Morning ladies. Raining here in NY too. The good thing is that my two youngest guys are still sleeping (18 1nd 14)-not so young, but time consuming nonethless. Hubby is at work, so it is nice to have a few quiet hours to myself. My eldest son is vacationing with his friends for a week for his 21 birthday (Yikes!!) Feel lazy and tired, but I must get moving. Orthodontist appt for my son at 12, so maybe I won't get moving until then. It sounds better to get my cup of coffee and watch TV in bed. I'm really not used to this-I'm a teacher and always running back and forth, but I guess we all need the downtime. I still have one drain in, so a bit uncomfortabe anyways. That will be my excuse! Happy day to alll-good luck Barbe with your surgery tomorrow. Carol
-
Good luck tomorrow Barbe. May it be an uneventful removal. Sending prayers it all goes well and recovery is quick.
Carol, relax while you can and likely you still need to!
I cleaned the bird cage today
and I mean REALLY cleaned it. Took it outside and washer 'er down..........the birds were horrified. That's it for me except maybe I'll get out of my nightie later.
Gentle hugs all.
-
Morning, Bunnies-of-the-dust.
Headed out to quilt guild for the morning. Barbe I'll have you in my pocket for inspiration. Must go pack up my sewing machine and all of the incidentals.
Just wanted to wish everyone well.
Carol, my goodness dear, take it easy!!
Shiny, thinking of you. Bouncing all of those good vibes back at ya.
Vivvy, how ya doin'??
Big hugs all around. Mom, what have you been up to lately.
Arnie, glad to hear that you've cleared another hurdle.
Nancy, did you get to go play bridge??
Deb, I'm always sending you boat-loads of healing goodness. Hope you see the hope ahead.
Mary, have you posted any pics yet of your get-away?? Maybe on FB??
Jayne has some lovely pics of her romp in Wales over on FB: love it love it love it.
Here I go again, making a very partial list...... all the rest of you: BIG BIG hugs, too!!
-
Hi ladies I am upset because my daughter said we must clean the house today. I need motivation besides finding my cat.
-
Morning all.
Arnie- I'm glad you got some sleep. How many more do you have?
Barbe- Thinking of ya! So long Mick! Get some rest today!
Faith- No pics posted yet. My desktop is still at the shop and that is where all my photo stuff is. I'm living on my laptop and there isn't much on it. I promise I will post pics as soon as I get my computer back. I didn't take many though. I avoid the camera these days with my bald head.
I have to do some more cleaning today. Feeling pretty good on day 3 after Taxol #1.
Hope everybody has a great day!
-
Mary how are you doing with your treatments? Don't forget to use the biotene mouthwash regularly. It is expensive but for me it really helped with the mouth issues.
-
Mornin bunnies......hope you all are having a wondermous day.
Sending hugs and prayers for those in treatment. Has anybody seen Lursa lately? I haven't seen her post or maybe I just missed her.
Hugs Arnie, MaryRose, Deb, Shiny, Jayne, Barbe.....

Where is our MOM?????? I hope you're ok Mom......we miss you!!
-
Hey there gals. I need to do some housework today too, but it has to be on the sly. We have family coming next week and there is some stuff to get done (becasue I am a packrat and a cluttered messy person) and laundry needs to be done (always). However my leg is bothering me (joint pain) and my dh is working outside at home this morning and he told me to rest it. So the kids need to get their tushies in gear and get stuff done today.
-
I did play bridge yesterday. Today I have spent in the recliner with my Knifty Knitter and tv going. Almost 2 pm, and I am going to get a shower and see if my hairdresser will trim the back and sides of this very curly mop. No housework has been done except couple of dishes put in dish washer.
Hugs and prayers, Nancy
-
Good luck tomorrow barbe!.......Kick Mick to the curb!..........
Coonie I haven't seen Lursa in a long time.....LURSA WHERE ARE YOU???>...Come out come out wherever you are!......
To all my fellow housework slackers.....I actually got some stuff done today.....I cleaned the kitchen again, did two loads of laundry and changed the sheets on my bed......Also went to the mall and to Walmart........Now it is nap time!....LOL Oh and I also got a few rows of crochet done on my doily.......
Have a great afternoon ladies......Be back later......
-
Barbe, will be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope it is a good as it can, and no doubt you'll feel better knowing it's been done. Seeeee yaaaa Mick!
Thanks all re support. hugggss. I phoned the Tribunal people and made sure they got my correspondance. They confirmed passing it all to the judge "now plray ladies that the judge can eat humble pie and accept that she did royally mess up again and that she amends her directions/ruling..again." ohh and lets hope she gets it right this time. I am now focussing on packing cleaning and making sure the kids have a good time, exausting but essential. I want my kids to enjoy themselves in their 6 weeks off school; went to park and the woods with friends, lovely. No internet at the inlaws summer house in France, so vibes only communiques from me for a while.
Glad your off streroids Arnie. x, Hope you are ok mom2, Sharon Hug to you,...oh brain is toast, well body too, so EWB, Hollyann, coonie, makraz, KAK,etc etc etc.... too many names, boy we are a big bunch aren't we! What a reunion we'd have if we could all get to 1 place!

Hi dust bunnies
Barbe hope all goes well for you tomorrow, will be thinking about you and Mick.
Arnie glad you were able to get some decent sleep and that you are off the steroids for now..
Carol great news on your results! Enjoy your downtime, with a drain still in you need to take things easy.
Bkc congrats on the Toodles, bet they'll be adorable.
Shiny have a wonderful time in France.
Has anyone heard from Kathleen recently? Will she be out of hospital soon?
Dh and I had a relaxing few days away in North Wales last weekend. By coincidence there was a woman staying in the same place as us who is an 18 month bc survivor, so it was interesting to talk to her. When we got back I caught up on laundry, cleaning etc. Then I had my second round of chemo on Wednesday. No housework today, I went for a walk this morning and had a nap this afternoon.
Hugs Coonie, Mary, Linda, Mom, Faith, Nancy, Lovin, Mumayan, Sharon, Jaimieh, Lucy, Elaine, Viv, Jane, KAK. I am sure to have missed people off, sorry, blame chemo brain. Hugs to all you wonderful dust bunnies. xoxo

Good afternoon ladies....hoping everyone is doing well today. This morning I went to my sewing group and brought Mom along. It seemed like a good idea since we will be doing a quilt/handsewing workshop in a few weeks. It is at the Wellness Community which is a support place for anyone dealing w/cancer, family, caregivers etc. Totally forgot they were having a luncheon with volunteers, participants (anyone dealing w/cancer, family, caregivers etc) and the staff so we had a lovely tea, tea sandwiches and desserts and did no sewing. Did get all the material they had stashed away from when someone donated it to them. We will make up kits of pre cut projects.
Then went to see my hair god, decided I was tired of the gray, I admit I am vain and want to look nice and put together...so the hair was colored and I love it! Really don't mind the gray, but my hair was looking old, tired and worn out. Needed to be brightened up or something, its great because the color does not totally cover everything so that becomes the highlights
Think I spent sooo many years NOT caring for me, putting everyone before me in true Mom style. I want to make up for lost time, at least get caught up.
So thats all for me, boy was that all off topic
. Coonie, Mary, Linda, Mom, Faith, Nancy, Lovin, Mumayan, Sharon, Jaimieh, Lucy, Viv, Jane, KAK, Shiny, Arnie, Barbe and if I forgot someone I am so very sorry, but know I am thinking of you all.
-
Shiny!!!!!! I hope that judge eats so much humble pie that she outgrows her robe
LOL
Definitely sending many prayers and good vibes your way for this to be resolved....and sooner rather than later!!! You've been through ENOUGH already! Geesshhh
Jayne....it's so good to see you. You seem to be handling the chemo ok. Are you feeling pretty good so far?
EWB...it sounds like you and your mom had a great day! Just a little change in hairstyle makes you feel so much better doesn't it. I'm so glad your mom was able to go with you. I know she was too!!
I wonder if Mom is having another migraine. Has anyone heard from her!! We're worried about you Mom. Hope you're feeling ok!!!
((((((((((((((Arnie))))))))))) Hope you're just resting today. How's Mr. Arnie and AJ (Arnie Jr.)? Hope the whole clan is feeling fine.
Barbe has her baby tomorrow and we didn't even give her a shower!! shame shame shame on us!
-
Hi Coonie I am doing OK with the chemo thanks. So far my side effects have been very minimal, long may it continue
I might even question whether it was working properly apart from the fact that the hair on my head has come out. My chemo nurse said that is proof that it is definitely working. Now if only the hair on my legs would go too.
-
Hey Jayne.....it's working! If your hair came out.....that's all the proof you need. As far as the hair on your legs....just give it time. Eventually, you'll probably loose every hair on your body!! Probably eyelashes and eyebrows. However, my lashes and brows came out AFTER I had finished chemo. Go figure! Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you're doing good. Keep it up....whatever you're doing..((((((((((big hugs to you)))))))))
-
Sheesh, me too Coonie, brows and lashes vamoosed about 5 weeks post chemo. It was kind of the icing on the cake
I can't remember what the legs did..........or the chin
Jayne, glad it's so far, so good. Gentle hugs.
-
Hey Barbe......I think I see your medical team working on another patient. Guess they're just practicing before tomorrow. Good luck! Hope Mick is happy to be "out". I know you will be!!
-
Hope thats not her surgical team.
-

Hey ladies, Been a crazy day. Felicity woke up with pink eye so had to take her to work with me in the am then DH kept her for a few hours in the afternoon. Boy what a hand full.
Today is my baby boys 19th B-Day. Made him a nice dinner and cake and was waiting for him to call to pick up from work long story short he had to work late and will not be in until about 11pm. So will keep him a plate warming. So much for the big surprise.
