While its still a nice yard- we had to take out a lot of trees, bushes and plantings. Since my dx we have done little yd work- just have gardener to mow, trim trees & bushes that sort of thing but haven't done much w/flowers or anything. Has a lot of potential though, so much I would LOVE to do. Some day, some day.
I like playing in the dirt, messier the better in my book.
Good day for all!

Good morning ladies. OH sent it's weather my way! Dreary, but no rain yet. I know it's coming.
I changed the sheets on the beds and will wash them later. Cleaned the kitchen and am thinking of tackeling the playroom after I grocery shop. I doubt I will, but do I get credit for thinking about it??
-
Only if I get credit for you thinking about doing it....
-
I'll help you think too..........I WANT CREDIT!!
-
-
Okay, the 3 of us is the maximum that can get credit for Mak thinking about housework. The ship has sailed, no more passengers!

Good morning Kathleen!!! How are you? We sure miss you when you're not around:( That laundry room looks nice. Wish I had that floor:)

Hi ladies. Haven't posted much in a few days. DD & I had a touch of the flu. NOT SWINE ~ thank goodness. Here's a little update of my PS appointment yesterday:
I saw my PS yesterday. She did another fill, so I am at 650cc's. I think the left foob is finally looking fuller. No big surprise when I asked PS about scheduling my surgery for the right TE replacement, she told me "Sure just check with Lisa (her secretary)". When I did ask Lisa about putting me on the surgery schedule her response was "I can call you Monday or Wednesday of next week." I said "I am standing here so you can ask me anything you need to know, plus I am a stay at home mom & my schedule is open for anything the doctor has available." Her response "Doctor's schedule is full until mid June." Tears immediately came to my eyes! It sounds so dumb - but I was so badly wanting the TE to be replaced before my DD's 2nd b-day party (5/24). I hate the thought of seeing so many family members & friends when my chest is so deformed looking. I do know it could much worse, but for me this is awful. I also know that reconstruction fails on a lot of women, so I am being patient. But the PS had "promised" me that she would have me done mid-May. Secretary also said that PS is on vacation for the last two weeks of May. Basically I am now having to wait until mid-June for the TE replacement. So much for promises. I left the office in tears.
Got in the car & called DH crying. He was very supportive and said that of course our families know everything so it's not going to be a big shocker when they see me w/ one foob. I just hate the looks people give me. The look like : oh boy what happened to you?
Okay enough of my boo-hooing. I am going to get ready for the day. I have some garage sales to get to! The next town over is having their annual garage sale. DD needs summer clothes - so her & I are going bargain hunting! Plus we have some other errands to do. I just wish the sun was out! Enjoy the day & sorry for being a little bit of a downer!
p.s. No housework planned for today - I am being a rebel.
p.s.s. For those who don't know - I did have the BM w/ immediate reconstruction on 2/11/09. The right TE got infected thus causing two additional surgeries & finally removing the TE on 3/7/09. Just didn't want anyone confused.
-
Well It seems I can't keep up with any of you on housework - let alone all the posts, have had a busy week, with personal stuff and work as well, either feast or phamon with attorneys.
2New1's so sorry about your PS visit, I know it must have been so devastating to hear that. I am not going to sugar coat it, it stinks, you were looking forward to having the procedure complete by 5/24, its so hard sometimes "facing" things and people when our bodies are making us feel a bit insecure (most of us have been there or are there now). Go do some major shopping, spend lots of time and $$$$$ if you must and find that SPECIAL SOMETHING to wear that will make you feel just GRAND!!!!!!! XOXOXOXOXOXXO I am venturing out again this weekend to find a bathing suit, and right now my mind is set on spending ten trillion $$$$$ if I must - LOL
I have managed to get some hosework in this week - so I am still part of the group - laundry, ironed a few things, I think I recall using the Swifer on the floors and I made spaghetti last night.
LOVE TO ALL -- XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
-
Kathleen thanks I'll have a "spot" of tea, and that in the middle that looks like CHOCOLATE.........I'll have that too!!!
So glad you're back!!
2new1's BIG ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))) I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I know it's so hard to be patient when we want something done NOW:) Just hang in there. It'll all be done soon, and you'll finally have some relief. Patience is NOT one of my strong points:)
-
Hey Cathi it's sooooo good to see you back!!! We were wondering about you:) Hope you have a great weekend!!!
-
MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're not playing fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
-
-
First of all Cathi - stop taking photos of me in the morning!
Tnew1s -- I know how you feel - I thought by now I would have two new ones too. Hang in there - its all you can do anyway.
-
2newones Sorry you had such a bad day. That really sucks. Your DH is right! You don't need to do housework today because I THOUGHT about doing it for you! You can jump on the band wagon of girls that are not cleaning today!
Cathi, I hope things are going as well as can be expected for you all.
Welcome back Kathleen!
Deb, you are now 'grandfathered' into the clause of not doing housework today! Sorry for stepping on your toes mom, but fair is fair!
Hope you all are having a WONDERFUL day!
-
Cathi I think this mom with a mastectomy has the right idea! Plus think of all that money you will be saving not spending it on that suit
Maybe if we all did this this summer it would really bring awareness to how many women are going through this.
-
You know what mom, I have seriously wondered if I would get arrested at the beach if I went topless, not that I have the guts to do it, but I just wonder, you know the man/woman that just had the baby that was all over the news, well they would not change the birth certificate to "man" until the boobs were gone - so I have no boobs no nipples, I am far from a man - but gosh there is a part of me that sure wonders if I could do it and not get arrested - that would sure raise awareness, I am a rebel witout guts -LOL
-
OH YEAH DEB--------------------LOL
-
Mom said this is where you will be spending your day - LOL
-
oh yeah? Welll my Dad can beat up your Mom! nah!
-
and Mom said to tell you this!
-
Don't make me send you two to the PINK ROOM!
