Know I read somewhere here that we were taking the week off in honor of Coonie's recovery but just had to get some stuff done while hubby was gone and I was home anyway with sick kids. So I cleaned my bath and bedroom including closet and washed a little laundry. Sorry but I've been a slacker for a while anyway so just gave me a chance to catch up to you all. So sorry Coonie. No disrespect intended. I promise not to do a single thing for the rest of the week.
-
I must confess, I washed some dishes and cooked today.
-
Faith- loved the dust bunny!!!
Miracle- they say confession is good for the soul. If so I confess, I did dishes also. phewww, I feel better already. Hope you do to. LOL.
Here's to the dust bunnies.
-
Tell me bout it Lursa, I told the rad tech's (both girls) I'm so used to it now that I just flop it out for anyone to see..LOL
-
And something else Ladies, how come I get yelled at for cleaning and the rest don't? Things that make ya go hmmmmmm...I htink Mom is playing favorites! HUMPH!
-
I'm home from my second AC today also. I am so tired. I don't remember being this tired after the first one. I came home and slept for a couple of hours. Woke up when DH came home, but I can hardly hold my head up. Tomorrow is the Neulasta shot. I never had any bone pain with mine. I hope I don't have any trouble with this one either. My blood pressure was within range (I'd been having trouble), so I was able to get the treatment. I was so glad. I don't want to have to delay any if at all possible. My hospital passed out scores of goodies today. I got a lot of stuff! Tote bag, several scarves, a pedometer, some Ensure and other nutritional stuff and a knitted blanket. So cute! It was fun! They said churches make and donate them. Way too cool!
And finally...my hair is coming out. I knew it was coming. My scalp hurts. Won't be long before I pick up the shaver.
And finally...I love all you ladies! I really, really do! But my sweet, wonderful, smart DH is a Senior Vice President in a bank. PLEASE don't judge all banks by a greedy, poorly run few. The bank my DH works for is very conservative lending-wise and very solvent like most of the banks in this country are. The ones who are greedy and failing are very small in number. Banks have not caused what is happening in this country. That is all I am going to say about that. Love ya gals!
Hugs for those who need it! Coonie, Arnie and Shiny- great to see you around!
-
Ok I admit it I have been a bit slacking lately in the housework and posting department.
Sending good wishes to all you ladies enduring treatments, praying each one gets you closer to the end of this journey.
Coonie - LOVE AND PRAYERS your way for sure. And Arnie still paraying for you and DH.
Life sure does know how to kick us when we are down sometimes.
I would invite you all over for snacks but as you can see - I think I need to tidy up a bit...
XOXOXOXOXO - To all
-
Mary,
I hope you get some more rest and feel better. Many people say they shave their head right when there hair starts falling out. You need to do what works for you. I will be thinking of you.
I'm sure your hubby is as wonderful as you are!!

No, Dear. I had whilms tumor. They ha d to take out my kidney. I was the first child undere the age of 14 to recive chemo.
I've been living a perfectly normal life ever since.
The rads stunted my growth on my left side about 1/4" so I've got some pretty bad sculliosis.....it's bothersome...the reason I got addicted to pain pilss years ago. I was a bar tender and convinced myself I needed them. Sheesh!

(((HUGS))) Mary. Take it easy, love. Did you see where my chemo angel sent me a beautiful necklace of a silver angel? I put it on when I got it and haven't taken it off.
Did I tell you all that I did some cleaning in the kitchen? I wrote a big ol long post this morning at 4 am but for some reason it fdidn't go on the thread.
Will someone pm me with pictur posting instructions, or point me in the right direction. I've got some pics that will make you all feel SO good about your house cleaning.
xoxo

Lursa, so sorry you had to go through that as a child. I'm gad that you have been fine since then, living normally.
I stink at the picture thing. Someone needs to start a thread with instructions so we can all do it. I think people download their photos to photobucket and then uplload from there. I don't, but think I remember others saying that's what they do.
Good night Ladies!
-
Mary, Can you please help me take my foot out of my mouth? Sorry if my words offended you or DH. What I should have said was that swim Dad was a real braggart doesn't matter if he is a banker or candlestick maker. He is a braggart because he's a jerk not because he's a banker.
Once again sorry. Hope you all know that I did not intend to say anything that would hurt someone's feeling.
-
No worries BKC. I know you didn't mean it that way. I'm just kind of touchy about it. Blame it on chemo today. Robs me of all sense of humor! Hugs to you! We're good.
And thanks Linda. Yes, he is a wonderful man and I am so lucky to have shared 22 (and counting!) years with him!!
Lursa, I missed that about your chemo angel. That is fantastic! I think it's such a wonderful program. I shared the URL with my clinical trial nurse today. Hope you are feeling better.
Night all. I am hauling my exhausted body to bed. Round #2 is making me much more tired faster than round #1 did.
-
Forgot to add- I've never posted pictures here, so I have no idea how. But yes, you do have to save the pictures to your photobucket (or some photo site). Otherwise it's stealing bandwidth and people get real touchy about that. Someone else will have to help you with posting here.
-
Ok Ladies, save the pics to wherever, photobucket, etc..I use photobucket...When you put your cursor over the picture, a box will come up beneath it. You want to to copy the "Direct Url" to your clipboard. Come here, click on the little tree, right to the left of the smiley face above where you're typing, the top line says Insert image. Paste the url you copied into that and click on insert at the bottom, VOILA, pic on here!
-
This is me and my lil brother ohhhh a LONG time ago
-
Ha got ya beat BKC, this is me a lot longer ago! LOL
-
my parents and siblings. this is the only picture anyone has of us all together. I am at far left bottom. This was not so long ago

Hi, all! I'm up late feeling a little crazy with the fatigue/insomnia roller-coaster.
Mary, I'm glad you stuck up for your banker hubby & most bankers who are ethical. I knew as soon as I opened my mouth to vent that there'd be someone on here who was a banker or married to one!! I think we all have to vent about this economic crap every now & then tho', because it's mind-boggling sometimes, and folks like Bernie Madoff & bkc's neighbor give investment folks a bad name. I'm sorry you are feeling crummy from the chemo.
Deb, when your hair follicles where they zap you start falling out, your skin might be a bit weepy from all the teensy blisters as the follicles burst. They gave me Silvadene for that, which was awesome, really cooling and soothing, so ask for that if things get hinky. And be prepared for the fatigue.
I uploaded a brochure from Living Beyond Breast Cancer about Fatigue & Insomnia for people if you need some tips.
Cathi, that photo looks just like my kitchen!!
Lursa, can't believe you went through all that so young!!! And here you are again. If you need a back massage for that scoliosis, let me know! Colorado is lovely this time of year!!
-
Good morning Ladies! Kathi, you were up way too late last night. Hope you got some sleep. More rain today, I might as well do some cleaning!
-
I'm still wondering why Deb said she hoped Coonie WASN'T using hand sanitizers....
As for bankers, well from our Northerly position here, what we saw is banks offering interest only loans and silly people jumping on the band-wagon and now their house is under-valued and they can't even afford the interest only loan! We can't claim the interest on our income tax like you guys can. The interest only loan should only have been used for someone to SAVE their existing home, not for a new purchase! I blame the people who made that decision, not the bankers...
I'm THINKING about folding a tiny load of laundry DH did. Not sure if I have enough energy to do that AND go to work.......
-
There is a recall on hand sanitizers, barbe. Some have been found to contain bacteria... Just what we/you/I needed to hear...
HUGS for all. Bridge group today and maybe a load of laundry later. Nancy

-
Mary, sorry about your hair. It's not like we don't know our hair will come out but still........
And SO, no housework for you.
-
Barb, Don't do it!!! Step away from the laundry and go to work!!
-
I never have liked any of that hand sanitizer anyway.........and it's even more detestable with LE wraps or garments.
-
Duh!
Now that I can post pictures. I'd like to show y'all one of the classes I used to teach. You bead a previously printed fabric (upholstery weight is best to hold the weight of the beads) and it looks like you are too clever! Here's a couple of pics:
And remember those birds that I said were stitched? Here they are:
-
You are very talented Barb. Nice work!!
