I second the motion. Coonie Rocks!!

Shiny thinking about you and your family tonight. Saw this verse and wanted to share it with you.
Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you:
I have called you by your name, you are mine.
Should you pass through the sea, I will be there with you;
or through rivers, they will not swallow you up.
Should you walk through fire, you will not be scorched
and the flames will not burn you...
Do not be afraid, for I am with you.

Is it diet coke? Sure! I'll have some!

Happy June to all housework addicts or recovering addicts !!!!! I wonder if there is such a thing as withdrawal from this? or is it like a chronic, hereditary, inborn, congenital condition?? Maybe we could get some research $$$ to go on a trip (preferably to a resort area or beach) to "research" how and why this condition continues even in the midst of medical emergencies, treatments and other things that demand time and energy.
-
Nancy, sign me up. I can research anything from the beach. It's especially helpful if I am on a lounge chair with an umbrella drink in my hand.
-
Let the research begin!!
Have you seen Barbe's pictures on Facebook, yet?? Glorious!!
Everyone have a blessed 1st!! 1st day of the month. 1st milestone. 1st belly laugh of late.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Shiny, thinking of you this morning and sending you encouragement.

Well I started tackling the laundry (again) and doing a deeper de cluttering than the one before. Gonna get this down to a science. The last de cluttering got it to where at least when everyone threw down I could get caught back up within a day if I gave it my full attention and "volunteered" them to work with me.
Now on phase 2 I want to tackle it so it takes even less effort to get this achieved. At the same time trying to keep dd from being a couch potato during summer break and figure out a more health conscious diet for all of us. (of course I'm saying this as I'm muching on a tootsie roll dd got at a friends birthday party yesterday). If any of you have a week long healthy menu plan laying around feel free to pm me a copy.
Oh, and if you have the grocery list to go with it.......
-
Mom, I need to borrow some of your housework credits, PLEASE? Mr. Floor hasn't met Mr. Vacuume in over 3 weeks!
I 3rd Coonie's nomination!
(((hugs 2 everyone!)))
P.S., I will be seeing BS this morning. I have LOTS of questions for her!
-
Lursa we wouldn't let you being doing any housework if we were all neighbors. You can have all the housework credits you want sweetie. Although if you saw my house right now from my decluttering clutter mess you wouldn't think I had earned any....ever......!
-
Where is

Good Morning All....sucking down coffee trying to wake up here, beautiful pics Arnie!!!!!!!!!!! Hope all have a great day, both physically and mentally!
-
I did a major cleaning of my desk and computer area this morning. My computer seems to have stopped working, so we took my computer out, and moved my daughter's desktop and monitor (that she hasn't touched since the day her laptop arrived) into their place. We can piggyback the old hard drive eventually, but at least I have a computer in the meantime.
That and a couple of loads of laundry is plenty of housework for today!
-
Glad to see you back Arnie, you bring a special sparkle to the thread.
Deb woke up with another migraine today so I may need a cup of that coffee myself.
Patmom I know what you mean about the laundry, its enough to do in one day.
-
morning all, or afternoon on the east coast. Ds home from university for the summer, so nice to have everyone home together; at least until next weekend when dd goes off the camp for the summer.
Hope everyone is well today. Shiny, thinking of you and sending gentle hugs. Arnie, so sorry you weren't feeling well...love the pictures, hope you're feeling better. Coonie, Texas and Lursa- hope you are all resting from treatments and not feeling bad.
Hugs to everyone! Pat- have you ever looked at flylady.net? great stuff for cleaning and purging (even stuff for kids!) didn't do the whole "program" but found LOTS of info, tips and tricks to use w/family.

Wow, I had to read back about 17 pages, but I wasn't going to miss a single post as I love each and every one of you! I was able to post yesterday on favourites that only had a post or two since I've been away, but this thread had to be savoured....
then the site closed down this morning for a while.
So anyway, as I said on another thread, I strutted that resort like I had the best pair out there! I found that I stopped being nervous at about day 2. It was interesting to see people look and then the "penny drop" as they realized what it must be. Cancer bridges all languages.
The wedding went fine! No drama, no fights, no real drinking at all, no one hurt, etc. When our bus arrived at the resort, DH and I were the first off and my ex and his wife were there to greet all 28 of us that were on that flight. So, the first thing I did was hug Joanne and then Rob. My kids were blown away, very emotional for them apparently, so I'm glad I did it!
I got teary eyed when my ex came to the room to get my DD and I "presented" her to him. Joanne and I had worked side by side getting her into the dress and all. It was really good bonding time as usually if we were in the same room Rob's mother would always be near me as if I were going to put a knife through Joanne's heart or something! Not. I left him.
(22 1/2 years ago!)
Cried like a baby through the service. Started when Ed started crying as he watched his bride come down the aisle to the outdoor gazebo. She was just beautiful! Oooh, now I can say SIL!
So sad to read the progression through this thread! So much pain since I've been gone. I was tempted to use the internet down there, but I take at least an hour a day going through my favourites, so the $$ would have added up!
I give you all a big hug; death, hematomas, tires, nausea, fatigue, and all the pain. Did Oliver get a B9 report? Does anyone know?
I'll try to post pics here, I did it once......
Love to all!
-
Barbe, sounds like a really good trip on many levels, healing as well. So glad for you. Missed you lots, just not the same without you!
-
Noticed some changes on here too Barbe. Change not too comforting right now in my life I like things to feel the same, even on this board but they said they had to with the financial burden it was so I understand. Funny I use to thrive on change, new things.....(sigh)
Took dd out to play in a little wading pool we bought her yesterday. Not big enough to swim in but she had fun non the less and she wasn't in front of the tv.
The wedding sounded beautiful and if I ever figure out my facebook password I'll try to go in and see them. Faith said they were gorgeous.
Arnie hope you are feeling much better today, you too Lursa, tell us what the BS had to say.
EWB hope your day is going well too, we are having a scorcher here.
Mary sending some more peppermint your way in case you are needing it.
-
Soooo glad ya had a great time Barbe and like the others, I will admit it, missed you and your sense of humor! Not much going on with me, start Rads the 4th, bout it....other then that, suffering with a boil...seems like Chemo brought them on...this one is in a BAD place...Guess will have to get butt back to the dermatologist.
Hugs and love
Deb
