My hubby, but you can't have him LOL...I can loan him out if you would like just I need him back to finish the stuff around my house. LOL
-
Good luck Nancy, we know you'll be worrried unless they can tell you something tomorrow. Let us know if they do!
Ah Linda, how was the long trip with the two boys dressed so neat and clean in the back seat?
-
BEST THOUGHTS for you today Nancy, those follow-up tests can make one worry so, I am praying (and I know) all will be well.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
-
Nancy, I hope all goes as it should today. Gentle hugs.
Cathi, I couldn't see your pics on Facebook but I suspect you'd look good in a paper bag if your avatar is any indication.
But it is nicer when you actually FEEL good about how you look. Way to go and kudos to DH.
-
Arnie (hehehehe) I already looked after those windows for you.
Go and finish your coffee. Here is another.......

(((((((((((((((((((Nancy)))))))))))))))))))))))
It's 8:00 a.m.
I've been walked.
Bed made. Load of laundry drying. Dishwasher has clean dishes. And my closet could host parties. Let's hear it for rainy Mondays!!
(I absolutely draw the line at windows...... I don't care how much you gals motivate me.)

Good morning dust bunnies! ((((((((((((Nancy))))))))))) hope everything goes well for you today. We'll be thinking of you and sending good vibes your way!
I'm ready to get started CLEANING for the week!! I'm so far behind!!

Mornin' ladies!
My prayers and best wishes for good news are with you Nancy.
I couldn't see Cathi's pictures on Facebook either, but I am so happy to hear you found a swimsuit that you like. You are so cute! I'm worried about swimwear. With the pool, I spend most of the summer in a swimsuit. Not real sure how that is going to work out with my new unaboober look.
I have laundry to do today. And I need to call the clinical trial nurse and let her know that I will participate in the Avastin trial. I'm not looking forward to this week. I think things will start moving quickly towards the chemo now. I have PT tomorrow.
On a good note, it is a beautiful and sunny day here in Central Texas. Maybe I will decorate my porch for spring/summer. I usually have it long done by now.
-
Mary, have fun playing with colour on the porch! Love the colour that coonie is showing off! (You can tell it's been a long, white winter for me!)
-
I hear ya Barbe. Coonie's bright colorful pic made me smile this morning!
I wish you sunshine and warmth! And color!
-
Got 'em both right now!

Good morning sisters,
arnie, I don't know whether or not you were formally invited or not but there is a group of us in the area that is doing the Walk in Detroit on May 30th. The groups name is Wings of Hope and we meet for lunch several times a year. I met them in August last year and they are all wonderful. Several of them were doing the 3 day. From what I have heard, we have 9 survivors at this time and are trying to reach any others who might be interested. It is a 3 mile walk but there is a trolley that will pick you up if it becomes too much.
This will be my first year and I am SO excited. Signup deadline for the groups is May 12 so please consider joining us. I think we are going to carpool from Middlebelt - I96 area and will pick up our packets at Panara's on 22 or 23. After the race, they have lunch down there. We all wear really cute head boppers w/butterflies so we can keep track of each other. I can't wait to see my DH wearing one! It may be too much to ask, lol.
Even if you don't do the race, maybe we could meet for lunch sometime. I need to get to a quilt shop down that way in Westland, hopefully this week. Let me know if something would work out. Please forgive me if you are already registered for the walk. I'm way too competitive and would like to win for the most survivors. I'm on the hunt!
Gotta go and tackle the 7 loads of wash waiting with my name on them. DS packed ALL his clothes together, whether they were clean or dirty. Boy it's a good thing I love him SOOOO much! I think there is going to be extra work for nothing, but he is working for the few days he is home trying to bank funds for the summer, so I don't really want to ask him to do the loads. As long as he stays busy, he's safe. But the minute I find him laying on the couch, the hammer falls! We'll see.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
Blessings,
Wendy

Sunkistmi... thanks for the invite. My dd is really involved in the Westland Relay for Life this year... she's even gonna sing. Anyway, it's Memorial Day weekend too so I couldn't do both.
I'd love to get together for lunch sometime...the only problem I have is my onocologist has placed a "no driving" limitation on me.
We'll see if we can't work something out though.
My ds does that to me too! lol He hoardes his dirty laundry in his room all week and then dumps in on me...

Barbe, the long trip was actually pretty good. I only brought my oldest son and I was driven by my in laws who I just love! So it was a nice ride. My MIL is a hot shit and fun to be around. We had a good time! My DH and DS had soccer so they couldn't go, I'm sure they didn't mind!
FIL who's a state trooper got us there in record time!
Nancy Hope your dad is on the mend and the tests go well. I will keep him in my prayers.
Cathis pictures are awesome! She found the perfect suit and look perfect in it!
-
Gosh you ladies are busy already, but even though I am ahead of the game, I have the bed sheets washed and drying on the line, vacuumed the little carpet I do have and the dishwasher is loaded and running.
You guys are way to kind on the compliments about the pics, I hate that shopping is so hard for some of us, it should not be that way, I wish I was rich and could sew (I should have followed in my moms foot steps) I would make an attractive, affordable, practicle line of cloths, in my mind I know exactly what I would want to make. Texas the bathing suit issue was very hard, and I can only imagine for you it will be that much harder, my suit is not a mastectomy suit, and the material is spandex if that helps, no bulging in the front when you bend forward.
-
Arnie, I would be happy to come get you if it's something you would like to do. In fact, I would love to see some of your woodworking. I'm all over the place so it would be no hassle. Congrats on you DD's involvement in Westland's relay. I didn't know they had one but I'm not really up on all the happenings in the state. Is theirs a 3 mile walk also? I agree it would be hard to do two walks in a row. I'm praying I'm going to get thru the one! Let me know if you would like to get together.
Blessings,
Wendy

Coonie, how can your house need cleaning? You weren't in it all last week. Come and do mine, you'll find it SO rewarding.
Cathi, I gotta get a bathing suit too.........a one boober. I'm going for a Speedo style which (with a coverup when I'm not in the water) will hopefully do the trick. My one remaining breast isn't too big anyway and I figure a Speedo will flatten it out even more. I'm really pleased for you that you were able to get something you feel good in.
-
Morning ladies! Sending hugs to Nancy and Mary today too.
Woke up at 4am with another migraine but feel better this morning finally. So thankful when the headaches ease up.
Cathi I think the problem is they have to have facebook accounts. Maybe you could just go in and copy them onto here for people to see. I tried to but forgot my facebook password (again). As for the clothes I have had the same thoughts. Can't believe no one has come up with a clothing line for boobless women in this day and age. So wish I could sew too but there has to be someone on these boards going through this that knows how to sew. Pam where are you??????

Also wanted to make sure everyone knows that if they are interested in this thread then they BELONG! Just pop in anytime with a comment or chat with us. Sometimes it gets busy and someone's comment might get missed but just keep posting till we get to know you. Everyday is a different line of thought and once in awhile we actually clean. But this is the "everyone has a place here" thread. So if you need a break from the worry of bc and just need some friends come on in and visit. Even if you can't do housework, you can always think about it, right ladies.

Sharon I tried a few speedo types on, then I found this one, like I said it is spandex, so fits snug as well, and it is cut high enough that my yucky dented stuff does not show, if you are "small" on the remaing breast, something like this might work, because there is just a bit of padding - I actually look like I have "small boobs".
-
Cathi what store did you find it in?
-
sunkistmi... Would love to have you come visit! Yes, it's a really nice one...we've been involved for years, (through our church), but as my daughter said, "This year it's personal"... They have functions all weekend...on Saturday night we have a midnight walk with all the lumonaires (sp?) and a bagpiper leads the way. Just beautiful...

Making curtains for my dh's man cave...
see you all later...

Mom I bought it in our local Florida store BEALLS (not the outlet) (Mystic Bay is the brand name -I think it is a store brand though) as I have not been able to google anything for the Company everrytime I put it in it comes up for BEALLS or some stuff on E-bay. This one is the Pineapple Paradise line. I was quite lucky as well, they were having a sale for Mothers day, each piece in store was $30, but the whole thing after the 40% discount only came to $38, I would have bought another if they had one.
