I have found a way to not do house work......my washing mashine is broken. DH still trying to fix it and now the hot water tank is now broken so now I do not have to do the dishes. DH is now trying to fix my hot water tank. So I guess the next thing to break will be my stove then I will no longer have to cook. Well off to bed . Sweet dreams every one
(((HUGS)))) to all who need it

I LOVE folding the laundry, what I hate is putting it away! Why? But then, I don't DO the laundry, my DH does as it's downstairs and I certainly can't do stairs AND carry a basket. He's done it for the past million years....Glad I trained him early as my arthritis got worse. I had to fall down the stairs a couple times, but it worked!
I even fell down the stairs while we viewed an open house I wanted. He didn't buy the house though....

Hi Ladies,
Just a wee little note to say HI. I am back since Sunday a.m. Haven't slept enough. Had 3 hours sleep in the day yesterday, then got kids from school. Just amazing all the stuff to catch up with in house after a week away. I have loads to do relating to Special needs Tribunal for my DS but, apparently, it is going to have to wait a little longer, I need some more sleep. I will start at noon.
I am too emotionaly and physically exausted. I have total faith so know Dad is in Heaven, it's just I haven't had enough alone time to just absorbe the truth of his passing. I'll get there. The service went very well, and many many people came who knew him over 30/40 years ago. He clearly had a very possitive impact on loads of people. I think I just grieve for all his suffering. But, hey, I am a Shiny, possitive person, and I am very greatful for the years I had him, now I just look up when I talk to him, and that will get easier. Huggs to the many of you who have losts a parent also.
Bless you all and huggs to all waiting on more tests, going through chemo or just getting on with all your busy demanding lives. Hope today is a sunny, happy day for you all.
ps:Boy, Barbe, you sure get up early!

Good morning Bunnies!
Time to rise and shine.......it's a new day!
May you all be blessed day!
Shiny, it's so good to see you post. We've been thinking about you and sending prayers and hugs your way!
(((((((((((((Mom)))))))))))) for everything you're goiong through right now. Sure hope this gets resolved real soon. You certainly don't need another thing on your plate right now.
(((((((((((((((((hugs to all in treatment, surgeries, etc.)))))))))))))))))

Good morning to all.
Shiny it's good to see you back. I'm glad the service went well. I remember when my Dad died and lots of people came to his service who had known him years ago as well as more recent friends. I was pleased to know of his positive impact on them. I also remember that I seemed to need more sleep than usual around that time. So do make sure you get plenty, I know you have a lot on your plate. (((((gentle hugs)))))
-
First off, good morning housework avoiders.
Arnie.......your post sounds ominous, I hope things are ok! (Now is where I'd insert the worried emoticon.)
Shiny, good to see you are home safe and sound. It takes time for our brains to process and absorb these sad times. You've not had the time yet.....
Mom, I so hope you find out this is a mistake.........and that you find out soon. (Time to insert another worried emoticon.)
Gentle hugs to all. No housework today......too much else going on here. (Edit to add, I mean here on the boards.)
-
Shiny, nice to hear from you. Get some rest and feel better. These things take time.
Arnie and the Mr., I hope you are OK!!
-
Good luck to mr and mrs arnie for his bubble test today! I hope he doesn't blow any!
Mom, I gently ask, you had a double mast anyway, what if they just didn't want to scare you into one by mentioning that it was worse than you even thought at first? It doens't make a difference with DCIS does it? Once the breast ducts are gone, so is the cancer. Right? Or is it just that if they missed that, then what else did they miss? Keep us posted!
Jayne, I forget you live in the UK too. You must know Shiny!
-
Hugs and love to all in the midst of the journey.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Shiny, thank you for taking the time to check in and bring us up-to-date. Please take care of yourself in the midst of all that is happening. Grief takes it's own timetable. We will continue our prayers on your behalf.
-
Good to see you again, ((( shiny ))). (((Mom))), You made a decision based on what you knew at the time. In the long run, it may have been the better choice.
BUT, I feel your frustration in not getting the whole picture, the complete pathology report. When I had the stereo biopsy, the path report had all kinds of terms on it and when I asked the surgeon, she said DO NOT go looking them up - you will drive yourself crazy. I see no problem, but keep an eye on that area. It was almost a " don't fix what ain't broken", which was good for me.
While the kiddos are out and about, treat yourself - new lipstick, bubble bath, hot fudge sundae - make it ALL about YOU. Mc D latte is pretty tasty and you don't have to get out of the car to get it.
((( mr and mrs arnie ))) good thoughts go out for you. (((( all of you ))))) Hugs and Blessings, Nancy

Good morning ladies. I am at home today with my little ones sick so will try to get something done around the house. Don't know what yet don't really feel like doing much of anything. Sure wish we would get some rain. It was 103 here yesterday and felt like110. The ac was working over time and still it was hot. And we are still in June! Can't imagine what it will be like in July and August. The grass fires have been terrible here and we have been under a burn ban off and on for months. The fire station is just down the road from us and you can hear the alarms 5 or 6 times a day.Everyone is keeping the hose ready to go just in case we need to hose down the roof and yards.Don't need a storm just a slow gentle rain will work fine.
-
So yesterday I had the bone scan. People there are soo nice. Ended up canceling CT scans because onc wanted to do both Chest & Ab CT together and doc had to call insurance to get it straightened out. Got call from his office this morning, they were able to get me in this afternoon for CT scans. So happy, cause this means I will get results to all during onc appointment tomorrow.
So sorry to hear about sick children! Hugs to everyone today. Linda- any sun up your way? I hear sun on Wed & Thurs, we'll see

(((((((((((((((((((shiny, MaryRose, Lursa, 2new1s, Arnie and Mr. Arnie, Deb, Kathleen, Jayne in UK, and Jane))))))))))))))
Lori........girl it sounds like it's just NOT meant for you to do ANYTHING today...hehe LOL
Take a break then!!!
-
((((((((((((((((((Mom)))))))))))))) keep us posted on your situation, ok? I've been worried about that.......'cause I know you're worried. When does it ever stop???
-
Shiny, it's great to hear from you. When my dad died, I was very touched by his old friends & how much they loved him & missed him. It was really something to see these grown men tear up. I was so happy that my dad had such good friends & I thanked him then for passing on the blessing of having good friends to me.
Mom, you can't second guess yourself. We can only make our decisions based on what we're told & what we can research at the time. HUGS to you. This is soooooo stressfull.
EWB, I'm keeping my fingers (& my eyes, legs & arms!!) crossed for you. And by the way, I'll believe we're having sun later this week when I see it!! We have had the strangest weather in New England lately. Very moody. The sun can't seem to stay out for more than an hour or two.
bkc, if we could send our New England weather to you, we would!! It's been cool and comfortable, I'll say that much for it. If you can send us some Texas sun & warmth, we'll send you some rain & cool, how's that??
And speaking of Texas, where's Mary??? How are you, Mary?
How's Mr. Arnie doing, Arnie?
Love & hugs to everyone else. I'm sitting at my local Saturn dealtership waiting for an oil change!!
-
Hey KAK.....just go ahead and do some car shopping. Treat yourself today:) hehe LOL
That would be a big treat, huh?
Oh, it's 98 degrees in Louisiana today, so I'm sending you HALF, ok?
-
Half sounds like a good deal, Coonie!
My Saturn is new -- this is its First Oil Change!! -- but I wouldn't mind taking a test drive in one of those cute little Saturn Sky sports cars. Have you seen those things??? I think a Sky in some jazzy color would go very nicely with my new tattoo and my red high heels. Don't you think??
-
Do it!! Do it!! Do it!!! And take a pic so we can see. You HAVE to get something to go with your red heels and tattoo!!!!!! I have seen them and I think you'd look great in one
-
Good Morning Ladies...........hope all are well today.......I don't even wanna hear about cars, mines sitting in our garage broke down, a sensor or something went out in the transmission....so now I get to drive everyday 25 mins to take him to work, then stop at the hospital and sit there forever cuz I will get there 30 mins early for my rads......then drive home, then at night go back another 25 minutes to pick him up....and he doesn't get off till 10:30...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....least till he can get the parts he needs and borrow some jack stands from my bil...............

Hello ladies! I just had to share with you a bit of good luck I have had on the house work front!
Well, about 11 this morning the video phone rang and there was a guy there in pirate clothes so I buzzed him in coz the woman downstairs has outlandish boyfriends so I though he must have left his wristwatch in her bathroom or similar so I buzzed him in.
Anyway, next thing is my doorbell goes and I look out the little hole thingy and there he is. I though, tsk, the idiot doesn't even remember which floor she lives on....
But no - he wants me - keeps banging on door. Then I thought, blimey, this is not an invasion by mormons is it? So I opened the door to get shot of him and blow me down, it is Johnny Depp.
So I said "Johnny, she lives downstairs".
He says, "It is you I seek. I have come to do your Hoovering".
I thought to myself, bloody odd. Wonder if he does ironing too?
So I let him in, and once he'd managed to stick his cutlass in the umbrella stand and hanged his hat, he was straight down to it. I've got a rather grand german vaccum cleaner which is very good and does all sorts of sophisticated things if you are into that. Which as it turns out, he was.
Well, the apartment is now spotless and Johnny said he'd had the best session ever - could he come back next week perhaps? As that was such a good offer I didn't want to blow things by saying about the ironing but hey - who knows he might absolutely adore doing shirts and dresses with frilly bits.
We had a bit of a struggle getting the sword out of the umbrella stand and there is now a bit of a hole in the ceiling but Johhny says he's got a friend called George who will fix it and he'll bring him along next week. Then he did rather an impressive leap to the chandeliers and straight onto the bannisters and whizzed off.
Phew, I was quite surprised by all of this. Free cleaning by Johnny Depp. Wow.
You never really know what's round the corner do you?
-
Have
not been able to post due to mouse trouble - will catch up later
-
Please send Johnny my way next!! Maybe Kathleen could use him too, does he get rid of mice?
