy with the decking material. It does not stain at all, even w/mustard or catsup. Stain that has dropped on it wipes right off. It is a material like Trex but I can't remember the name. It actually has a woodgrain to it. It faces west so it can get very hot in the summer. I can walk out there in my bare feet which I could not do before. I'm so thankful it won't have to be done again for 2 years. Of course by then, DS will most likely be out of house so DH and I will have to do it ourselves. I can't wait!

Mornin ladies I've got the hotcakes on the griddle all hot and buttery for ya. Time to start the day! As soon as I eat a couple of these I'm going to tidy up the bedroom, plant a few more things in my patio garden.
DD is peppy and back to her old self thankfully today and off to school. Our dog Sophie woke me at 6am this morning to take her out and then of course it seemed like only moments till it was time to start the school day hustle and bustle.

Mornin' Gals!
I've experienced a time warp, I guess. Looks like I went from barbies birds to herr. I'll have to go catch up. No housework for me today....xcept a shower. I feel that's housework. (live in a home with 3 unrelated males...uggg.)
Spiked a 102 fever night before last. Body chills and aches (aches ainn't the word for it!). Slept thru the night taking 600mg ibuprofen x 3 hrs. I have, and had have this weird rash on what's left of my 'sick' boob for a week. Onc prescribed antibiotics. I've took them all and the rash....not really a rash, just a round red spot....still there. When I got so sick, I called BS yesterday. She said she thought it was just (JUST) the flu but wanted to see me anyway. I go in at 11. Gotta drag self thru the shower. Plz send energy vibes towards CO. It's probably from all those black bananas! I'm headed over to the B&M thread.HUGS2ALL!Lursa5 Didn't mean to start out whining. I feel so yuckky and haven't even started chemo yet. What a wimp I am!

Howdy lursa!
Makraz...WOW...I haven't done a stitch yet... need too...but don't wanna!
Have next AC Tuesday the 12th so need to get something done...dust bunnies are HUGE!!! lol Send some of that energy over here, okay?
-
Lursa I think that can be the way that staph or strep infections can start so make sure she takes you seriously. Ask her point blank if it could be MRSA. Sending prayer your way.
arnie, as soon as this guy gets the neighbor kid away from his computer I'll send him over so you can get started on that housework.
-
Good morning everyone. I have been up and got the desk cleaned off, even filed away papers and shredded stuff no longer needed. The sun is out and they say no more rain for a while.
After my suspicious mammo and scheduling the biopsy on Tuesday, I did some retail therapy and found (what I think is) a gorgeous pink blazer. Now, don't fault me for liking pink... it goes well with my skin color... And reduced 30% and the sales lady took off another 50%, didn't ask why, just enjoyed the bargain price. I will wear it on Sunday for the concert my DIL is singing in at the National Cathedral here in DC. She is a soprano with the National Chorale Society. Then the "kids" will take us (her parents and me) for dinner.
Send me some energy so I don't vegetate the day away - I know there is laundry growing in the other room, LOL. Hugs, Nancy
-
