Barbe I don't know whether to hope you pass it or hope you don't.
-
Barb, how did you know that Faith was trying to post that pic if you were in bed sleeping?? Sleep gf! Sorry to hear about all the pain from the kidney stone. Can't they zap them? That's a technical term......
-
Hey Barbe! Do you have a name picked out for your kidney stone
If it's that big, and you gotta have it..........at least you should be able to name it:)
Jayne.........I'm so glad to see that stands for Other Half and not Old Hag........LOL......tell your other half we're glad you're here with us:)
Hey Kathleen..........what were you doing out that early taking pics of my swimming in the lake? huh??? You're supposed to be resting that arm. Hey......but I sure am glad you're able to post the pics. It's GREAT to see you back:) ((((((((((((((big hugs to you)))))))))
Cathi....how's your tummy today? Did granddaughter take your mind off of it with the Hanna Montana dancing? Hope you enjoy your pool time:)
Linda......I wish we could trade states. I need rain and cold weather. It's just hot and icky here.........and DRY. Of course, hurricane season just started, so I better not complain too fast.
-
The Escape thread uses a picture of a boat called "Escape". On Faith's rambling travels yesterday on her holidays, she went to a marina....and there was the exact boat!!!! Check it out!
They can't zap my stone as it is too big and will cause damage to the tube thingie of which it is sitting in....sigh. As if it sitting there right now isn't causing damage! He gave me really strong antibiotics to have for the couple of months before I see him and I am to take them for 3 days every time I "have an infection." Is that professional or what? With the pain killers I can only tell I have an infection when I can't pee and have break-through pain....sigh.
That's funny about naming it. My husbands brain tumours are "Ted" as in, did Ted do that or did you? My breast tumour we called Angie wondering if it was an angiocarcinoma before bc diagnosis. So I think I'll call my kidney stone Mick (as in Mick Jagger, and if I have to explain that one, PM me!) I don't normally name stones, just tumours but what the heck!
-
Everyone should have their Vitamin D levels checked. There is a high correlation between getting breast cancer and low vitamin D levels. Mine was extremely low. After starting Vitamin D therapy for several weeks, I had an increase in energy, clearer thinking and a more positive attitude on life. I also had a decrease in the aches and pains which I thought were a hold over from the chemo. EVERYONE NEEDS TO HAVE THEIR VITAMIN D levels checked. Ask your doctor to check your Vitamin D3 levels. I go to the University of Chicago for my cancer care and my oncologist is now testing all of her cancer patients for low vitamin D levels. The FDA changed its recommendation for the amount to take. It is now 1000 units a day. Good luck!
-
I love it!! Mick!! Very creative!
BTW, I just washed my floors and I gotta tell you, it is so much easier now that I had the wood put in. No chemicals!!
-
Well Barbe........I hope Mick will just disappear from you life. You don't need another "named" friend......LOL
Oh..........I THINK that boat is Faith's and Checkum borrowed it for the Escape Thread. Faith had posted it before and when Checkum saw the pic, well, she thought it was perfect for the thread. That's what I'm thinking.........I may be wrong......I have been a catrillion times.......but that's what I'm thinking.....maybe Sharon or Faith can remember?? PLEASE tell me I didn't just dream all of this up......hehe........I know---------Loonie Coonie
-
Carol, that`s been hashed over on another Vit D thread, it`s too late for all of as as far as the risk goes as we all have breast cancer...hehehehe You only need 30 minutes of sun each day to reap the benefits or liquid D in 1,000 iu drops as per required.
Welcome to the Housework thread!
-
Coonie, you did dream that up! Faith had never seen that boat in her life! That`s why the whole thing is so freaky!!!!
-
Great googa mooga!!!! SOMEBODY, please come to my defense!!!! PLEASE tell me I didn't dream that up.
Faith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Calling Faithie!!!!!!!!!!!!! H E L P M E!!!!
-
Coonie, let me tell you a secret....(whispering in your ear so no one else can hear) blame it on chemo brain...........:)
Good Morning all!!!!!!!!! DH set the alarm for 9:30am. Woke me up but he's still sleeping!!!!! What's wrong with this picture?
-
I think Faith had that pic in her arsenal too Coonie. At least that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Oh, and may I add.........I've ACTUALLY been doing housework. One thing just kind of led to another........I hate that! Hehehehee I'm exhausted.
-
Lol Deb.......wake him up and ask him why he set the alarm.
-
ONCEE AGAIN! How come I got shamed for doing housework and no one else is? hmmmmmmmmmm??????????????????????????????????????????????
-
........cause I seldom do it so I suspect they're all in shock Deb.
-
ok Deb........now, you get your big cast iron frying pan and some spoons......go to your husband's side of the bed and just start banging!!!!! Then ask him........"were you asleep"?
Thank God that Sharon remembers!!!! I KNEW I thought I knew that........whew
-
Coonie after all I've done to save my life, now you're trying to get me killed! LOL
Sharon, I admitted to cleaning one day and man I caught 7 yards of you know what.......not fair! Who do I file a protest with?
-
Deb, you better call MOM at home. I think she should hear about this.
Fair is fair in love and housekeeping
-
NO WAY if she has a migraine, I might get grounded and couldn't go to rads today......on second thought......
-
Faith MAY have had the pic from Google, but she had never seen the boat in real life. Didn`t even know where it was!
-
Coonie, see page 2 of Our Escape.
-
Deb, you got in trouble 'cause you are still getting treatment. Me? I have no excuse other than laziness not to do housework.
-
Sharon's right Deb. People in treatment aren't supposed to do housework. Uummmm........I'm still taking Arimidex. Am I in treatment? (LOL)
Sharon!!!!!!!!! Page 2 of Escape thread..........phew.......I knew I wasn't going crazy.
Hey Barbe, please read it and tell me I'm not going crazy:)........hehe
-
No housework for you Coonie either. You're just getting over one heck of a BUG. Save the Arimidex excuse for another time. HEY, I'm taking it too.
-
Ah coonie children do take your mind off a lot of things, even when I have been at my worst having Alexcis come around always seems to make things better, she was disappointed that I could not dance with her this AM, we have always danced together, she is a BIG DISCO fan thanks to me. We are headed to the pool shortly (that will feel so good on the hip and back), Saturday is beach day - not up to sand 2 days in a row. The tummy is still a bit off, I know I have to be careful with the asprin, don't have an ulcers that I know of, but have had tummy issues for over a year so don't want to flare that up.
Enjoy your afternoon ladies - wish you were all here.
XOXOXOXOX
-
Coonie, she says she took that pic in their marina, don't say the boat was hers........
And these are unfair guidelines....being on Arimidex should count as "in treatment" too...it causes worse side effects then the rads do, well at least from what I read! LOL...so NOT lookin forward ot taking that crud......
Hugs
-
I'm on tamoxifen for the next 5 years so I guess no hosuework for me for 5 years. I like how this is working out!
-
Coonie the boat is NOT hers and she was NOT at her marina when she saw it again! Too freaky, eh?
Cathi, why don't you try Tylenol instead of Aspirin? We want your (flat!) tummy to feel better...
-
Nah, the boat ain't hers...........Coonie meant 'the boat' is Faith's picture...........not her boat.
Okay..............Deb, if you want, give me heck for doing housework.............I promise to do no more today other than bring the clothes in off the line.
-
It'n not Faiths, maybe it's mine??? Maybe that was the picture I posted with the big red X!
