Sooooo glad this week is soon to be over!!!
Lilah is sooooo much better... She's back to her diva self
Yesterday afternoon we got a call that my brother was being rushed to Grand Rapids Hospital.... All we knew was that he had collapsed and a Neurosurgeon was waiting for him at the hospital.... Well, at 10 p.m. last night we finally found out that he had had a brain bleed
Good news is that they are doing surgery this a.m. and the prognosis looks good
Geeeeeeeeeesh.... I fell asleep at 7p.m waiting for the phone call...then slept all night. Overload I guess...
Markraz.... now can I have 2 months off????? lol
Man the stories of the storms reminded me of the time when my mom made all of us get under the kitchen table...(no basement)...she preceded to go stand by the large living room window and look outside...I snuck out and went by her side...just in time to watch a tornado moving across Neifert's farm... the one and only time in my 56 years of seeing a tornado...but it is as fresh as yesterday... We've had some pretty wicked storms too, once had a neighbors tree fall on the corner of our house...but thankfully never any thing that couldn't be fixed.
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Hey mom, you didn't 'do it wrong', you just didn't do it funny! See how funnier it is the second time? hehehehehhe
I've been through hurricanes in Vancouver, BC and a tornado here in Ontario in 1999! Weather is so strong it's scary....our attic trap door was banging up and down with the tornado air pressure and we saw our lawn furniture flying by our window. My husband opened the front door to get it but heard the 'choo choo' sound and slammed the door! Too scary. The row of trees one street over were whipped right, left, right, left in a spiral (we could see it from above from our bedroom window) and broken to the ground that way!

Arnie, we posted at the same time, your bother is in my prayers! Now enough drama already! You're probably pretty burned out. You get next week off.
-
More prayers for the extended-Arnie-family. Be sure you wear your seatbelt this weekend.
Or maybe just sit in a dark room for a while?
I suppose it's time to actually do some more work around the house.... joy, joy.
-
Arnie, So sorry to hear about your brother. I hope the surgery goes well this morning. I will keep him in my prayers. Let us know how he is doing. You are right about wanting this week to end. I think you should take the year off! I hope you are doing well and are able to cope with everything you've been through this week.
I've got to go shower and take my boys to the boyscout rocket launch. They love doing this but always come home with ticks!!

A quick Saturday stop in to say Happy Moms Day again.
Arnie so sorry to hear about your brother, as they say never rains but what it pours. To answer your question about the bathing suit - Tomorrow AM is the first time I'll be at the beach with it, Ed and I like to go over early in the morning on holidays as it gets packed, we'll go up and get coffee and hang out for a few hours, the kids will be over after they go to church and other G'ma's house.
Barbe you are so right about Margo and the "P" thank goodness I saw it before she did WHY???? do dogs do that.
I just gave her a bath so she is going crazy throughout the house.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone - our temps are now at 90 degrees everyday, we still have our air off but won't be much longer, living by the water gives you a bit more breeze for awhile.
XOXOXOXOXOXO

Cathi, we need a new Margo pic. The first one we saw of her was after a bath, remember?
Deb, I need your help for stupid picture posting again! Welcome back! Where were you when I needed you?????? Glad you're feeling better.....did you lose weight? How is your range of motion? Getting better? I missed you....
-
Arnie so glad Lilah is better, it is tough when our little ones are not well. am so sorry your brother about your brother I will pray for a speedy recovery for him((((HUGS))))

Ok Barbe...go to Photobucket...find your picture, Put your cursor over the image you want, a box will appear below the picture....copy the one that says "Direct Link", then come here, click on the tree, paste what you copied from Photobucket into the "Image Url" space and then click on insert at the bottom.......VOILA! Pic on here!
Range of motion? I didn't do the exercises, I just use my arm normally...I mean I can feel it pulling and all but I just put up with it..I don't lift alot with that arm, when I do I can feel it...she told me with only 5 nodes removed, chances of lymphadema were scarce...but still not taking any chances...Ie; I know my luck. LOSE WEIGHT? Surely you jest...I can't lose an ounce to save my life!
Had a chance meeting with an old friend I've known forever yesterday, well I know most of her family...haven't seen them for a long time. Her Dad was with her, this guy is the picture of health, has to be in his 80's..Big robust guy. She seen my pink BC hat and asked me was I doing it to support it or did I have it, said I had it, and explained it all...She informed me her Dad had beaten cancer 3 times!!! And in between those bouts had Open heart surgery. LOL, he asked did I have a port, said just had it taken out, he said already? (He still has his in) I told him I was being postive, that it wouldn't come back..but after listening to his story, it made my BC sound so trivial...been on my mind ever since. So...this can be beat...it's a great winning story...

Welcome back Deb, glad your feeling better, Barbe I think the last pic I posted of Margo was on the other thread licking face, I actually have some on the camera I have to download I'll do it ASAP - not tonight though we are going to friends for snacks and dessert for our anniversary. We love them so much Ed and Tom actually have know each other sense they were 5, both grew up in PA Ed moved here Tom and his wife followed, they have the kindest biggest hearts of anyone I have known, butttttttttttttt neither one of them can cook, it is always so scary - I swear Sharon is full blooded Sciclian (sp) and can't cook a lick, both of her brothers own great restaurants in PA. Of coarse we are always kind and "munch" on what ever, but its sooooooooo bad.
-
Deb and Lori good to see you posting again. Sometimes its hard to keep up with where everyone is and if they just aren't posting cause they have lost interest or if they are out sick. Always makes me smile inside to see someone back on who I haven't seen posting for awhile. Not that I want you all to be computer addicts but its like meeting up with friends to see everyone post day to day.
I went out and bought some more veggies to plant and a big old concord grape vine. My daughter wanted to know if we were going to have a farm (think thats kid talk for mom you're going overboard with the garden thing). I am having fun with it. Not sure why I haven't gardened before.
