Ohhh no Shiny !!! I'm SO terribly sorry for the loss of your Dad. My heartfelt thoughts, prayers and good vibes are being sent your way. Daddies are so special. Mine passed away on 5/29/00 at the age of 60 years. He was my hero and I miss him everyday. I'm sending (((((((((((((((big gentle hugs to you and your family)))))))))))
-
Shiny... I hope you can get some rest... will continue to pray for your family and a safe journey for you. I too miss my daddy, passed on 10 years ago, mom 18 years ago. The neat thing is... I have so much of them in me that I still feel their affect and presence in my life. I call it "hugs from above"
Good nite all you beautiful ladies...
-
Awwhh Arnie....beautiful story. I feel my dad with me too.
How was the pancakes this morning?
I think I'm gonna hit the hay earlier tonight too!
(((((((((((hugs again for you Shiny))))))))))) Bless your heart!!

Good.... I decided on strawberry pancakes... funny story: My younger sis (we call her caboose, because she's the last of 6 of us) picked me up. She's already seen me bald, but the sister and brother we were meeting hadn't yet. I have a cute wig, but choose not to wear it. I had my pink Michigan State baseball cap on and pink dangling earrings. When we got to restaurant my older sis, (whose husband Jim passed last April from Renal cell CA) got tears in her eyes when she saw me, I said "Don't you cry Judy, you can laugh but don't cry". We went in to sit at a table til' by bro got there. As I was handing my sister's their menu's I knocked a whole glass of ice water over and when I bent down my baseball hat fell off! lol You should have seen Judy's eyes.. lol Bless her heart. Anyway, of course the whole part of the restaurant we were in was looking in our direction... I got up, went and got the waitress and we were seated at a different table. The waitress and I started joking around and laughing and then a few other people came up and told me to "fight the fight" One lady shared about her mother having had breast cancer... and commented on my good attitude. Well, my brother comes in and hugs and hugs me. He said, sis are you bald, bald or do you have some hair... well I whipped my hat off again and said, bald, bald. Well we all had a good laugh after that. I had a blast! The waffles were wonderful. Sorry to go on so long......

-
Good night sistahs! Love you all!
Arnie, thanks for the wonderful story! So emotional!!
-
Arnie what a cute story. And I could use some strawberry pancakes. Think I'll go have a bowl of cereal for supper.
I think I'm gonna call it a night soon. Just had dress rehearsal for my 5 year olds recital which is tomorrow night. This is her first year and my word some of these parents take this so seriously! It's nuts! I've never seen such a thing. I put my daughter in dance so she could have fun and there were a whole lot of kids who were not having fun! I just told her to have fun, smile, and do the best she could. The mother next to me looked at me like I was nuts and told her 5 year old she better do good or else!!! YIKES!!! Or else what????
-
bkc, you've done good girl. (But you don't need me to tell you that.) I feel sorry for the other little girl. How sad.
-
BKC, your daughter will do just fine and flourish! The other will be in therapy for years!
-
Popping in to say goodnight. Hubby and I took the two girls out to dinner to celebrate their end of school and the excellent grades they both came away with. We let one choose where we would have dinner and the other got to choose where we got dessert and what movie we rented. Then dad took them and let them each pick out a special treat. It was a nice time to bond.
Sharon and arnie your pics are great!
Linda sweet dreams.

Goodnight everyone..... sweet dreams

Mom... what a neat family night... they will remember these family times forever. When our kids were young we used to let them go to Toys R Us and pick out something as a reward for good grades.... they looked forward to it all semester. I remember one time we all picked out nerf guns... we used to have these "nerf" wars all over the house with a lot of laughter. When we were over my dd's house on Mothers Day, her dh had taken their son to get my dd's gift. What did they get? Nerf guns! lol I guess my dd has such fond memories of those times that she asked for family nerf guns for Mother's day...lol
-
Sweet memories of family time. Take lots of pictures so later on you can "embarrass" the kids with their fiance or inlaws... I think we had gotten almost every Lego set there was as rewards for our (only) son over the years. He still loves Legos and I always put one in his Christmas stocking.
Not much going on here. I have cut out some dammit dolls, and some neck coolers. If my fingers cooperate, I may stitch up on the sewing machine and stuff a few. That is not exactly house work, but more fun and a "hobby".
Have a great weekend and enjoy family time. HUGS, Nancy

Good morning dust bunnies! It's so special hearing the family memories. That's what it's all about. Congrats to all the kiddos getting out of school for the year. It's a fun time for them.....maybe not for the moms........LOL
Arnie I'll be thinking about you today and sending you some high energy vibes for that walk....hehe.......thank you girl for what you're doing!! Your breakfast story was great! Made me cry and made me hungry:)
Shiny my heart is heavy for you today. I know you've got alot on your plate right now. Sending logs of hugs and prayers to you for strength and courage to get through these times. ((((((((((gentle hugs)))))))))
BKC I bet the recital is beautiful. If it's our kids, it doesn't matter how it sounds. It's music to our ears. Which one is it.......Porshalin or Felicity?.......Give the girls big hugs for me. Cameo too:) LOL........Sharon and Linda are right!! You've done good!!
Is Barbe coming home this weekend? It sure looks different without her here??? Hope she's having a wonderful time. Can't wait to see the pics!!
((((((((((((big hugs to everybody))))))))))

Arnie sounds like you have been blessed with a wonderful family as well. Your breakfast story had me teary eyed too. I have always been a relationship person, still keep in contact with friends from my college days. Love family etc and having this diagnosis of bc showed me even more that when it all boils down there is only one thing that matters and thats LOVE.
-
Morning Nancy and Coonie what are you gals up to today?
-
Hey MOM....I hope I'm not up to much today.......LOL
Worked alot this week at my real job. Just need some good ole rest and relaxation today. For me, that may be working in the yard if it's not too hot. I have some bushes that need to be trimmed in the worst way......before they grow over the top of my house....hehe
Tomorrow is promotion Sunday at Sunday School. We'll be promoting the little ones we had all year and getting a whole new group. I always cry on this Sunday. I miss them when they move up to the next class, but always get re-attached to the new ones.
What's on your agenda for the weekend?
-
Hi Gals, Busy morning. My son is at the soccer field and I just came home to check email. Do I get mother of the year?
Just wanted to say hello! Gotta get my but back there!
Linda
-
Good morning Linda!!! Yep..........I'd vote for you for "Mother of the Year"..........treat yourself today!! No housework......LOL
Enjoy the soccer game:)
-
Coonie I know there are a ton of yard sales out there today but I am trying to resist the urge. I don't need any more stuff no matter how cheap or interesting it may be. Maybe will put the effort into catching up the laundry.
I'm betting those kiddos in your Sunday school class are gonna miss you too Coonie.
Someones at the door gotta run, tshirt on and no boobs.
-
Good morning girls
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am off to a Karate tournament, Woo hoo I get to spent the whole day in a gym. Well hope DS #2 has fun anyway. Talk to you all later.
Lori

Coonie, today are the practices, tomorrow are the games. It's a weekend affair! BUT, the sun is out and shining so thank you for sending it my way!!
Mom, I went to a yard sale on the way home from the soccer fields. I tried not to but the car pulled over by itself and stopped. I hate when that happens. My son, of course, found some cool nerf guns that power shoot balls all over the place. Couldn't leave without them. I found really old tupperware individual hamburger freezer containers. When I was little my Mom had them. So, I bought them. 10, for 50 cents!
