Thanks for sharing your talents. I have none, except I will share a coffee or drink or meal with anyone who wants to visit. I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler.. lolol...
To update on my mammo and dr visit today: my mammo was abnormal, but on the other side from the lumpectomy. It could be calcifications as it is very tiny dots in a cluster. Biopsy is scheduled for May 15. I will do the waiting game and then another wait for the pathology.
Hugs and Blessings, Nancy

Evening sisters,
I am so excited I just had to share my news even though I know alot of you are in bed already. I got a call this AM from a shop called Art in MI that is located in one of our malls in Livonia. We had been walking around the mall after dinner one night and had stopped in. I was carrying my quilted purse or tote and the ladies remarked about it and how unusual it was. They both said they had nothing like it in the store. I took some of my other quilts and runners in to show them and they really liked them. The owner of the store called this AM and would like me to sell my things in the store! I'm not sure if I can afford it because there is a monthly fee plus a percentage of the sale but I felt so honored they wanted my work. The other things in the store are absolutely amazing. If I did anything, I'd probably do it on consignment rather than making a bunch of stuff that may not sell. I cannot imagine anyone paying $75.00 for the reversable purse but both ladies that I showed it to said they would buy one.
In a way, I feel like Arnie does, that if I HAVE to make the stuff, the fun will go out of it. I don't know, I guess I'll just have to evaluate it and make a decision. It made for a happy morning though.
Barbe, I had never heard any connection w/fabric & lupus. I have both RA & lupus, the lupus is in remission but will flare occasionally. The RA is very active. I will have to see if the lupus flares when I am working on a quilt. I have the one to do for the breast cancer fundraiser before I leave for CA on 6/12. It will be an interesting experiment. I really hope it doesn't make it flare. I can't afford to feel lousy. I will be doing uniform alterations for the Blue Devils Drum Corps in Concord, CA. DS will be marching the entire summer. He leaves 5/12 and we will pick him up after the finals in Indianapolis, IN on 8/10. Very excited for him but will really miss him. It will be the longest we have gone not seeing him.
Take care everyone.
Blessings,
Wendy

WAKE UP!!
Good morning everyone! Another gloomy day here. I spent yesterday cleaning everything simply because it was too miserable to go out side. It's only 42 here and I'm hoping it doesn't get much colder. I took a chance planting flowers the other day, will it freeze? We'll find out!
I hope you all have a great day! Make the most of it!!
-
Wendy... how awesome is that??? I'm with you I think I'd go the consignment route...wouldn't
want to be bogged down with surplus... But am soooooooo happy for you!!!
Makraz... so sorry to hear you're weather has been so poopy
WON'T FREEZE WON'T FREEZE WON'T FREEZE!!! When I think of you I picture you out in your beautiful yard with all the nature.... I'm gonna wait and do housework tomorrow, this being our last day without rain for a few... I also have the "look well feel better" thingie to go to this afternoon. A neighbor is going with me...I'll let you guys know how it goes.
EVERYONE ELSE...WAKE UP....MAKRAZ AND I ARE GONNA EAT ALL THE COOKIES!!!
Ran out of chocolate chips so this a.m. it's snickerdoodles!!! lol
-
lol arnie I was trying to figure out what those were in the picture. Kept thinking they were potatoes!
Well had my plans for today changed a bit. I got a call from the school that my nine year old dd had been running in the playground and ran her head into a metal pole so I dropped everything and drove to pick her up. She looked ok but I knew if she was complaining to take it serious because she loves school and if she was willing to go home it must have been a hard lick. Anyway the doctor said to watch her and everything seemed fine.
Then this morning, after she dressed for school, we let her watch cartoons for a minute so she was laying on the couch and when she lays her head back she gets a headache. Kind of gets that achy sick child look too. It feels better when she sits up so it kind of has me too worried to send her in. She is wanting to go but I'm not going to let her till I see what this headache thing does. Will try to call the doctor too just to let her know the headache is back. I just hate it when they bumped their heads.
-
Yikes mom! Are both pupils the same size? The ones in her eyes, not on the playground. Please keep us posted, I hate when little ones get hurt....sigh.
Nancy, oh dear heart, the waiting begins. Please know you are in my prayers and I have a very strong God....I'm willing to share.
Linda, for sanity sake alone I hope you get some dry weather as we know what happens to dirt when it gets wet! (and so do your boys!)
Wendy, you go girlfriend!!! Make only things that you can use for yourself or gifts unless someone wants a certain colour combo and then of course they have to give you a deposit! I would pay $75 for a handmade purse, don't kid yourself! People love handmade things and you'll find that artists are very quick to buy other artist's work as we know the love that goes into it. Good for you! Keep us posted!
As for the lupus and fabric, I think it had a lot to do with the connection of unwrapping the plastic the fabric is sealed in when it arrives. There is a lot of gassing off with fumes. I went to furniture sales after that and it does the same thing! There's a lot of formaldehyde (sp?) in glues...T'will be interesting to see if you find a link. Keep us posted!
Whew! I've guaranteed us at least 4 more posts ladies! The thread will LIVE!
-
Good morning everyone- Linda we've got a yucky rainy, cool, icky day here toooo
. It is really not helping me feel better wwwaaaaaaa.
Wendy how cool is that! I know what you mean about having to do something can take the fun out, but kinda nice that THEY approached you and really like what you're doing!
Mom- sorry to hear about dd, hoping everything is ok.
Ladies...everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, has a talent, something special about you, unique and extra in this not so ordinary world...thats what makes each of us extraordinary beings.
-
Ok...for anyone who believes in the power of prayer...get it going!
Mom2two...please keep us updated...already sent prayers up for your precious little dd.
My dd just called...is dropping my grandson off at 9:45 a.m. She has to take my granddaughter to the doctor. Lilah went on antibiotics Monday for an ear infection...had a rash yesterday and today is has swollen face and rash over 80% of her little body.
((((((Hugs to all))))))))))))
-
Oh Arnie! She is in my prayers! Probably the antibiotics.......right?
-
Yes barbe we think so. When she called her peditrician yesterday about the rash...she told dd not to worry. When dd called me this a.m., I told her to call and make an appointment for Lilah with my doctor, totally trust him. Soooooooo, she did and is taking the baby soon. I'll keep you guys updated. THANKS for the prayers
-
Big hugs ((((((((((((((Nancy)))))))))))) here's hoping that everything is ok and B9 for your mammo. I just hate the waiting game too!!! Bless your heart. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Wendy!!!!!!!!way to go girl!!! You've got talent!! I hope that takes off like a speed of light. You could be a millionaire!!!!!!!!!!! woohoooot
Arnie, I'll tak the snickerdoodles instead. I'm not picky at all when it comes to sweets.
Mom!!! I'll be praying for your DD. That sounds pretty scary. I know you're worried sick. Let us know how things work out, ok?
Arnie.......let us know about Lilah too!!! Man, we can't have these little girls not feeling well!!!
Barbe....I hope you figure out photobucket soon. I'd love to see your posts!
Big hugs and prayers for everybody that needs them today!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Nancy- Hugs and prayers.
Wendy- That is so cool that they liked your stuff. I used to have a booth in a craft mall. It's fun!
Linda- Sorry you are having awful weather. I hope it doesn't freeze your poor little plants. Sending warm thoughts!
Arnie- I thought they were potatoes too!
Mom- Hope your daughter is feeling all better soon! You are smart to be cautious.
EWB- I believe that everybody has a special talent too!
Arnie- Prayers for Lilah!
I haven't been around much. I was up at the hospital for quite awhile yesterday. Never can just run in that place! I met with the physical therapist for my lymphedema lesson. She thinks I am very low risk to develop it, but I had to see her once anyway. Afterwards, I met with the clinical trial nurse and signed the papers to do the Avastin trial. Today I am having an ECHO and then meeting with her again to go over the chemo in detail. Another fun day at the hospital.
I don't remember the last time I did any housework.
-
Well the pediatricians office just called back. Told me to give her tylenol for the headache and that a slight headache is normal for such a hard hit, but to bring her to the er if she developes a severe one or has changes in her mental status. So for now I feel a little better, will just watch her good today. Thanks for the prayers everyone.
Arnie hope your little one is better soon too. I had so many allergic reactions to antibiotics when I was little. I'd have the hives and the swelling in my joints. Not fun.
-
Hey MaryRose.....we're thinking about you. I know there's alot to getting started with all this "stuff", but it'll pass by before you know it. And then you'll be kicking your heels up again....prayers for you everyday!! Let us know when you start your chemo, ok? Be sure and ask for nausea meds. They WORK!! You don't want to be nauseated. (((((((((((((gentle hugs to you)))))))))) and LOTS of prayers.
Mom---------what a RELIEF!! At least you can be home with her and watch for any changes. Maybe give her a quiz every half hour.....what's your name, what day is it, what's your favorite food.....that should keep her on her toes.....hehe
Continued prayers for you and your daughter today!!!!!!!!!!
-
Arnie,
Have fun at the look good thingie. I went to one months ago while I ws in rads. I thought it was going to be not for me, especially since I did not wear makeup and did not have chemo. I had fun, which surprised me. It was the first time Iwas in a room with all BC survivors, which felt good! Then we started using make up moisturizers, wigs, etc. We laughed alot and had fun. I hope you enjoy yours too!
I will be praying for yoru grandaughter. How awful for you all. I hope the doctors can help her quickly!
Mom, watch her closely. SImiliar thing happened to my son and 24 hours later they found he had a concussion and a hythema (sp??) , which was bleeding behind his eye! Ugh!
EWB Hope you are feeling better soon. Maybe some someshine will help!
Mary, Thanks for the warm thoughts. Can you please send more?? Good luck with your chemo. I hoep it goes as well as chemo can go. Hugs to you!
Hugs to you all!!
-
Arnie & Mom, good thoughts coming your way for the little ones. Hate it when children get sick/hurt.
I did make the bed this AM, loaded the DW (it's done but haven't unloaded yet) and thats most likely it for the day, except for some office work, Ed is hoping to come home very early today it is our 3YR married anniversary (6+total) he was actually going to take the entire day off, but of coarse everyone else had "something" that would make them late - UGH!!!! We are for sure going to dinner tonight, if he does get home early this afternoon we will do some beach time. I sent him a huge bouquet of I LOVE YOU BALLOONS to the office and I bought him this huge-crazy looking squirt gun he has been admiring (shoots around corners) (he and Alexcis have great water
fights), we don't do big gifts, just silly stuff or something small, I'll let yeah know what I get.
XOXOXOXOXO - TO ALL
-

Sunkist That's awesome about your bags and runners! ANother talented one in the group!
Arnie, that is really me in the picture my boat. That's what I do while the boys play football and swim. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!
Barb...wet dirt........no school yesterday.........no school today..........Thank GOd they are tearing out my carpets in the next couple weeks and putting hardwood down. It will be so much easier to scrape the mud of the wood than off the carpet!
My heart is breaking for Lilah! The poor thing! Is she more comfortable in a bath tub? So sorry she has that rash. Hoping she is better FAST!!
