Good morning dustbunnies!!! So sorry to those of you who didn't sleep well. That is the PITS!!
I love looking at old pics. They're all so cute. BKC, I'm almost sure you got in to my old photos......LOL That group pics looks like one I have.
((((((((((((((MaryRose))))))))))) I'm so sorry about the chemo kicking you down this time. Just mark one more treatment off your calendar. The fatigue is really unimaginable though, huh? It's like you need help to lift an arm
Sending lots of hugs and prayers your way. Take it easy and do what you feel is best about your hair. It WILL come out, but it just depends on how you want to handle it. Whatever makes you comfortable.
(((((((((((Lursa)))))))))) I'm so sorry you're not feeling good. I admire your courage. It sounds like you've been through so much. Bless your heart. I hope you have a good day today. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
Did I miss something, or is MOM having migraines still? I miss her posts.
Barbe!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your work is BEEEEUTIFUL!! It made me smile:) I certainly hope you didn't do any housework before leaving home this morning. I'm not sure if I told you (my brain is slow these days) but I enjoyed all your get well wishes!! You're too funny and I always smile when I see your post. How's your newly married daughter? Any grandkids on the way yet? LOL
Makraz.....is school almost out? Time for you to get out the ball and chain
Deb........I DO use hand sanitizer ALL THE TIME. Is that not good anymore? I think I probably use it 20 times a day.......especially if I'm at work.
KAK......I could sure use a massage. What time can I expect you? hehe
Cathi----you haven't changed a bit. Still cute as a button:) Thank you for your well wishes. I've been praying for you and your daughter. Hope things are better.

-
Barbe I have seen your pictures, your hair does not look at all like that. Sharon I think almost everyone went to the same hairdresser back then, I think I was 4 in that picture so it was around 62-63,
Connie the last I heard from Mom she is still having migraines -
I have been trying to stay up on all these posts - you gals sure are busy, and I really am not (with house work anyway) these days, a little spit shine every now and then, we don't spend alot of time inside this time of year - so things tend to stay cleaner, and as far as cooking - who eats when it is this hot??? We live on lettuce and ice cream. We will be at 90+ degrees all week, and humid as all heck - but thats Florida for about 4 months. Ed has hired a new part time sales man who seems to be working out well so he is taking some more time off - YEAH. I sure do miss him when he's not around.
Heres hoping everyone has a great day - I must do some paying work now.
XOXOXOXOXOX

Just a brief run through. Too tired to stick around long but wanted to say:
Kathi- You know I love ya!! Vent all you want about the economy. I just hate that there a few big banks out there who really screwed the pooch and now all the banks are paying in reputation. MOST banks and especially your smaller local banks are business as usual. And yes, I am married to the greatest, nicest, most ethical banker in the world!! He tries to talk people out of loans sometimes. Just because it works on paper doesn't mean it works if you know what I mean.
It's all good. I love ya! We are good!
Smiles and hugs to everybody! It's a very tired day for me today. Day 2 of chemo #2. No nausea thanks to that wonderful Emend, but my hair is coming out in massive clumps now. Oh well. I knew it was coming and I'm ready for it. Guzzzling the water too!
-
((((((((((((((((MaryRose))))))))))))))
So sorry..........You're right about Emend. It's like a miracle drug:)---------keep that water going too:)

Migraine finally ended yesterday. Love the pain free feeling when it comes too.
The good news is I got tired of my house being messy for the last 7 months. Use to keep it so clean and tidy. So yesterday I got my butt in gear and went on a cleaning rampage. Got everything done at one time. Now I find myself walking into a room and taking a tiny gasp as I realize its actually clean again. Who knew staying away from the computer and actually working could accomplish such wonders.
I did miss you all and almost logged on a couple of times but made myself stick with it till it was done. I felt like Momma Rambo taking my home back. Also have started my younger dd on a healthier diet and have started taking her on long walks and enrolled her in an exercise program designed for kids. (she carries excess weight in her tummy which is not good). We have done just too much junk food/fast food since the surgery.
Anywho got to get older dd to work so can't post long. Will have to go back and read more posts later. God bless and so good to see everyone back on.
-
Cathi, that's usually how my Mom had mine styled...this must have been a growing out pic, in between haircuts........LOL........hated that pixie haircut....heres one of me and 2 of my brothers and a cousin, note the haircut! ugh!
-
Deb, Love the pic!
Mom glad your headache is going. You get way to many of those!
Rest up Mary, feel bettter.
-
Mary, I have never had the pleasure (?) of chemo or experienced hair loss so I have no words of wisdom. All I can offer are very gentle hugs, lots of prayers and a shoulder to lean on when you need it.
By the way, understand the married to a banker thing, cause I married a trial attorney ( medical malpractice at that!) He's truely one of the good ones!
-
Speaking of which. I'm married to a truck driver and he gets told he's #1 all the time. He is a very safe and considerate driver though.
-
ok so now I'm gonna have to learn how to post pics through photobucket, I'm going to be a computer expert by the time you guys are through with me. Can't wait to see what all arnie comes up with when she get these instructions. Deb you should teach web picture posting. You are so good at it. Just have to remember page 151 so I can look back at the instructions when I get more time to try it.
-
Cathi I saw a post with a pic of margo and she is getting cuter and cuter.
-
Hello dust bunnies
Speaking of which, Faith I loved the cute dust bunny pic.
Deb I hope you are still doing well after radiation and that expensive cream is working. I use a lot of hand sanitizer these days, but I am hoping the ones I buy in the UK are not affected.
Coonie I hope you are still taking things easy and keeping food down.
Mary It's good that you are having no nausea from your chemo, long may it continue. Sorry about your hair and exhaustion though. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Barbe what beautiful photos from the classes you taught. You are very skilled to produce work like that.
Cathi I feel envious of the temperatures you are having. I also eat a lot less when it is hot but unfortunately our sunshine has gone and it is cold and raining again.
Mom so glad your migraine has gone at last. Don't overdo the housework!
Lursa I hope you are having a better day today.
Arnie & Mr Arnie you are still in my thoughts and prayers
Shiny thinking about you too and all you have to deal with at the moment.
I mentioned before that I have been getting very impatient to see my onc and arrange to start chemo. Well I had been having no luck getting through to the oncology department on the phone so on Monday I rang one of the nurses in the breast care unit and she followed it up for me. About an hour after I spoke to her someone from oncology rang me back and arranged an appointment for this morning. So today I finally had my first appointment with my onc and I will be starting chemo on 1st July. I will have 3 cycles of FEC followed by 3 of Taxotere. I had a hair appointment booked for yesterday so I asked my stylist to cut it shorter than usual in the hope that this will prepare me a bit for when it falls out. We'll see. I am pleased to have got a start date though.
((((((Hugs to everyone in need))))))
-
Hey Jayne!! I'm feeling much better----thanks.
I'm sooo glad you got that appointment scheduled. It's just a matter of who ya know, huh? It's good to have a start date. At least now you can see an end date:) Maybe between now and then you can get some "nesting" done. LOL
Sending big gentle hugs to you today!!!!!! Keep us posted, ok?
-
Coonie, I'm Cheryl. I joined in on the conversations while you were in the hospital. I am relieved you are feeling better. I look forward to getting to know you and the other "dust bunnies".
Mary, I hope your chemo crash is gentle on you. I finished 4 rounds of TC 2 months ago and I know it is not fun. Just take one day at a time and stick with these girls, you will be just fine!
Mom, I would like to take your migraine headache demon out back and kick it's ass! Then I'd tell it to pack up and leave you alone!
My DH wanted me to tell you all I have done no housework what-so-ever today!
-
Hey Cheryl!!!!!!! It's so nice to meet you. Sorry I wasn't around to give you a welcome party:) This group is wonderful. We find alot to talk about........hehe.....especially NOT doing housework. So, you go girl!!! No housework 'cause...........well, we don't need a reason. Just DON'T do it!! LOL
-
That's what we like to see Cheryl!
-
Cheryl, be careful, Coonie talks to her piggies.
(I still don't know what that means!)
-
Cheryl, be careful, Coonie talks to her piggies.
(I still don't know what that means!)
-
LOL Barbe!!!!!!! I think it's Checkum that talks to her piggies....as a matter of fact, I think she CUSSES her piggies.......hehe.......remember, they got out?
-
I bet Checkum was cussing her cows today. Poop clean up day. How's that for housework!
-
Barb- wow, I was just catching up on the last 24 hours and saw your pixs of the bead work and the birds. Talented.
Happy dust bunnies to all, let them collect everywhere.
Dust bunnies unite.
-
We are roaming the great northwoods (we were lost -- now we're just trying to stay found.) LOL
