Where does all this laundry come from?
Why can't I have this man to help me?
Why did I chose today to give up chocolate (apart from the 10kg's I have gained)?
Life's big mysteries!
Quick get me a choccy biscuit to go with my coffee and girls take a break with me
Hugs
Viv
-
vivy I want a laundry man like that.
-
Ya all can have him, he'd kill me, don't have the energy for him! LOL
-
Deb, doesn't take much energy to watch!
-
Hey Viv, we're renovating our kitchen ourselves too! Just need someone to do cupboards...
-
Welcome Viv!! Love the laundry man!!!! Maybe we should set the laundry on fire and have the laundry man and the firemen put it out!! I'll watch!
Shiny, love the story about your DS! How cute. He's welcome here any time to do my laundry!!
I'll take a corvette too, I might even clean a little for it!
-
OOOOOHHHHHH Coonie its so pretty and shiny. Thanks! As for the tooth, we did alot of discussing and he said it might be better to be on the antibiotic a few more days if I wanted to have it all done in one procedure. So I'm suppose to go back in on Tuesday.
Viv welcome aboard! And I wouldn't turn down one of those chocolate biscuits myself.
Guess I need to get everyone ready for bed. Its been a long day.
-
Thanks for the warm welcome. So what did I do when I have 5 days until I leave for Florida, I go to the park....heheh...... I have 2 kids 4 and 6 that wanted to go play with their friends so off we went. They had a great time and I enjoyed some Vitamin D. I did get 2 loads of laundry done and the dishes out of the sink
. Sorry I will try and stop
Tomorrow: Finish the darn laundry which multiples in the shoot (BTW, I have employed child labor) and maybe I will have the kids vacuum some (they think it's "fun")
-
Welcome Jaimieh and Viv! This is a wild and crazy group. Lots of fun!
Worked today and made the mistake of pushing a med cart around, setting off a cramp in my pectoral muscle. That was at the beginning of the shift. It never really let up until I got home and took a percocet. I'm better now. I will not be pushing a med cart any more for a while, I promise!
I didn't do SQUAT around the house today!
-
Good morning ((( friends )))). I successfully got my coffee this morning without any spills... Little if any housework today - bridge group then trip to grocery store. Tomorrow is my next to last herceptin (I hope) and onco visit to discuss it all. Maybe this time next month I will be rid of the port and I can mark another milestone in this journey.
The park with the kiddos sounds like the perfect way to spend the day. Cheryl, do we have to come over there and give you a smack up side the head? Pushing the cart is a No No !!! I am in Alexandria, is Harrisonburg very close? My geography of the area stinks - moved from Pittsburgh couple of years ago and I avoid the beltway IF I can... I go to Georgetown for tx.
I need a birthday gift for my daughter in law. I know a gift card is probably the best, but something small and cute would be good. They have been married just over a year, she works in an office, does fitness center, likes to cook -- aha, a new cook book. Thanks for letting me get my thinking cap on...
Don't work too hard today and by all means, as little house work as possible. HUGS, Nancy
-
Welcome to Jaim & Viv.
Wake up dust-not-bunnies. It's a new day.
I just tallied up my biking miles. In just under 3 weeks I have tooled around our peninsula up here for 264.3 miles. And, drum roll please. I have lost 1.5 pounds. Geez, Louise. How is that even remotely possible??
My DD pointed out that perhaps I'm actually developing some muscle cells. LOL.
I gotta figure that it's benefitting my heart, even if my jeans are the same size?
Gonna go ride today, before it warms up.
Everybody have a great morning.
If it gets too hot, we'll call those fire fighters.
xx00xx00xx
don't anybody over-do anything!!
-
Holy crap Faith! Have you stopped to eat and sleep? hehehehehe
Nancy, I like to give "cooks" a neat kitchen gadget that they won't want to pay for themselves. Like a grater that is attached to a bowl or container so what you grate goes right in; or a mandolin; or a collapsible strainer; or coloured handled tools....
Cheryl don't break the rules; you only have to do ONE thing a day. For some of us, getting out of bed counts!
-
Good morning bunnies!!!!
Nancy I know EXACTLY how you feel about Herceptin. Girl, I was counting down and I even had the appointment set up to get the port out......or as I've heard others call it DEPORTED!!! It feels so good not having to go every 3 weeks for that treatment. Of course, I do miss my nurses and doctor. I made some really good friends there. But I still go every 3 months for a checkup!
Jaimieh.....you do realize when you go on a trip, we all go too.....LOL.......Just tell us the location, and we just SHOW UP!! Sounds fun doesn't it?? hehe
Cheryl.....now girl.....you being a nurse and all should know better than to be pushing one of them heavy carts!!! That's a no-no.........I'm sorry to tell you, but definitely NO HOUSEWORK for the rest of the year!!!!
Mom so you gotta live with your toothache for another week? I guess they want the infection gone before they start pulling or working on it, huh?
Faithie great googa mooga.......I expect to lose at least 1 lb when I walk to the mailbox and back!!!!!!!!! Really.......but you sure better have some muscles on those legs when I see you. LOL
Barbe my house needs to be COMPLETELY redone......can you book it?
Where is Linda, Sharon, ARNIE, and all the other early birds?????
Hope you bunnies have a Wondermous Wednesday!!!
Big hugs to Kathleen, Shiny, Lursa, 2new1s, MaryRose, and anybody else I missed.
Oh.....and welcome again Viv!!!!!!!!!
-
I'm here, busy trying to avoid doing housework. Good morning all.
-
hehe...LOl Sharon............I thought doggus may still be holding you hostage down in the basement.............it's good to see you avoiding housework today
-
Hi barbe. My son and dil got many nifty kitchen gadgets and gift cards when they got married and at the dil bridal shower. I found a bar b q spatula with a flashlight attached, which I figured no one else would get. And I "wrap" any kitchen gift in a dish towel, if it is small enough. IF one does housework, there are never enough dish towels !!! OH, some place mats and napkins - I know they hate table cloths. Now I have an excuse to do some retail therapy after my Herceptin tomorrow.
If anyone wants another excuse NOT to do housework, get a Knifty Knitter. For years I wanted to learn how to knit or crochet, but between my flexibility limitations (multiple reconstructive surgeries on my wrist) and being left handed, I never learned. This is one very nifty device. The scarf I began is growing longer each day and I cannot believe how easy it is, even for this old lady.
Time for a shower and off to bridge. I prob will check in later today. Easy does it ((((friends))),
Nancy
-
Ooooooo Nancy the spatula sounds amazing for my DH!!! Where oh where did you find THAT? I agree about the dish towels too, what a great idea!
Oh, by the way mom, I TOLD YOU SO! (Forgot to mention that in my earlier post) hehehehehhe (First time I've been able to say that in my life!)
-
Cheryl, if you can't get out of bed, then thinking about it counts too. Get some rest.
Wow, Faith all those miles and only 1.5 pounds! I walk 5 miles everyday, sometimes more and I only gain weight. Tamoxiweight.
Coonie, This early bird is on summer school vacation!! I don't have to get up at 5:45 anymore so I am not going to!! See you around 7:30 am........until Sept.
Barb, I had a kitchen shower when I got married because I love to cook. One of my favorite gifts was a cake server. You may have seen this. It's a stainless steele cake server and it looks like a high heel shoe. It has a magnetic steel heel that you can put on it when not in use. It's really cool, especially if you like heels (KAK). I love it because my father is a cobbler, so we collect all kinds of weird shoe things!
-
Ok Linda......well you deserve to sleep in. Do you kids sleep till noon during the summer?
-
A high heel shoe cake server.....
I just don't see it.
-
Morning friends,
Hate to say it but I may have to resort to cleaning today. Things are getting very messy around here.......... I"m sure hoping that new health care reform bill will include a years worth of free housecleaning services for anyone diagnosed with bc.
Have to try and called a neurologist today, hubby's eye is tearing up awful and swelling with the pain. Thought he was over it this morning but by the time he left for work I could see he was started to feel the pain again.
-
Coonie, my kids are up at the crack of dawn every day. The require little to no sleep. I think it's the ADHD. If they go to bed at 10, they are up at 6. If they go to bed at 2 a.m., they are up at 6.
Shoe cake server, below.
Mom, stop cleaning and take care of DH. Hope he feels better soon.
-
Trust me Linda I have been doing no cleaning lately taking care of him including a trip to the ER but he's not here to take care of today. Went in to work even with the headache so I'm trying to make things nice for him at home. I do plan on making him an appointment with a neurologist whether he wants one or not. This headache has gone on far too long. Plus in between trying to keep my 9 year old busy and not sitting in front of the tv for the summer. She's in her sports camp till 5pm today so there is no excuse not to get busy. May even try to fix hubby a little something special for dinner tonight. He loves casseroles so if any of you have a particularly yummy one let me know.
-
Oh cool Linda. I love the shoe cake server!! Wish I had one of those!!
Mom.....wonder what's wrong with DH? Does he have allergies? My DD woke up yesterday with a sty in the corner of her eye. My prayers are with your DH.
I remember your crock pot roast/potatoes, etc. Maybe he would enjoy that
I think I need to get some house cleaning done today too. Since it's so hot outside, I don't think I'll be going out.
-
Mom, it sounds an awful lot like a sinus infection. Have they checked that out? I hope so!
Linda, too CUTE!
-
I think I'll get some housecleaning done to day since it's another rainy day. My sons have friends over so we have 5 boys today. 5 wet, muddy boys. Thank God I put wood floors in. SO much easier to clean!
-
Hi Leslie (great name by the way
)
-
Hi Leslie, Welcome......and I know the feeling, I have two German Shepherds also...and one of them is a long hair..ugh! It's impossible to keep your house clean..always dust when it's dry out and mud when it's wet...............Max is the white one, weighsover 150lbs, Cody weighs in at 115.
Hugs!
-
Welcome to the thread Leslie. You'll find these ladies to be the sweetest and more compassionate of the whole bunch. We're so glad you found us. Kick back......DON'T do housework.....LOL
Hey Deb......did I tell you I looked at your blog and I LOVE your family. The dogs are just gorgeous!!! Of course, your kids and grandkids are too.....hehe
-
My dogs don't know they're dogs...they think they're no different then the kids, although I think they're a bit more spoiled then my kids ever were! You went to my page ya mean?
