Oh Nancy you have made my day!
Don't know why this reminded me but my Dad used to sit us on his lap and tell us all kinds of crazy stories when we were little. One of those stories was that his belly button was a scar from where he had been attacked by wild Indians and shot in the belly. Even showed us the scar where the arrow came out the side. I had almost forgotten about those stories but remember now how we were in awe of him and thought he was a huge hero. I don't ever remember questioning why we had them to.
Have a wonderful day everyone and Hugs for you girls dealing with yuk today.
-
Good morning Coonie the girls are good fussing and fighting all the time. Getting big and getting ready for school. I will have to post picts of them soon. As for Cameo she is gonna be a Mama herself. Was shocked to find this out because she was supposed to be fixed!!!! Will go into that when I have more time but she is a very grumpy lady these days.
-
makraz, it means sit there and do NOTHING at all. Thanks bkc, a cute story about the scar.
I asked the nurse and the doctor if I could have my port when it was removed. But someone threw it in the toxic waste bin. I will have the scar, none the less. Another battle scar. Maybe I can use the attacked by wild Indians story... LOL.
Coonie, when I feel good, I am on the go and also allergic to cats. It would not be fair to have a pet and leave it alone when I am out and about and have to worry about getting back to feed and walk it. I sometimes take my "invisible" dog for walks around the neighborhood.
Any of you with young children and an invisible friend? My son, who was an only child, had to have some M & M's for his invisible friend when he was young. Clever child - he knew he needed a "treat" and his way of getting one...
Coffee is done and time for a shower. Have a super duper day and lots of good things, no pain, sunshine and HUGS, Nancy
-
Awwwhhh
BKC
When are the pups due.......or do you know?
I'd love to see a pic of the girls! I bet they are growing up quick!
-
Totally understand Nancy. I have two pups, and all I do is worry. Of course, I love 'em like they're my kids, but I do worry about them all the time. They're getting old (13 and 14). But it makes it hard when we want to travel or something. Always thinking about Lucky and Opie. THEY RULE THE HOUSE..........LOL
Invisible dogs are probably easier to walk anyway.......hehe
-
Hey all you dustbunnies! GM I had 2nd tx yesterday.... was up til' about 3 a.m couldn't sleep so just getting on to say hello... and then I'm heading back to bed. 2 more and then I'm done with this stinking chemo!!!! YEAH!!! zzzzzzzzzzz

Nancy, I am VERY good at contemplating my navel. I could probably contemplate yours too!
bkc, love the story about your Dad. Sounds like mine!
Arnie, you must be exhausted! Get some rest my friend. Be in touch when you feel better. We do miss you! I think about you and the Mr. (and the Jr) everyday!
-
Jane, believe it or not, go to Home Depot for curtains! Or WalMart. I am a decortor with little $$$ so I get the biggest bang for my bucks at these two stores. You don't have to pay a lot for it to look good. I advise people to pay more for what you touch (sofa fabric) and less for what you don't touch (curtains).
Mary, glad to hear the treatment wasn't too bad, but how are you today? Farkle in "real life"!!! Where do I find that!?
CaroleMarie, I think the problem is that as women, we are used to staying calm and strong during a crisis and then we collapse when it's all over. Unfortunately, it's never over with this kind of a crisis (cancer), so we never know when to 'let go' and just grieve.
For those who missed it, Mick Jagger (my kidney stone) is getting yanked out on Friday. Once he reached a certain size I had to name him. I'll be giving birth on Friday. I had my pre-op yesterday and there was a concern about my ekg. I TOLD them I had chest pains! Sheesh....
And my navel has been very well contemplated over the years!
-
Sending everyone hugs.
Shiny..... keep on making progress. Fight for the outcome that you deserve.
Vivvy...... sending you hugs this afternoon that you'll have to use tomorrow. Not exactly sure how that works, but I have plenty.
Nancy..... glad that you've been deported. Take care of yourself.
Deb........ can't wait till you're back to not doing much with us. Be kind to yourself, you deserve it.
Barbe..... saying prayers for your process thru the week's end procedure. xx00xx00xx
Mary, Jayne, Jane, Arnie: hugs to each and every one of you for the process.
I hesitate to start making lists like this -- cuz I know that's leaving so many out.
All of the rest of you that are on the 'strong-side-of-the-equation'....... ya know I'm happy for you.
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Yay Arnie!!!! Way to go. Gentle hugs to one and all. Ya Faith, I'm no darned good at the list thingy AT ALL!!! So for my punishment I will go and sweep the floor.
Did I say sweep the floor? I meant sleep on the couch. I'm so confused.
-
Good afternoon dust bunnies!......I did practically NOTHING today...Went to Joann ETC's fabric and craft store to get thread for a crochet project and ended up spending almost $30!~......I am making a doily with doves circling around it...........If anyone want it I have an extra copy of the pattern book it comes from.......Just say so here and then Pm me......
Arnie...Glad to hear you are almost done!......Doesn't it feel great to be almost done?....It will feel even better when you are totally done though!>.......WHere's Arnie Jr?...........
Just saying hello to EVERYONE....too many to name.....
Barbe good luck Friday...PM me your addy so I can send a get well card.......MICK MUST DIE!!!!......bwah ahahahahahah!!!!!.......
Bkc oh my!...i think I would be P-O'd right about now finding that my dog was NOT fixed!......What a hassle with new puppies!...But htey do have that awesome Awwwhhhhh factor!...LOL
Sharon, When did you take that pic of me onthe couch?.....That has been me most of the day except for the trip to the craft store......I have felt queasy all day and can'r figure out why......I hope it wasn't the cottage cheese going bad....That would be a shame........Could be my meds too ...If I take some on an empty stomach then I get queasy...Oh welll...Enough groaning and moaning!.........
Be back later ladies..........
-
Ok what is Farkle???......
-
Barbe~ Good luck getting rid of Mick
I hope you birth goes very smoothly.
I have done nothing in the form of housework today and I really need to get something done. I did take my babies to the movies, and then went to an Onc. appt. That counts for something right ?? I got to get some motivation going.......

Hi all.
Day 2 of Taxol is going very well. I feel great so far. I know it's probably not going to last, but I am enjoying feeling like a human again. I must admit that I used the day and my energy to clean. I know...I know. But I haven't done much in so long and my house really needed some attention. I don't know how long this good feeling will last. I had to go with it.
Farkle is a dice game. I have seen it in gift stores, but I would guess Walmart sells it also. All you need is six dice and you can look up the rules on the internet. Or I can post them here if you can't find them. It's a very easy and very addicting game. I must have gotten Barbe hooked on the Facebook one, but it's different than the way we play in real life. I have a Farkle app on my iPhone also. Yeah, I'm a little addicted too!!
Gotta get back to fixing my dinner. My husband is so thrilled. I have actually cooked twice this week. There has been precious little of that going on around here lately. LOL
Hugs to all!

Hiya Ladies,
Thanks, Jane, Connie, Faith and co! For cheering me on as I try to get a final safe "correct" ratified statement for ds's SEN. It's nearly midnight, but have just sent off for a further clarification to the judge for a critical part of the statement, which her 1st correction of her erronious direction caused! Boy, I have been pushing that stressometre up to the limit. My health is very taxed.. so if I ever don't get back on here for a while.. I half expect it will be due to a heart attack! (ok ok bit dramatic hehe)
I have done hours of purposeful non stop declutering and cleaning, yesterday; it's good for stress and I wasn't going to let that judge take me away from me keeping my house decluttered and pleasant. Felt better for it, but body is protesting these days. Still loads more to do.
Kids doing me proud as usual, tomorrow 1st day with both on summer break. I took my DS as a treat today to wash and tumble dry his big white teddy that usually lives at school at his beloved Launderette. Thrilled he was! we stayed the whole time this time and the launderette lady let him do all the soap and coins for the service washes, ahhh.He was sooo thrilled and soooo badly wanted to go into the big dryers for a spin like his ted, you should have seen him! Would put a smile on any face.
Read up on all your troubles, mick, pneumonia, chemo, aches, bone pain, chemo some more,no sleep, more surgeries, no time for grief. Ohhh loveys.. biggest bestest hug to all of you fantastic ladies. Wishing you peachy days ahead.
xxx ooo Shiny

...........and gentle hugs back to you!!!

Hi ladies,
Just home from work and trying to relax a little while the girls watch the BEE Movie. They are glued to the TV.
We thought Cameo(our dog) was fixed but when she started getting a bulge in her tummy we took her to the vet thinking she might have a tummor. At first he thought the same thing but after much head scratching and a few tests...... you got it..... she is expecting 4 to 5 pups in a few weeks. She did have the surgery but somehow it didn't take. Those are my vets words not mine. Still don't have a clear picture of what happened or in this case what didn't happen but we are soon to be the Gparents of a litter.
The other party to this great event is my friends Poodle. WE THINK!!!!!
What do you call a cross between a terrior and a poodle? Hmmmmm. -
Hey everyone-Thanks for all your kind words and support lately. Just wanted to let you know that my prophylactic came back clean! Yay. Still on a journey. It will be a year on July 29 since I begun this all. Each person here has been an inspiration to me and if it weren't for all of you, I don't know how I could have walked this path. Hugs and kisses.
PS-Hubby also went to doc today to get the hemorrhoids removed today. THANK GOD... He calls me from work and says he feels some pain. He is kidding, right?!!!! LOL
No housework for tonight-maybe a good stiff drink.
-
Gentle hugs and prayers of thanks for the good report. Hope the healing is quick and uneventful. sweet dreams and restful sleep.
-
They'd be either Toodles or Perriers IMO.
-
Good night my sweet friends ...Sleep well and pleasant dreams.........
-
Goodnight Lucy!! Sleep well.
-
Shiny....... you'll make it, I just know that you will. It's too bad that you have to spend even one extra minute on this. Please put the aggravation in a box. Draw a big moat around it. Of course easier said than done, but I can offer you encouragement to do so.
Big hugs everyone.
My first ever "Zumba" class has introduced me to muscles I forgot I ever had. Hope that I can move tomorrow. LOL..... all in the name of fitness.
HOpe that everyone has a great night's sleep.
Or Vivvy hope that you have a great day.
-
Thanks Faith,
Am at work...it is sunny and I want to go home and enjoy it.
I think I will stamp my feet like a child and see if they will let me go...lol
Hugs to all
Viv
