Wait a minute, Linda, I don't remember any mention of taking the boys.....
-
I was reading this site that lists almost all the cases and from what I saw they almost all had contracted it from actually being in Mexico in the days before coming down sick.
Just to be on the safe side I have my family use Zicam (its the gel you put in your nose that's suppose to keep cold germs from being able to replicate in your nasal passages) I went to Walmart and bought all that I could. I figure if it keeps cold virus from replicating then maybe it will give some protection against this swine flu virus too. Thats what I'm hoping at least.

Come on down Kathi, just make sure you bring a derby hat!
-

Hugz Foots!!!!!!!!!!!
That nurse wearing the mask was doing it wrong! It wasn't pinched over his nose....idiot! I lived through SARS up here and we had to wear masks in the hospitals and clinics. I had 2 surgeries during that time and by the second one, my husband wasn't even allowed in to visit! There were huge tents set up outside to screen those of us going in and people in Hazmat suits were screening us. Very much like ET.....
-
Thought I'd fix quiche this morning for you ladies. So grab a slice and come on in for a little Saturday chat before we head off for our day.
-
-
Morning Barbe! I didn't know the Sars scare was in Canada too last year. Don't think I heard that on the news at all.
-
This week-end I'm gonna get the courage up to ask the people that I live with....WHY do you always leave the last banana in the basket to turn all black until I get home with another bunch?
It could be a few days or a month....but there's always that poor. loanly black banana sitting there with the last grapefruit.
Why? LOL!
Oh! I've tried for several days to post this but it's always after my 5 post limit is up. That's why I'm making this my FIRST post.
When will I be able to post more than 5 times a day?
XOXO

Wasn't last year. Was about 6-7 years ago. I've had a lot of surgeries! Those ones were for a HUGE sub-sternal goiter that was cutting off my oxygen. They didn't believe how bad it was until I spent 3 days in ICU after the surgery!
-
Lursa didn't know there was a posting limit. Thought that was just for sending messages. Hope it won't be for long so you can visit with us.
-
Mom, newbies are restricted to 5 posts a day, but I don't know for how long....

Morning ladies,
Cathi mentioned about looking for a suit this weekend so I had to share my adventure. I haven't bought a new suit in about 10 years so mine is all stretched out. Got to the mall, started trying on clothes, couldn't find anything. So many of the suits are two pieces now so you can mix & Match. I just want to walk in, find one and leave. I tried on several of the same pattern that I liked and finally found one that fit nicely. Mostly I wanted it to cover the scar on my thigh from the TUG recon.
In the next stall, a young woman was there with her mom and grandmom, so I got really bold, popped out of the door and asked the mom "if she would be my mom too for a minute to see if the suit looked OK". She laughed and said 'sure' and confirmed the suit looked very nice. Done.
Took the suit to checkout, paid and went home to finish packing for the trip to FL the next day. 9:00 pm rolls around and I call DH up to model the suit. I put it on, walk around a little, he whistles, I lift the edge and..............realize I have underwear on, not a suit bottom. Not good. The suit I had on just prior at the store when I was trying stuff on had the bottom attached, the one I bought did not. It's too late to go back to the store. I swear that if I would have had a pair of black panties I would have just worn them but I didn't. So first thing in the AM, back to the store. Only I'm an hour early before they open. Run a few other errands on the list, come back when they ARE open, find my size, chew out the saleslady for letting my buy half a swimsuit. get home, pack and then never wear it on the trip to FL. I'm so bummed. It wasn't even on sale!!!!!!!
Cathi, I hope you have MUCH better luck with your swimsuit search. Have a great day everyone. The sun is shining here and the cardinal is singing outside the window. I should be able to accomplish at least something today. Already folded a load of laundry with 5-6 to wash and dry. I think I'll try to get the suitcases finally unpacked and put away too. At least I've thought about housework and I think I remember that you get credit for that, right?
Blessings,
Wendy

Funny story Sunkistmi ! Moral of story.... make sure you have bottoms, lol
I'll take one of those km...
Weather's nice...gonna take advantage of it :-)

Mom- I think thats the key in housecleaning- PURGE the junk. I am amazed at how much crap I have (dh actually) around the house. I have been trying to purge but think I need to be more assertive. You have given me the umph to just start tossing!!! Less stuff, less cleaning and that works for me. What the heck am I holding on to? If dh gets mad... he'll get over it. Been married too long to try and break in another spouse
Happy day to all

Good morning all,
Have already made breakfast for the kids. Cold cereal but I did it. Cleaned the kitchen , load of laundry and filled the pool to warm so the girls can splash later. I think I'm done.
Have you ever had something you wanted to get done but knew you shouldn't do it but it just eats at you? Drives me nuts! Have left hints for my son and husband but no luck. Finally put a wish list on the frig.Includes get dishwasher fixed and repair and paint girls room. Been there for months. This morning I look at it and added at the bottom my son has added BRAND NEW CAR FOR DANIEL!
-
Just got home from Soccer. I'm too tired to clean. Funny story about the bathing suit. At least you have one now and won't need to buy one for another 10 years.
Please pass the quiche. It looks delicious!

Happy Derby Day, ladies!! Here's my most fru-fru hat, from a Titanic costume I put together a while back. Have a great day! Mom and I will be sipping champagne and eating strawberries today near the winners' circle!!
-
My friend Sam (her nickname) would love your hat! I hate to wear hats, I feel like such a dork when I have one on. Sam has quite a collection, though. We are in drama club together, and she does Minnie Pearl skits, has a different hat for each one!
-
Hey, Cheyanne. The secret of wearing hats, actually, is to believe in your heart that you DON'T look like a dork but that you look fabulous, and not care if someone does think you look like a dork!!
Here's another hat I have worn to afternoon tea!
