Barbe, that photo of your work is so cool! Is that machine embroidery? Do you design the pattern yourself? Really cool. I love all the texture. Did you check out my page of "photo quilts" on my website? Do you have a blog or website for your work? Now I have to go check your profile and check things out!! (the page on my site is KKsPhotos.com/floral-collage.html -- I need to fix the font on the page, so hopefully you can read it.
Hugs to all.

What a beautiful poem you posted Cathi........I couldn't even read it all to my DH because I dissolved in to tears. Thank you for sharing. Whoever wrote it is brilliant.........and whoever sent it to her Mom is even more so!!!!!!!! Kudos to your DD Cathi.

Barb, I am typing with both hands. Dr. didn't tell me not too, just not to lift with that hand for 4 weeks...hard not to tho,,,well, I enjoyed reading all your posts..I am working tonight..today is my 12 hour day.
hugs and prayers

Kathi - I just went to your web site - my, my, my, we certainly are talented! Your photography is beautiful and your photo quilts are breathtaking. I appreciate the restoration as I am doing some genealogy work and have scanned in a number of photos for restoration and some, like Ted Turner, I colorized!
-
I'm with you Candie - my doctor told me to stay off my foot as much as possible and when I am on it, to use the special shoe he gave me (wait, he didn't give it to me I bought it). I can't even find the damn thing.
-
Yes Cathi, sorry I didn't mention that poem, it moved me too....
Kathi, thanks for posting your site again! I hadn't bookmarked it since I saw it last. Still LOVIN' it girlfriend! I have nothing in my profile about what I do. I do a lot of "free motion" stitching and have more pics to post but can't for some reason it keeps posting the first one!
-
Yes a moving poem indeed!!!!! Amazing actually.

Talent Tuesday!?
I don't have a talent
I sure can ride a 4-wheeler like no other woman you've ever seen, and I can hunt down a pic on photobucket or google.......and I can get in and out of Walmart at the speed of lightnening and I can put down some chocolate chip cookies like no tomorrow. Umm.....but talent? Well, I guess the only thing I'm really good at is caring deeply for my BC sisters and wanting all of them to be healthy, wealthy and wise and happy. I could be the best cheerleader any of you would ever need. And I'm REALLY good at sending out big ole ((((((((((hugs))))))) and doing a happy dance when good news comes your way....
-
Coonie,
You have a precious talent for making people laugh, more then any stand up comic!
Your posts are just full to the brim with generosity, humour and kindness, they make countless numbers of your BC sistas feel from OK on a truly difficult day to tremendous on an already good day. You have hadme in stitches so many times!
Your gift is your talent for reaching out to people girl, and that is a talent that gives buckets full, every day. Thank you for sharing your talent with me (amongst others) daaaaling!

Awwhh Shiny.....you're just the sweetest little angel I know......
-
Barbe, love your birds in the nest beautiful! wow.
Kak, i must go have a peak at your site!
Faith, thanks for sharing your art, neat!
BTW: i noticed a fair few fabric addicts on here. I am a recovered fabric addict, that is I love fabric but can't sow a stitch!.. so I leave it alone! Anyhooo.
Just a by the by... kids with some types of sensory integration issues can benifit from using a weighted lap pad or wrap; these are filled (stiched into) sections of poly pellets, usually in soft natural or fleece fabric with pleasing motifs on one side and a plain side. These pads can really help but as there are not that many manufacturers, so they are quite costly.. if you ever want a use for your extra fabric think of the kids with sensory integration/ or dysfuntion probs and give the other makers a run for their money! Some are sold on ebay.. just a thought, as I've spent a fair bit of cash on some of these products myself.
I know, a real far strech from the topic, soooory.
