Hey KAK!!! I think Checkum's farm animals HAVE multiplied
OH!!! I love Linda's boats..........I want the 3rd duck down on the right (the white one)
Edit: to add picture.....I think these are dust bunnies:) Maybe mugga bunnies!!
-
Those are swans, Coonie darlin', the famous Swan Boats at Boston Common. But then they also offer Duck Tours at the Common, too, so it's easy to get confused!!
-
Kathi,
Thanks for posting my Swan Boats! You know I can't post pics so you saved me. Yes, I have enough for all my friends
It's still raining! -
We've got some sun down here. What's up?? Is it skipping over southern Mass? I know Checkum has sun in NH. 'Sup with that??
Coonie, here is the amphibious vehicle they use for the Duck Tours in Boston. Linda, we really do have a fun couple of cities near us, don't we?? Swan boats in Boston, Waterfire in Providence.
-
The darned bird boats are multiplying like dust bunnies.
-
That's one funny looking duck
Awwhhh I'm kidding ya'll.....that looks like fun KAK. Now you're making me want to travel North and visit your area:) They have duck tours like that in Branson Missouri too. They give everybody those little "quackers" when they go aboard and you can hear them quacking all over town.......hehe
-
Coonie, that's exactly what I thought -- "that's a funny-looking duck!" I think it has to do with that statue in the Common called "Make Way For Ducklings," which I think someone posted here once.
I just accidentally grated my knuckle while washing the cheese grater. That'll teach me to try cleaning the kitchen!
-
Yes, we do live near some fun cities! Although I wish the summer season would last more than a couple months. It's great if you are a ski bum, but those days are gone for me!!
It just down poured again. I can see the sun north and south of me, well not the sun but not black clouds. Those black clouds you see off in the distance...... that's where I live!!
-
Awwhhhhh KAK!!!!! Now that's some cute ducks!!!! and cute baby ducklings:) I LOVE that and would love to see it in real life.
Linda........you shoulda told me you were the house under the black cloud!!! I could have found you quicker than just the one with a mailbox, dirty windows and BOYS ........... LOL

Wow miss a little time on here and your eyeballs are crossing trying to catch up with all your posts.
Finally had to go to skimming to even pretend to get caught up.
I feel like I am running a marathon lately with school out and two kids to keep up with who have very different schedules. Did make myself a hair appointment and took a moment of me time. So good seeing almost everyone back. Didn't see Shiny though, so if you read through this mountain of posts, we miss you. Don't think I saw Mary or Lursa either, so hoping you gals check in too.
-
......sigh, no Arnie either.
-
Keep good thoughts on Monday. I have bone scan, chest & ab CT scans scheduled, with onc appt on Wednesday for results.Praying for continued stablility!
-
We've ALREADY had this DUCK/SWAN discussion so I'll try to hold back!
Elaine, remind us as we get closer so you can go to the top of our prayer chain! You get fast results...nice.
Is that Boston Duck Tour an amphibious boat? Land/water? We have some up here and they freak me out every time I see them drive right into the lake!
-
EWB..............
-
Elaine.......prayers sent from my end too.
-
Well, I'm sending prayers too! It's just that I want to be able to give her a cyber hug after the tests while she's waiting for results! Really!

HELP...this is the thread for me. I live in a sub where everybody is either richer or less talented than I..I mean, they'd rather spend all their free time in the yard. I'd RATHER SPEND MY FREE TIME PAINTING. I am constantly getting comments. I have weeds in my garden, we don't get the lawn mowed often enough.I do my best with the house, but I have 2800 square feet to take care of. I counted up the closets and drawers at one point and they number in the 200s or so. THIS IS TOO MUCH. I cannot afford a maid, and I cannot be a slave to my house.So...what do I do...? I do a thorough clean-up of the bathrooms about once every two weeks, I have taught my husband how to run a vacuum, every now and then I organize the master bedroom closet, the basement, and my art supplies. My husband handles the kitty litter, and we have a swinging door where they come in and out, and we don't always know when they bring prey into the house (dead or alive, I found a dead bird in one of my boots last winter). The linen closet is a disaster because my husband and I have different ideas about how to fold sheets and where to stack them. and every shelf and drawer in the kitchen is not exactly clean. The refrigerator is full of scientific experiments that I try to dispose of n out every time we go to Costco. We have spices in our drawers that are many years old. But we survive, somehow.I hate summers. The weeds are totally out of control. We pay to have the yard mowed every week (and this costs even more than AC). Trees die and need to be removed at $500 each. And we actually want to go on vacations.HELP!Miz

Kathleen, LMAO! I love that cartoon!
Deb, those flowers are beautiful! I haven't been able to work in my flower garden like I usually do. First there was chemo fatugue; then surgery. I can get back into it in about a month, though. I can't wait!
Candice, slow down, girl!! On this thread we try to see who can get the least housework done, not the most! OK, lets tally this up: I have done 0 loads of laundry today and have 0 more to go!
I WON!
TGIF, I'm going to see the star trek movie tonight!
-
Miz, relax, join us. You don't have to do anything here!! Welcome to our club!!
Barb, yes the duck tours are an amphibious boat. They freak me out when I see them too. It's like a tank coming down the street!
EWB, keep us posted. We will definitely keep you in our prayers.
Arnie, Mr Arnie, Julz, Sarah, and all others in need Hugs and prayers being sent your way.
Have a great weekend sistahs!!
-
Ok, you've turned me into a stalker....I had to follow you guys over from the cute thread. The very idea of a thread for those of us who are housework-challenged. I'm not the only one who's proud when she actually accomplished ONE load of laundry per weekend. Hope I fit in!
-
Jane, glad you followed us!
Barbe, don't ever hold back! I know there was a duck/swan discussion before, but I don't think it was illustrated quite as thoroughly, and I'm a native Bostonian so I felt compelled....! Yes, it is weird to see those vehicles! Plus, I imagine they were adapted from military vehicles, so it's kind of funny to think of them driving tourists around the city.
Good luck, EWB! We'll all be thinking of you.
Hugs to all our other friends in need.
Well, I did wash some dishes today, but then I gave myself a manicure on one hand, so now I have to go finish the other one!! And of course I can't do any more housework right after a new manicure!!
XXOO
-
This is for all you new gals.
Come on in, grab your dust rags and join in.
-
Wait a minute....I have to find my dust rag....there it is...under the dust.
-
Jane, you'll fit right in too!
Mom, good to have you back. I was nervous you had another headache!!
-
Miz our home is about half the size of yours and I still have trouble keeping up with it so don't feel bad. I got rambo focused though a few days ago and actually got it clean (that after 7 months of waiting for it to clean itself). A few false starts, lots of friendly chat here, a couple of yard sales to get rid of the excess and most importantly not bringing stuff back in has finally started to have its effect. I haven't even allowed myself to go to yard sales or the goodwills lately. Stuff just binds you up, I'm beginning to realize there is a reason those advertising execs pay all those millions for advertising....... I am breaking the "I need it" treadmill. " Less is more" is my new guideline.
-
Thought I was going to trying to catch up with all the posts I had missed. Maybe that is what Shiny is trying to do as we speak.
-
Welcome to all the newbies to the only place on earth where you're allowed to be a lazy sloth! LOL.
MOM Thank God you're back, like Linda was worrying you had another migraine! ugh...........they've all been good, been watching them while you were gone! hehehehehe
Hugs to all!
