Mary, you made me tear up
(had to show pic so you didn't think I meant tear up).ehhehehe
Amazing how the ripple effect of it all happens.....
-
I found it!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Faith.
-
OK. Go to the big section on Recovery, Renewal
Then go to the Forum in the last section of that area called "Inspirational"
Right this minute, the "Blessing Scarf" is at the top of the thread-pile.
Hope this helps.
Wish I knew how to post the direct link. DUH??
-
Mary, what a wonderful story..........people can really amaze us with such thoughtful deeds.
-
LOL. You found it, while I was attempting to type out the map to find it. LOL.
-
Sorry Faith, I'm a bit of a computer ditz. It would help if I took time to 'read' things.
-
That's what blew me away the most. I wonder how many other wonderful things people do and say in our honor that we never even know about. It's amazing.
Faith, off to check out your scarves. You are so inspiring!
-
Mary, great story!!
Barb, make sure you stop by and say hello whileyour down there!
-
Barbe my oldest dd who is 18 was asked to go on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic later this month. She will be going with my brother and his family. The first day they are going to take her to one of the beaches there so she can see the ocean. Then its off to where she will see all the mission work they do there, school, clinics etc. I know it will be a great way to spread those wings of independance and at the same time see the need others face on a day to day basis.
It will be our first time with her gone so far away so pray I don't have security dragging me sobbing off the runway saying "Wait, wait dont' take my baby.......
)
-
Mom, what a great experience for her! I guess she is going to heaven too!
-
Trust me Linda as I see what you wrote and then hear her and her little sister in one of their constant arguments it makes me grateful being heaven bound rests in His work in us and not in what we do.
Cause in and of ourselves we wouldn't be making it too far I'm afraid.
-
From what I've experienced, Hell is a LOT closer than heaven! In fact (taking the chance of a huge rebuttal from y'all) I think THIS is Hell. We are in limbo which is why it is so hard. This is a chance to get to Heaven....
-
You have been through alot Barbe, too much for anyone to go through. Hell however to me from what I read means seperation from God. Here we have troubles, sickness etc. but we aren't seperated from Him even when we go through the rough times. Its what I realized when I was diagnosed with cancer. I finally understood that verse:
Romans 8:38-39 (New International Version)
38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So even in the midst of cancer there can be peace cause while it can take our bodies it can't touch our heart relationship with the Lord unless we let it.
(((((((((((((hugs my friend)))))))))) wishing we were all closer so we could give you a group hug instead of a cyber one.
-
Barb, I 've heard that theory before. Interesting.
-
Good Mornin all Housework haters...anyone hear from Arnie this morning bout her hubby? Man, I feel like a lazy bum...everyones been up for hours, course I "do" stay up later then you guys..(in my defense!) And Barb, I'm starting to believe what you said............
Hugs to all!
-
Nope, I've heard nothing from Arnie today. Anyone else?
Deb, you are NOT a lazy bum.........hehehe, are we allowed to say bum?
I didn't believe (or want to believe) there was a hell but now after what Barbe said.........I think she's right.
Gentle hugs everyone.
-
Well we don't go to bed till around 2 or so...he works 2nd shift, can't go to bed any earlier, says he needs time to relax and wind down...so we always sleep till around 10 or so....
I'm not sure on the Hell thing...I always heard Hell was full of flames....at any rate, hope I NEVER find out..God does give points for "trying" to be good doesn't he?
-
Sharon, on the bum issue, Mom will let you know!
I got PM from Arnie last night but haven't heard anything today. I'm sure she knows we are worrying and praying. She will let us know something as soon as she can.
-
Mom, interesting about the "separation from God" theory, that's why I think this is "limbo" which I think is mentioned in the bible. A sort of holding zone where we have a chance to redeem ourselves.
-
Barbe doubt any of us is capable of redeeming ourselves, just picturing how most of us probably act when someone turns in front of us or cuts in line at the grocery.
Totally believe thats why we need the Lord, So I'm trusting in His righteousness and not my own. In the meantime while its faith in His work on the cross that saves us, the fruit of that starts growing in our lives. Thats one way I know faith is real like when I want something my way and then God's word comes to mind and I know that He says to share or love or think of someone else. His way always proves to be better not only for myself but for others.

Awww Coonie! Have we ever missed you. So happy that the food is staying down, that is definitely an answer to prayer.

-
Hubby is a library director Barbe so finding it should be no problem.
I'll ask him if he can find it for me when he gets back home.
It is nice to see Coonie back isn't it. Then again we missed you too when you were gone FOREVER down in the Dominican.
-
Coonie it's good to see you back! Our prayers have been answered.
