Morning all,
Hugs and kisses coming your way
Viv
-
A quick Howdy do and smiles for all. I cannot possibly catch up on all the posts I missed. Today I had my port removed and it does hurt. There is definitely NO housework on my schedule. Time for some food since I conked out in the recliner most of the afternoon. Have a good evening and restfull sleep. Hugs, Nancy
-
Viv, I can almost smell that tongue, it's so huge! LOL!!
-
I talked to my dad today. We are going on a medical mission trip to the Philippines in January! I think my SIL will be going, too. They are doctors and I am a nurse. I'm so psyched!!!
Today I did nothing around the house. I was so tired from working 12 hr days Sat and Sun. Most of the day was in bed sleeping. I tried to exercise this evening and it was very difficult. I guess my body is still weak 3 months our of chemo.
hugs to all dusty buns!
-
I'm home! We had a wonderful time and a very relaxing weekend. Nothing like watching the sunset over the water and feeling the sand in my toes. Hope everybody is doing well. Tomorrow I start Taxol. Almost had to postpone it as my hemoglobin is low, but onc said he would go ahead and do the treatment. It's only slightly low. I'm just glad I don't have to postpone! They want me to come in early so they can do more labs, but probably just need an iron supplement.
Hugs to all!
-
Mary! Welcome back, but I have a bone to pick with you! I am addicted to Farkle! I've gotten 12,500 points!!!! I keep thinking the next roll is going to do it....sigh. Saw your link on FB and have been playing ever since! Was hard to get used to the scoring at first, as I like Yahtzee.
-
Hey dusty bunnies.....
No kidding, I just turned on the computer for the first time today, because, drum roll, tension,
I spent the entire afternoon CLEANING.
I kid you not.
We had friends come to dinner & it was time. Good thing the place is so small. LOL.
Sending prayers to Deb.
Hugs to Arnie and Mary and Nancy......
And everyone going thru treatment, recupperating or going thru side effects.
Coonie -- where are you?? Busy at work??
Hugs all.

Cheryl, Sounds like a great time. You are amazing!
Welcome home Mary!
Barb, I USED TO be addicted to Text twist, I love word games. Now I am addicted to BCO and FB.Good night!
-
Ooooo Linda, try Word Slinger. That's a doozie! I love word games too. Upwords is another good one.
Deb, all my prayers haven't brought you back to this thread....am I going to have to ask "the other guy" to intervene? Or are you already with him in Hell? Hope to hear from you soon sweetie!
Faith, it's about time you did some cleaning. I guess you're on an island and all that bike riding just took you in a circle and you couldn't escape, eh? hehehehehehehehe
My house is getting appraised today for a line of credit so we can do the bloody kitchen! That is on my bucket list and I'm starting to freak out.....
-
Barbe, are you freaking out because you will be without a working kitchen for the duration, or because you will be fulfilling one of the items on your bucket list?
We've done total tearouts of the kitchen in two different houses now. The first time, we set up an alternate kitchen in the living room, and the last time, we did the kitchen in two stages, so there was always a section that was working at dinnertime, especially since the microwave moved from one end of the kitchen to the other.
As for that bucket list, it sounds like it's time to add more things to it!
-
I'm freaking because my bucket list is getting shorter! What happens when it runs out????? I only have grandchildren left on it.....
-
I'm here Barbe...just been a lurking....I've kept up with the reading in other words...feeling somewhat better although still very very tired, don't know if that has to do with the rads, or the pnuemonia or a combination..wonderful huh!
Love and hugs
-
Oh Deb!!! I've been anxious to see you sweetie!
{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Gentle hugs, and Strong love! }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
-
Deb, Good to see you!
Barb, You need to add more to the bucket list. Maybe add somethings you'd like to do with your grandchildren. Or, meeting some of your BCO friends! Or, watching thunderstorms from a garage! -
DEb good to see you! Hope you are feeling better
Barbe...Just add more to your bucket list...Like visiting ME in Atlanta!.......We could go to Stone Mountain or to Helen or just sit around shooting the bull!........
My bucket list is extremely short because I can't think of much I would really like to do.......I have already visited a foreign country (Mexico), moved to Georgia 23 years ago, rode in an airplane, learned to ice skate, had a family of my own, and met and married the man of my dreams (even though sometimes he seems more like a nightmare than a dream I still love him like there is no tomorrow...His depression makes it hard for him and that is where the nightmare comes in).......I met a couple of people from here, AND I still want to go to Canada........SO, ya, m list is getting pretty short too.......Guess I need to look for other things to do too.......
The one big major thing left on my list is remodeling the outside of my house.....We have almost all the siding done, .....We are doing this ourselves and have been for over 3 years now.......We got interrupted by bootface.........The other things are new flooring, new paint job inside the house, and new draperies as mine are like 20 years old....... And of course the obligatory grandchildren!......But that is a few years away as my dd is only 17 (will be 18 in Sept).....
Well I have been busy this morning......I cleaned my kitchen, put away a load of towels, cleaned my bathroom mirrors, and cleaned all my cabinet fronts.........Now I am going to go and pick up 30 things in my bedroom and hope I get enough done to feel as if I have accomplished something.....LOL......Happy housework ladies!.............
-
yea Barbe- you MUST have watching thunderstorm from a garage on that list of yours!!! .....maybe from one OUR garages...there that makes the to do a bit more challenging.
-
Barbe~ When you start getting low on your bucket list you reevaluate, Thank God you got so much done and add some more and pray for many more days
Just my take on it but that's my plan.
I must get some housework done today 2 little kids 4 & 6 make a hell of a mess in my house.
-
Hey bunnies!!
Deb. So glad to 'see' you. I know that you'll be getting back on the horse, but for now, just allow yourself to heal on it's own time. Ya know, go with the flow..... don't fight what is. All the very best bumper stickers to you, dearie.
I'm just this minute back from my first ever, real-live yoga class. I think I'm probably 'high.'
It was flat out awesome. The instructor is 62 years old and just literally solid muscle. Seeing her go thru the poses was worth the price of admission. I'm sooooooooooooooooo inspired.
For a first time, green-newbie, I was able to complete the whole class & there were moments where I was on the right track. I'm THRILLED!!!!
Now to figure out how to work some 'discipline' into my week. (yeah, right)
Hugs to each and every one of you.
Barbe.... let us know how the assessment unfolds. Have my fingers crossed that it will give you the desired results.

Elaine, you are so right! I will come over and watch a lightning storm from YOUR garage!
Well, I had to be at the hospital at 7:30 am for pre-op. Then I returned some wall-paper books at the decor store, got hair colour at WalMart, came home and cleaned the front of the appliances in the ktichen and the wall (go figure!), some smears on the diningroom floor and the home inspector just came and is going around with DH (who vacuumed!).
Then the line-of-credit guy is coming for us to sign papers, then nap! Then the kitchen guys is coming at 5 to do a measure, then we are going to pick up my new used car! So busy today!! Whew, I'll need to go to work tomorrow to get a rest!
-
Hollyann: If you come to Canada visit me -= Im in Toronto, then head West and visit the BC girls.
-
If Barbe is watching thunderstorms from your garage, can she bring me too, or maybe we can visit HER. She is closer to me.... I can scooter up to Barrie in 3 -4 days.
-
Oh Barbe and Dream....please come!!!I will get the chairs ready
Actually Toronto is only 7-8 hours for me....
-
You could be here in time for dinner! Pick up Dream on your way up....
-
Can I come too?
-
OK...I can do a road trip, just need to update my passport. Barbe- you tell me when is a good time. My ds and dd are both in university in the fall so I have some free time. Where is Barrie (besides the obvious answer...in Canada
)

Ladies,
Just a wee little note, well wee by my standards!!
My news... judge ..did it again, messed up her clarification of her judgement, twice. So the special needs statement is still unworkable, do to her blatant carelessness. So have been stressed, which I do try to avoid. I now have to prepare papers for a second tier tribunal BEFORE SAT in case the judge does not want to further clarify, and by these means, make the statement safe, in at least the most crutial part...give me strenght. Got my ds with me, but cleaned decluttered and cleaned some more over the last few days in addition the the rest, got to say, housework is a good stress buster, but the judge! Deary me! We are off on Saturday for 2 weeks, back on the 8th, just before the deadline for second tier.
My friend starts chemo, neo adjuvant, next week.
Hope you are all having a peachy day, that Deb's pneumonia, is letting up. That EWB's bone pain is starting to B-HAVE, and Arnie's steroids are not keeping her from getting some sleep.
HUgggggggggmy to ALL my dear daaaaaling friends.

Dream, I would love to come see you inToronto!.....Barbe, why pre-op?....Are you having surgery again and I missed it?.....Please PM me your addy so I can send you cards........Faith, congratulations on your first ever yoga class!....I am so stiff in the knees I could never get on the floor much less do the stretchy stuff.......SHiny, good luck with yet another tribunal......Hugs to you dear and I hope that judge gets his act together!.........I don't know if it is the weather or what but I feel better today than I have in 2 weeks!.....Thank you Sweet Jesus!.......
Love, hugs and prayers to you all........

I am back from taking me to the eye doc and dd5 to the doc to get a wart frozen off. Then I hit Walmart to get somne pool supplies and now I am sitting out by the pool (in the shade) watching ther kids swim. It is hot here today (about 94) and I am sweating. I did get a load of laundry run and all my clena clothes upt o my room. i need to fold them and put them away, but at least I will have clean clothes.

We have a yoga studio with an instructor who has trained to teach yoga to women who have received a cancer diagnosis. I was finally able to make it to one of her classes, and I felt great the next day, not vaguely sore like you often do when you move in new ways. All of the movements were slow and gentle, and we were encouraged to make adjustments if we needed to. The special cancer warrior classes are only about once a month, and probably won't start again now until September, but I am looking forward to the next one.
Barbe, when is Mick's eviction date?
-
Hello Bunnies
Shiny that is unbelievable that the judge messed up again. Good luck with the second tier. Have a wonderful holiday. Hugs to your friend, hope all goes well with her chemo.
Arnie hope your chemo goes well too and with minimal side effects.
Deb so sorry to hear you had pneumonia, hope you are feeling better now.
Barbe glad you will soon be saying goodbye to Mick.
PatMom that cancer warrior yoga class sounds ideal. I love yoga and would like to start attending a class again at some point. For now I just practise on my own.
We had a relaxing few days away in Wales and I have been busy catching up on laundry, cleaning etc in case I don't do anything for a while after my second chemo tomorrow. Today I went for the blood work.
Now I really need to get to bed. Nite nite all. Hugs to everyone. xoxo
