Hugs and prayers to those in need................
I have an appt. today and so will have NO time for housework. Gosh, darnit all anyway!!! Hahahaha.
-
Mom, Have fun with the kids!!
Nancy, stop sending your rain my way. Isn't it crazy???
-
Linda, we must have angered the "rain gods" as the ground is soooo saturated here that there are mushrooms 6 inches across. IF I could post pics, I would.
Anyone here do the chat room? No one is on in the mornings or much during the day - BUT, at night, it is one very busy place. Chat is very easy, just type out and press enter or return. I am going over there now and see if any of you dust busters want to join me.
-
I used to chat a lot. I'm on the boards more now. I'd join you Nancy but I'm just finishing my porridge and have to get ready to head in to town. If I'm ready early I'll go look for you.
-
Thanks Flash!
My dust bunnies HAVE united! I think that's the problem (or the solution, depending on how you spin it). They are in control now, not me. Whew! That took a load off my shoulders!
Faith if you get lost too far north, I can have you over for dinner! I get home at 7 tonight. It's my early night, so come on over! (I love lost adventures, they're the best ones. I remember our first road trip and I had the trusting sense to fall asleep. When I woke up, we drove for about half an hour and I finally said "We're lost, aren't we?" Yep.)
-
Nancy, I hear you about the mushrooms. We've got them here too. I would post a picture but I have a feeling it would just be a big red X!
I don't do the chat rooms since I always post something, run around the house and do something and then come back and check the threads. Not a fun person to chat with. Maybe someday.
Barb, send your bunnies over, perhaps I can teach them to clean!
-
Okay - I'm back for a limited engagement only as it is really hard to type with one finger.
I was wrestling alligators when......
Walking down the corridor of a hospital, for no apparent reason, fell forward coming crashing down onto my shoulder. I felt more pain than ever in my life!
-

-
Good morning Jayne........or good afternoon
How are you today?
EWB.....you're right.......maybe our bunnies need to be more aggressive
-
makes me think of Monty Python's killer rabbit from the movie
-
Chatty group, this monring. Coonie, still so happy everytime I see you post.
kmc - be careful with your shoulder. Walking can be dangerous! It's good to have you back too!
-
Hi Coonie, love the aggressive bunny.
I'm having a good day thanks. Yes it is afternoon here:) I have done several loads of laundry, went for a walk this morning and now I am sat here drinking a cup of tea. I'm a typical Brit in that respect.
It's really good to have you back here and posting again.
-
Hey all!
Just blew all my energy on my chemo support thread, but wanted to drop by here long enough to send love and hugs and prayers to all who need it.
NO housework today for me!
Coonie- Today is the last day on the Emend. Thank God for that little miracle pill.
Hope everyone has an awesome day!
-
EWB.....I didn't see that movie........it may be good that I didn't, huh?
Thanks Linda......I'm sitting outside your house:) LOL
Jayne........tea sounds good. What kind and how do you fix it? I've never really liked hot tea before, but maybe it's 'cause I didn't know what I was doing:)
MaryRose.....those little Emend pills are MIRACLES and EXPENSIVE miracles. My insurance doesn't cover medication, so I had to pay out of pocket for those babies........$330 for 3 pills every 2 weeks for 4 months!!!!!!!! I could have bought a new CAR with that money! But I'd rather be nausea free
........sending you good vibes still...........NO NAUSEA NO NAUSEA NO NAUSEA!!!
-
Good morning ladies!......Wow everyone seems pretty busy today.......Coonie go the makers of Emend's website ...I think they will help you with the cost since your insurance won't cover it....Hope you all are having a great week!.....
-
Thanks Lucy! But I've been done with chemo a little over a year. I sure would like a refund though....hehe (LOL) Then maybe I could get that new car
-
Never seen The Holy Grail? its a must for bucket lists
so many classic lines come from that movie (at least I think so) but come from a family of Monty Python fans.
-
Good Morning all....hello to everyone , the new posters I haven't met and all.not awake yet........maybe i better come back after more coffee....
uhh Kmm...did you have an identity prob and think you were Steve, the Croc hunter or what, what on earth? Surely you're kidding us!
-
Coonie I drink various different types of tea, usually hot though to warm me up a bit
I sometimes have Earl Grey (no milk or sugar), English breakfast or Keemun with milk, no sugar. I like to make it in a warmed teapot and let it brew for a few minutes before pouring out. At work or if I am in a rush it gets made with a teabag in a mug. The water needs to be boiling hot, not just warm. My American SIL always uses boiling water, but I have sometimes been given water that is just warm when I ask for tea in America, and I cannot make a decent cuppa out of it! Mind you my SIL's mother said that she couldn't believe it when she came to London and asked for tea and they automatically put milk in it assuming she must want it that way when she didn't.
I also like Chai, which I first tried when I was in San Francisco, but now we can buy it over here.
If it is very hot weather (not usual in the UK but if I am in Greece or some other hot country) I do like iced tea too.
-
Ok I wasn't awake when I posted that one...I know she couldn't have been wrestling alligators in a hospital.........omg, no more nyqul at nite.
-
Jayne....maybe you could come down to my place and fix me a cuppa? LOL
It sounds delicious the way you do it:)
Hey Deb.....yep.......I think it was an alligator in a hospital!!!
-
Ok guys, I keep typing this and my laptop keeps crashing, Now I'm giving you the shortened version...
Julz's DIL is still in the hospital. The steriods they were giving her were not working so they switched to giving them to her orally. It seems to be working better. They are hoping she will be able to come home tomorrow. Julz would like to thank everyone for their prayers, they seem to be working! I think we should continue to pray for Jule and Sarah and the rest of the family. Not an easy time for them.
Now,, I am going to hit submit and it better not crash!
-
Kathleen, did you sue the hospital for the crack you tripped on?
I sure hope you got treated quickly and well! {{{{{{ HUGS }}}}}}}}}
-
Well it is a brisk 94 degrees here today, thank goodness for the water breeze we have, those who live in land - it is even hotter. I have done pretty much no housework today, I did load the dish washer, take Margo outside several times (Yes Mom she is much bigger - well at 6Lps the vet says thats her max), lots of nausea today (to many asprin I am sure) , Ed is on his way home with Alexcis for the night , and I am not sure I can even handle that with this stomach, but she loves her PA-PA and he's a big help there, so all will be fine.
-
It's 55 here today, cold and drizzly.. Isn't it June??
Have fun with Alexcis.Hope you feel better.
