Hi all, I will only have 1 yr with both in university, I think. I don't think ds is thinking about grad school but thats a whole yr away!
Faith- enjoy time w/dh. Has he been away for a long time? I agree with the ladies- spend more time getting dolled up than the house cleaning!
-
I know today there are a couple of birthdays! Happy Birthdays to everyone!!!
2new1s ... you are so young! You have a beautiful family.
This bootface has no scruples, I know, but it just breaks my heart when I see you ladies with your families so young, home with you. I want ot hollar, sream, throw things, just not right!!!
Had my last taxol treatment today, woo hoo, now for two weeks of arrrrggggghhhhhhhh!!! Then I start my 4 txs of AC. Doc was happy with the healing of MrsA, gave another script of antibiotics. Just feel like a limp noodle, taking it easy. My taxol takes from about 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ...
Son is staying with me for a bit. Yes, he's one of those sons who help with the housework ... remember him? While i was at tx today, I came home to find my house cleaned.
hugs all,
cheryl

Hi everyone-thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes-the one good thing from my diagnosis was meeting so many great friends on these boards. No housework today-I said so!!!!! I am trying to post pics but I don't know if it is going to work. I don't even know if I am doing it right, but I will try. Mom2two, you mentioned in an earlier post Donny Osmond. My goodness, he was my honey growing up. I can't tell you how many times I saw him and his purple socks in concert. Now, I switched over to Jon Bon Jovi. My heart belongs to him-love him!!!-LOL Don't forget Dancing with the Stars tonight. Well gals, it is off to get ready to go to dinner with my family. Hope they don't drive me nuts. Thanks again for all the super wishes!
-
No, the picture thing is not working-someone needs to teach me how.
-
welcome Lursa - sounds like you were exactly what your friend needed in her time of need. You are newly dx'd, do you have a support system? We are here to help!
Welcome!!
congrats Nana, hope you feel well!
Happy Birthday CarolMarie.
Hello to everyone else. Gotta run, pool people are here now, only 4.5 hours late!
-
Nana so glad you're done with Taxol. I had AC first, then Taxol. Hope you feel ok. Sounds like you've got a great son:)
Linda nothing like waiting for somebody to show up...........4.5 hours LATE!!! uugghhhh You didn't have nothing to do anyhow, did ya?
CarolMarie hope your evening is WONDERMOUS!! Enjoy the time with your family:)
-
Faith- yes, don't worry about the house! Greet him at the door with nothing but a smile and he won't give a flip about the house!!
Welcome Lursa!
CarolMarie- Happy birthday!! I messed up and cleaned the bathroom on your birthday. I forgot the rules. As a penance, I won't do anything else the rest of the week. Okay?
Coonie- Lovely family!
Linda- I waited several days on the pool guy last week. After he came, I mentioned that I had just had surgery and would leave the pool gate open for him. When he came up for me to pay him, he asked me how I was doing so I told him I had BC. Nice young man. His eyes watered up and he told me his mom was being treated for it a second time. I forgave him for making me wait. Nice kid who obviously loved his momma.
Nana- your stats are very much like mine. What is your chemo regimen if you don't mind my asking? Just curious and I know mine won't necessarily be the same.
Thanks for all the kind comments.

Coonie and Texasrose - Believe it or not, the pool guys are still here! It's 8:10 p.m. Well, at least it's entertainment for the kids. Nice story about the pool guys Mom, he definitley loves his momma!
Mom I hope you are feeling better soon! I hate migraines!
Back outside now.......
-
Feels kind of like this... STINKS!
Makraz... Can we drop in for a swim???
-
Pretty much how I feel sometimes with these arnie. Thankfully as the change takes hold they are now bearable. Took me years to realize they were associated with hormones and my monthly cycles.
Thanks for the happy dance too. Just have to smile when I see those.
-
Mom- I used to get migraines for years. Then 2 years ago I stopped taking birth control pills and guess what??? No more migraines! Breast cancer, but no migraines! I wish I never took those pills!!
Arnie - come over any time for a swim. You mut like boys, waves and lot's of splashing!
-
Hey mom,
Sorry about the migraines. Has your dr ever suggested taking verapimal? It's usually used for high blood pressure in higher doses but since I started taking a low dose every day, I have not had a migraine. The only time I did have one was when I was NPO for almost a month due to my intestines stopping after one of my surgeries many years ago. Mine were cycle induced also and the pill was like a miracle! Since I have gone thru menopause, I probably could stop them but I have been afraid that if I am producing even a little estrogen, the migraines will still come. It might be worth checking with your dr. It's also called Calan SR. I'm sure that is the brand name and the verapimal is the generic. Good luck.

Mom, I had migraines when younger each month when momma nature made her visit. I so feel for you. lights out, a big soft pillow and cuddly comfort for you, huggs
(Tried to put a nice pillow here, said "mom on break" embroidered so pretty on it and it just would not work ... and I did it before. I went to use one from photobucket, not mine from there, but theirs, first time I tried one of theirs. ack!)
I love pics.
Mary aka TexasRose. Yeppers, we are both trip negatives! My treatment, since I had a mastectomy/expander put in for recon, is 4 cycles of Taxol 3 weeks apart and then the AC for 4 cycles 3 weeks apart. I am having heavy doses of the chemo. The onc nurse said the taxol was triple of what he gives his other patients. I don't know how the AC will be yet. Since my lymph nodes were all negative, I will not have to have radiation. After the chemo is done, I will have blood work every three months and a cat/pet scan every 6 months. for always. just to be sure. Let me know if this is how yours will be or is.
Well, I forgot to take my 2nd does of my anti nausea meds. dang nab it and my dinner made a u turn. so...have to get use to my son being here and keeping on schedule. LOL, he said "you blaming me?" laughing. No, I said, just have to get use to you being here and multitasking.
that's my TBI playing games with me.
Okay, haven't posted a pic of my art work in a while, just so you know i can post a pic, LOL, here ya go:
I like to do these drawings. (Done in Berol Prisma Colors - a color pencil that has some oil resin in them. and Pastels for the larger, softer areas) They are called Precious Memories and display a child, adults favorites from their childhood. Both of my granddaughters have one hanging in their bedrooms. I visit garage sales to get as many toys as possible to do these from. When I had my work in teh gallery, I got several orders for these ... each was different as each had their childs favorite items in it.
still working on getting started on a new painting, ugh, engery.

Sharon51 ~ Thank you ~ I owe all of my looks to my DM & DD!
faithandfifty ~ I agree, forget the house crap, get yourself all primped up & smelling sexy! DO you have time to get a Brazilian?
Lursa ~ Welcome to our silly thread!
Coonie ~ Your family portrait is awesome! LOL
Nanaoften ~ Thank you for the compliment, I am 37! Not too old, not too young ~ just right! : ) Love your drawing! So detailed & beautiful.
Caligrlof68 ~ WOW ~ 2am ~ must have been some good "conversation"! You go girl - we love it that you are experiencing some happiness - you deserve it all.
Makraz - Oh I hate waiting for people to show up for appointments. We had a fence installed three weeks ago and they just came this past Friday to FINISH the job!
-
Cheryl you are AMAZING! I thought it was a photograph! You go girlfriend. What a wonderful gift to share.
New1s, for some reason I thought you were blond (not in a negative way at all, or anything) but you are a gorgeous brunette! Love the family shot, thanks for sharing.
-
barbe1958 ~ My mom is actually blond & green eyes! I take after my dad, dark hair, dark eyes. I used to do the blond high-lites for years. I recently gave up and have switched to a mahogany/amethyst color - I love it! But I do have my "blond" moments and lots of them. When I had my "fake" blond hair the joke was "Okay, think with your roots!" LOL. Thanks for saying I'm gorgeous, I sure don't feel it! Maybe by the end of the year w/ my final implants in - I will feel myself again. Not that my boobs made me who I was, but right now w/ the one foob I just feel so awkward.
Anywhoo...you are off to your daughters dream wedding in what like four weeks? I am excited for you, a wedding & a vacation all in one! Just remember if you need reinforcements, send us plane tickets and we will be there to put that dingbat "trophy" wife's head in the sand!
-
Good Morning!
