I'm wearing the one in the middle Kathi.
-
But we're gonna have to wear these to get through all the mud on the field
-
-
You are so right about the attitude Kathi! I've had the stupidest hair cuts or glasses, whatever, but I walk around as if I'm the bees knees or the cat's pajamas and no one laughs! Maybe that's how I get away with not have foobies....
I LOVE the first hat above...I'll wear it with 'tude!
-
I love the idea of hats but have found that w/hair that has some curl (a STRONG curl) it seems to push the hats up and off! You should see swim caps, they really don't work
-
Just take a seat Ewb, I'll get you ready for that hat in a jiffy!
-
Oh, mom, you're such a practical fashionista!! Red boots to go with your red rose trimmed bonnet!!
Here's a hat I just actually wore to walk my dog! I am a fair flower with a family history of melanoma, so I simply MUST protect my delicate complexion by wearing what amounts to an umbrella on my head.
-
I'll wear this one!
-
-
Won't we be such a spiffy looking group!
Will pick you all up in a minute, the race is about to start.
-
Where is Coonie and Shiny????? They're gonna miss the race! Quick girls grab your hats and hop on!
-
Hello my dust bunnies!!! I'm here......FINALLY!! I HAVE been thinking of ya'll. I'll probably get kicked out of the group 'cause I ain't done nothin in my house all week. Real job's got me exhausted. Had to move DD back from college today. BUNNIES!!! Let me first tell you that there was ALOT more to bring back than there was TAKING to the apartment. Good grief!!!! I thought I was gonna pass out. She lived on the second floor of the apt bldg and those STAIRS....whew. Well, so ya'll have inspired me. I'm just fixing to start throwing stuff away and I really don't think anyone will notice. If it's out of place......it's going in the TRASH!!
Oh I love all the hats!! That's all I wore during chemo I had a ton of them. They weren't as pretty as the one's ya'll are posting though:)
I gotta read back a few pages. Alot has been going on since I last checked in. I'll catch up, I promise!!
My hat is off to all of my fellow dust bunnies:)

Did anyone see the Ky Derby race! It was so neat. Here are all these millionaires with their million dollar horses and guess who wins the Derby........this guy who paid $9,500 for his horse and drove it to the derby in a horse trailer attached to a truck. Apparently it was such a long shot it paid 50-1 (I'm not a gambler and have never bet on anything in case you are wondering) but that is such a huge payout that you could almost see the shock on those fancy faces in the crowd. Bet they make a movie of it. The jockey kissed a rose he had pulled from the blanket and threw it up to the sky in tribute to his parents who had passed away. It was so sweet.
-
Gorgeous hat Coonie!
-
I know that you're all gonna be SHOCKED when I tell you this, but I've spent the majority of today working on my closet -- (I do have a BIG closet. LOL) Anyhow, I've bagged up nonsense that doesn't work any more, for whatever reason, reorganized everything that's left and thrown out plenty of trash along the way.
Tomorrow it's on to the bathroom clutter.
I do this every third year, so it's been a job. Could have qualified for a reality show called LOOK WHAT I DID!!
My hats are all in ultra-organized love. -
Way to go Faith! It does feel good to get rid of the uneccessary stuff and makes it so much easier to clean. I feel like I can finally focus on other things. I'm starting a minature garden. Not sure if I'm gonna just plant in pots or beside the house.
We also splurged and bought a wii and wii fit in hopes dd#2 will get some much needed exercise. So far so good and I'm impressed with the body tracking that lets you know your BMI and exercises that will help you maintain or lose weight.

-
Kathleen, I don't see why not!! I think they're beeeeuuutiful
You may have to get a head clearance approved first:)
-
Mom, that's such a sweet story about the derby! I would have loved to seen their faces!
-
hehe....yeah it was probably something like this
-
Yes, I love the Derby story! And the horse-drawn buggy. And everyone's hats! Faith & Coonie, your activities put the rest of us to shame. I did write a blog post yesterday about cleaning my house. Does that count???
-
I think that keeping a blog up-to-date counts as housework.
After all, it's work that you do in the house.
Ergo, we both get credit!!
-
Faith, I like the way you think. Can I get credit now too?
-
What about me Faith? I did get alittle bit done, garbage out for Monday and laundry done.
And my favorite job the litter box for my cat.
Take care, Debbie
-
Good mornin' beachettes! Hope everyone has a blessed day...
-
Wrong thread arnie! But cute pics anyway. You can tell they all just got to the beach cause the white is still white.....sigh.
LOVED the winning horse story. HAHAAHA to the millionaires! Looks good on them. I hope they didn't go home and shoot their horses?
or their jockey?
More work again for me today, but had a great but tiring day at work yesterday and sold almost $20,000!!
-
Arnie, Thanks for posting on the wrong thread! You saved me the time of going over to the beach!! I think you have a lot of beach friends on this thread.
No time for housework today. I'm going to my BFF's sons First Communion.
Yesterday I moved all the large furniture out of the first floor of my house. We are having new floors put in in a couple weeks and I am prepping for that. My house looks so empty. I vacuumed tons of dust bunnies hiding behind my furniture! I emptied cabinets in the kitchen too. I am replacing my old "peninsula" with a new island. Lots of work!
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Linda
-
Ooooo Linda! I love doing stuff around the house like that! I'd rather redecorate than clean! So much fun and it feels like a new house...lucky you!
-
You mean there's another thread other than this one arnie????
-
Hey Mak - I went to my cousin's son's first holy communion. He looked so handsome in his navy blue suit. And his little sister was good as gold during the services.
