ATTENTION SISTERS: I saw the doctor who said my foot is much worse. I am being re-admitted to the hospital (YES, AGAIN!). He will need to run a MRI of my foot to determine if the infection has gotten into the bone. If not, I will be on IV antibiotics and then rehab. If it is in the bone it will mean surgery to scrape the infection out of the bone along with IV antibiotics and rehab. If you will recall they would not put me in rehab for my shoulder. Well, now they have no choice. In order for the foot to heal, I must remain off of it - how could I do that when I had only myself to care for me - I had to prepare my own meals, shower, get pills 3-4 times each day, go up and down stairs, etc. So, I won't be posting for a good long time. I love you all and will get back in touch in 3-4 weeks. I miss you already!
SHARON - love all your cartoons!
-
Just a few More pics SHARON!!!!!
This One I know has been posted before.....But it was Missing the Caption!!!
"Per a report in The Times this week - a study has revealed that married men who do housework are more likely to have happier and hornier wives..."
I know I am BADDDDD!!!!!
-
KMC.....((((((((((((((((((((BIG GENTLE HUGS FOR SUPER HEALING)))))))))))))))))))))) I pm'ed you!
May the Antibiotics Kick that Infection!!!! Take Care & I am praying for you!
-
Jaimieh, welcomed back but you didn't have to go in the first place since most of what we seem to get accomplished is some chat and friendship.
I'm heading out soon to go get that tooth fixed, anyone want to go in my place???? Tried to call and cancel but the dentist actually answered the phone and has me talked back into coming. Drat, how do you fight kindness like that.
-
Kmc sending lots of hugs your way. Too bad you have to check into the hospital to get the care you need. Come back soon as you can to let us know how you are doing.

Hi Ladies,
Today was my 10 year olds last day of school. He brought home 23 cards for Sgt. Daniel Thornhill that he asked his classmates to make. I will be mailing them out to Daniel in the morning. I just wanted to repost the original message so that if anyone else wants to send him a card, they can.
BKC posted:
His name is Sgt. Daniel Thornhill and he has a B-Day soon I think???? He lost both legs and was burned on 56% of his body while fighting for our country in Iraq. He has been at Fisher house for one year and his parents say he has very few visitors or other corespondance and is very depressed.
Sgt. Daniel Thornhill
Fort Sam Houston Fisher House

Fort Sam Houston, Tx. 78234
I know he could use a card or letter and the girls have colored him pictures and will be sending them out today.

kmccraw, please, please, please post HERE when you come back so we all know how you are doing. I have also PM'd you with my prayers. I will be thinking of you and pray they take good care of you. Healing white light coming your way!
-
Me too sending strong healing vibes to kmccraw
-
Here's a pic from our sunset last night.
I hope it offers encouragement on your journey.
I'll attempt to read back later & get caught up later. Huge bundles of prayers for Kathleen.
-
Does anyone have kmccraw's phone number or home address.........any way of getting in touch with her other than the puter?
-
Don't think anyone has that info Sharon. Good thing too cause I may have had to go over there and give that sister of hers a little heart to heart chat. No one should have to fend for themselves like that. At least in the hospital someone will fix her some good meals and help her get around. Makes my heart feel sad to think about it.
-
I totally agree Mom. If you get the address and go over.........I'm comin' with ya.
-
Hey bunnies......I'm coming too
-
me too.
-
KMCCRAW, I am joining all the girls in praying for quick healing for you. Also for you to get a good rest in hospital. I have met some very special people during my hospital stays, my roomies and I hit it off and on the best days, it was like grown woman having a pyjama party, just more quiet. We will all be sending the bestest vibes your way, everyday.
Macraz, well done to you and your kids and their friends, I am sure that soldier will be stired by the outpouring of appreciation.
"HOUSEWORK" STORY: Had my lovely DS with me today, as his helper for school was off ill. Wellllll, I knew i'd have him as of yesterday, so after getting over the fact that yet again, my precious few moments of "clever brain time" for SEN work deadline was not going to be used again today, I planned our schedule for today. At bedtime, I told my little munchkin, that I would, take him to the...wait for it.... Launderette!!!!. Oh you should have seen his eyes, the excitement! He said it over and over again "on Tuesday, Launderette with mummy, put the money in, put the soap in".
As you gather, my little one has a love of washing machines, he finds them thrilling and relaxing all at once. A while back, my DH took him to one and he has been wanting to go back ever since. The lady in there quickly saw that this was nearly like xmas morning to him and let him help her do some of the washes, then a lovely little elderly lady took a shine to him and let him help her too! He was hopping, watching them spin, listening and just loving it. He could have stayed in there all day! On leaving he said, "Mummy will make a launderette at home!?". I try to make cardboard versions of what he really likes often, but this one is a tall order!)
Just thought his enthusiams with the laundry might put a smile on some faces, you should have seen him, he he..
Sending my bestest vibes your way, texas rose, Arnie and the gang.

oh Coonie,
As we are both "online" at the same time, just had to pop back in and wish you well and say,
Hi friend!
Don't tell Barbe though, she keeps me in line with staying up late and by my new standards this is a wee bit late, 11:20 pm.
Best get to bed, my DH has just gone up with a cup of herbal tea, "how terribly civalized" (gosh, I can't spell to save my life.. so it's handy that that is not a main requirement for survival I guess?? )
nighty night Coonie,
Shiny

-
Coonie can I have a red or blue one?
-
copy-cat!

Hi All,
Would you mind if I joined in as well? We are renovating our kitchen and bathroom by ourselves. Not the most cleverist thing to do when you have bc but it was all started just before diagnosed.
So have half a kitchen, floors with no tiles but plenty of adhesive to scrap up ....seems a good enough excuse not to do the housework.
Remember only boring people have immaculate houses....I must be REALLY exciting
Hugs
Viv

Corvettes are over rated Patoo, had one....LOL, a black 1981, looked like the Batmobile..it broke down just as much as any other car.........the only thing good about drviing it was hearing the kids yell, hey it's the batmobile!
-
Here you go Mom....after all that tooth trouble, you deserve a new car. BTW....how is your tooth? Did you get it taken care of today? Hope all is much better.
-
Welcome Viv......it's good to have you join us. We have a great time. We really don't get much housework done, but we do like to talk about it. It sounds like you've got alot on your plate right now. Just sit back, relax and let everybody else do it for you:)
