To all the wonderful ladies that make my day and keep my spirits up - HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
Sorry you have to work Barbe.
-
One of the best days of my life was when I became a mom. No career or corporate office, fancy car or designer piece of clothing will ever be able to compare with those chocolate covered kisses, those smiling eyes or even just the joy I feel when I hear my children call out that word Mom. I felt that God had let me in on what heaven must feel like the first time I held my dd in my arms. Then to think He let me get to experience that again a second time at the age of 43 with dd#2. I feel very blessed.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you friends here too.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Hugs, Blessings, and LOVE, Nancy

Happy Mother's Day to All!
I took a 5K walk this morning with thousands of others at the Philly Komen walk. Here is a picture of the survivors coming down the "Rocky Steps" of the Art Museum just before the start of the race.
and then we picked up a puppy to foster
I don't know how much housework I'll be getting done while she's here, but puppies get adopted fast, and she's adorable so I expect to be down to the two big (70 lb) puppies that are always here by the end of the week.
-
Awwhhh Pat...........that looks like so much fun...and what an adorable little pooch too!! God bless you for all that you do!! ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

people that are like a mom to alot of us. Take care, Debbie
-
Pat, very moving picture of the sea of pink t-shirts. I wonder if the lady in the foreground crowd feels funny that she's wearing pink too....or is she a survivor as well? See how I think too much! Sheesh!
-
morning, dust bunnies...............
hugs to each & all -- those doing housework, those thinking about doing it, those not thinking about doing any, and those who have given up thinking about housework at all. LOL.
hot flash wake up call for me......
have other work to do in my house (email) before the day gets underway.

Good Morning! Sun is out but it's only 38 degrees! UGH! I hope my plants made it!
-
Makraz.... I hope your plants make it too! Dh got me some beautiful jewelery...but I liked the two large ferns he gave me better...lol I love to hang a large fern in front of my picture window... and one over the pond in the back. Gonna get my annuals Memorial Day weekend...sooooo looking forward to it!
faith... know about those hot flashes.... haven't had one in awhile...hope they're done for me...
-
We were supposed to get a frost overnight. I don't plant annuals anymore, just use different bushes. I can kill plants faster than a drought can.......sigh.
I do remember planting WAY before the May holiday weekend. Global warming my ass!
-
Morning all. Hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day. I am in shock here cause hubby actually called in sick from work! He's one of those guys who goes in sick, wind, hail........you get the picture, would have made a great mail man. Anyway he must be feeling pretty rough because he never misses work. I got up early to take dd in to school so he could sleep in.
In fact I may just jump back in under those cozy covers for a few extra winks myself before I have to drive dd#1 to her job. Then need to tidy the house back up.
I do have to share though that after clearing out all the excess or most of it anyway that this is the first Mothers Day I think I can remember that my number one request for a present wasn't that someone do the housecleaning for me on that day. Now it just gets done so much faster. So worth the effort it took to get here.
-
Good morning everyone. Sorry I missed wishing Happy Mom's Day -- I got wrapped up in my mini pity party, but got over it as soon as I saw my son waiting for me at the concert. The music was great, Mexican food for dinner, and they gave me a ride home so I didn't have to take a taxi. My DIL and son made a donation to honor me, which brought tears to my eyes. They know I do not need or want anything, so that was a very special gift.
The rain has stopped for now, but very cloudy out there. I weeded out some more junk and have to get it over to the dumpster before I decide I "need" it again... Now to clean up the papers sitting on the table. Happy Monday. HUGS, Nancy
-
Couldn't resist...lol Mom2two... Hope dh is feeling better soon!
Lefty... So glad your special day turned out so well :-)
It's certainly chilly here too...but determined to go trim some bushes...lol
No housework until it rains outside!!!

Good morning Dust Bunnies:) Hope you all had a great Mother's Day. Some of you are up really early today. I've worked on our pool all weekend and hope to post a before and after picture a little later today or tomorrow. There's a big difference in the color now:) It's more BLUE than ugly green this morning.
MOM...so sorry your DH isn't feeling well. Hope it's nothing serious.
NANCY...that was so sweet about your son and DIL. That's a very thought gift. I know it made your heart swell with pride.
LINDA....our 38 degree nights are over until next January, I'm sure. I think it's already 83 degrees here this morning and it's not even 9:30. Have I ever told ya'll that I HATE hot weather.....uuuuggghhh
BARBE....you working today? Hope they give you a day off for Mother's Day. Your trip is getting closer and closer.
SHINY....I'll be thinking about you today. I hope everything goes as expected. It sounds so "neat" to say going to London....hehe
CALIGRL....your son is so cute, and his date is too. They grow up so fast, don't they?
FAITHIE....hope you have a good week. I know you will enjoy the wittle ones. Can't wait till you head for the south. I've already making plans:) Wish we could get Sharon down here from Canada some how. I might send her a plane ticket, and just tell her to GET ON
hehe
OK.....I've got lots to do today, but I don't think I'll have time for housework...hehe....I'm babysitting my mom's dachshund this week ( so that means I have 3 dachshunds in the house). It's like having another kid and it's pretty stressful. Especially when a fight breaks out........over food of course! I'm getting a list of my little Sunday School kids (about 43 four year olds) who are receiving trophies for memorizing their memory verses this year. They will get their trophies next Sunday, and they are sooooo excited!
(((((((((((big hugs to all))))))))))
Those in treatment or after surgeries.....OhioDeb. Shiny. MaryRose. Seltzer. Lori. Arnie. Kathleen (hope you're feeling better). Elaine (you too). Pam (missing you). Nana(hope you're feeling ok) KAK (hope your week is good)...I'm loving your blog! Footie..I'll be praying for you this week. Hope your pain level is low. Sunkistmi...thinking of you.... Cathi, it's your first Mother's Day with Margo:) ....My sweet Canadian friend (Sharon)...I sure hope you're not doing housework today:) Hey Flash...hey Patmom....2new1's, sure hope you're feeling well and hope your dad is too.. hey to Lursa and Candie too.....hey to anybody else I missed. Brain is a little foggy this morning. ((((((((((((((hugs EVERYBODY)))))))))
-
Coonie, Send the hot wether my way! It has warmed up here to about 50. Windy and cool! Have fun with the dogs. That is what I had as a child. Love those dogs!!
KAK, I've got the bug again. I'm going to send it south! I have cleaned the microwave, hung my sheets out on the line, did several loads of laundry, changed the beds, and vacuumed. I am also making dinner for my neighbor who's going through a tough time. Real good friend of mine so I am trying to help her out. She is a BC survivor too! 11 years!! I will need to take her kids to baseball after school so I need to get out dinners made early.
Hope you all are having a great day!
-
Linda....I'll be glad to send you some of this heat. We can even it out....I'll take some of yours and you can take some of mine:) It's so sweet of you to help your friend. You've done that before. I wish you lived near me
hehe.
-
Coonie! Why am I not "your sweet Canadian friend" too!
