Barb this was a friend of my daughter actually the little girl and her Mom are really nice. This was the first time I had met the Dad and older brothers though.. Not someone we would normally socialize with. The Dad is a banker and loves to let everyone know what a high roller he is. And boy was he rollin on Saturday!!!!! He certainly made a BIG SPLASH!!!!!
I felt really bad for the wife though because her husband was making a royal ass out of himself and she was really embarrassed. I heard him boasting to several other fathers how much he was worth, how much the house cost, how many cars he had etc. This was a kids party and there was no alcohol being served so the idiot couldn't even use that as an excuse.
But I bet that belly flop was painful!!!!!!

Ok so I'm up really early this morning. The neighbors teen girls are having friends over and they are giggling in the back and talking loud enough to wake me. So it gave me a moment to pop in. I just wanted to let you know we may be doing some computer moving which usually means it takes a while to get everything back up and running. And in the midst of that I have dd to get ready for the Dominican trip so you may not see me much for a bit.
Thinking about those of you having treatments this week and Shiny praying for you to have safe travel back home. I'd say keep things interesting but I know you gals will.
-
BKC I hope his pride ws hurt. What a jerk!! I have been in that same situation at my pool, my boys and their friends are rowdy, and some kids are not, girls or boys. If it gets out of hand I make the rowdy ones leave and play baseball or something. When they come back to get in the pool, they behave. It's OK to be rowdy, just not with little ones around. The diving board broke.......LMAO!!!
Shiny, good to her from you to. Sending hugs your way. I've been thinking about you and your family.
-
Good morning ladies,
Working from home today as Felicity is sick with some kind of stomach bug. Was up with her until about an hour ago. She is finally sleeping peacefully. Hope this thing has just about run it's course because I hate it when my babies feel bad.
Linda, My girls can be just as rowdy as the boys but if smaller kids are around they know to tone it down. Water is so dangerous. We have had two drowning deaths close to our family already in the past couple of months one was a 3 year old boy and the other was a 20 year old man and so I am super cautious. Maybe even a little to much. I am just glad to know that there are really other parents out there who are paying attention to and care about their kids safety. You would not even believe how many people think it is ok to leave a six or seven year old alone in the pool. Scares me half to death.

bkc...good story...made me smile. You handled it very well! That guy got what he deserved...
No housework for the rest of the week!!! I'll see you guys after the "chemo fog" lifts...
Mr. Arnie is on probation....
-
Deb, good luck with rads!
Shiny, hugs to you. I know your dad is proud of you.
BKC, love those parents who don't give a rodent's tush about anyone else's kids. OOOOOHHH! Turned the page & read that this dad is a BANKER!! Those lovely people who helped the entire world get into our current massive economic mess!! Well, that explains it! Not only does he not give a rodent's derriere about your kids, he doesn't care about anyone! (Hope I'm not offending any responsible bankers out there....grrr) Oh, and he did a belly flop! Kinda like the economy did! How appropriate.
Mary, good luck this week. You, too, Arnie. Wish you didn't have to deal with chemo on top of everything else.
Linda, I'm glad the onc appointment was okay. So, we both get to watch for calcifications, eh? Oh, goody. Hate the little buggers.
(((((((Coonie)))))))) I'm saving the happy dance for when you are really feeling better & are home all nice & cozy in your den.
-

And may the memories of your daddy be extra extra special:)............there's alot I need at Walmart right now ........LOL
((((((((((((((((((((Arnie & Mr. Arnie))))))))))))) I've just picked up a little on what's going on, and I am so VERY sorry for all of this. Please know that I'm sending up prayers for both of you. When it rains, it pours, huh? Arnie, when you feel like it, could you let me know how things are. I'm a little confused still, but so concerned for you both.

Hey Deb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe.....lol.........actually, I don't cook much. But I did eat in NYC the week before and it has some doctors wondering??? I guess we'll never know, but I think I'm gonna go around with mask and gloves from now on. How you doing? Good to see you!!!!
-
After that show about that guy that checks out restaurants, I will never eat in NY...LOL, won't tell ya, don't want ya back in the ER. I'm great, went for my first radiation today..1 down, 29 to go...and then spent $56.99 on some creme the rad doc prescribed for me that my insurance wouldn't cover, am checking it out now to see if there is Gold in it or something..gotta be!
-
gotta be gold.........lol
-
This guys coming out to help me!
-
Deb, congrats on your first appointment. Hope it went well. Moisturize!!
Coonie, I hope you are eating well, but nothing you cooked, too spicy etc. Take care of yourself!
-
Oh Deb, thx for the laugh. (Edit to add, I'm laughing at the fellow looking for gold.) Could you wait and get the cream if you actually NEED it though. I didn't need anything.......got, good grief.......I now can't remember how many rads I got. Gonna go and check my appt. card.......I kept it. I just couldn't throw it out........
-
I agree! I used Lubriderm, Aquaphor (yucky, messy, but good) and a special cream that someone gave me from Dana Farber, can't remember what is was called. I moisturized so much that I ruined several shirts from mositurizer stains. It was worth it though. Skin held up great!
-
So far today, the grits and toaste have been the tummy pleaser. DD just brought me some goldfish and sprite. Going slow.....reeeeeal slow:)
-
(((COONIE))) Missed you SO much! I'm so glad you're home and on the mend!
Deb, when I was 5 years old, I had cancer, chemo & rads. Mom used peanut oil on my rad site. It worked just fine. Guess this is a bad time to tell you...but $56! SHEESH!
Got a new 'script yesterday and it's making me looopy...like falling down loopy so I's stayin in bed. I'll confess to cleaning the kitchen a little this morn but I didn't scrub the stove. DH will hafta do that.
SO relived to see you back Coonie!
Love you all!
Lursa
-
Well actually *I* wasn't going to buy it...but the hubby called me a Cheap*** and basically ordered me to go get it...said if she prescribed it, I should have it...he doesn't understand that the docs hands are probably in the pharmaceutical companies pockets.........I was just gonna use Jergens! With the tan stuff and get a EVEN tan at the same time..no seriously...I was gonna let her prescribe me something else. $56 coould have gotten me a new pair of jeans too! sigh.........
-
Oh meant to ask, Coonie, you haven't been using alot of hand sanitzer have ya?
-
Deb, don't let that guy anywhere near your breasts! LOL
-
Oh heck, after my lupectomy, mastectomy & subsequent 'blow-out' my MX site is nearly public viewing! LOL!...."Can I see?" "Sure, there's nothing there TO see." HA!
-
Lursa, did you really have cancer, chemo and rads at 5 years old? Tell me that's a typo.
