Thinking Out Loud.....

Yes, it is the best news that everyone is phsically safe.
Sheila, that is kind of you to offer your home to your daughter & her friend. I am guessing that the power company probably started with the easiest places to restore power. By doing that they could get the most people back on, in the shortedt amount of time.
-
My sister is still without power. She lives in RI. I work for her husband and also with my neice. I feel so bad for them.
-
DD got power last night.....
Life is getting normal for some of us and harder for others............
So sad.........
I feel like I'm not doing anything to help others.......Locally they are not asking for help.....
(((TOL)))♥

I think you should deliver the bags of GF you can't eat to those in need
-
LOL Diane...i only bought 1 bag before the storm...and it's long gone......
-
Sometimes just taking care of yourself and staying out of their way is helpful.
-
Just reporting we started to have mini power surges.....I hope it's nothing
Just in case if I disappear you know what happened

Just heard most parts of lower Manhattan has power!! Still more to go but hopefully that will help a lot of people.

lalalalalalalalalalalalalla
I'm so bored.....
-
Does your whole area have power back?
-
No not yet......
-
As of this morning NewRochelle alone had over 14.507 households without power...
-
I sure hope they get it back soon. Nor'easter heading our way on Wednesday. Not good.
-

HI
Went shopping with DD....
I have GF and peanut butter
Veggies and some fruit

I hope it is not snow. I brought in a lot of garden stuff like little artsy fartsy stuff. Turtles, Frogs, twig chairs, stuff like that.
So many lives were lost from this hurricane, it is going to take a long time to recover.
-
The last couple of hours I was busy chatting with Santa Claus,,,,,,,,
I will be chatting until I find what I want before Christmas....
Good Night all♥

It sure is good to hear everyone's come through the storm. Mainly inconvenience here.
Power & cable out Mon.-Thursday. Work closed 5 days. Next crisis: gas lines...
Made DGd's fancy birthday cake, left a perfectly comfortable heated electrified house (mine) to travel to DD#3's in NJ, still on generator. I had to use 3/4 tank of gas for round trip...but it was worth it. SIL working 12 hour shifts for power company but no power for them yet. Guess they are "power-less"
Sheila, glad to hear no damage. Ducky, I hope you get good news from the beach front...not sure where you are. Chris, DD had 3 feet of water in her CT crawl space and 5 ft. water mark on house. Guess it wasn't so bad inland? Val, I heard the storm had made it to the midwest. Hope it fizzled out.
Hope the new storm doesn't knock out power.
Be safe, be patient, and be grateful for coming through the storm.
Joan
PS - Sheila, I threw out my frozen sweet potato fries...they looked wimply...I should have cooked them! -
So glad things are coming back on for you ladies back east.
I went shopping yesterday and bought my dress for the wedding. I also bought a pair of shoes fo $ 7.50, but am not 100% sure they are "the ones".
Picked up the two suits for DSs and bought a suit and shoes for DH and bought the cutest little size 2 3-piece suit for Patch.
Thirteen days and counting.

Thanks Meece.....
Still so much suffering power outage is becoming from inconvenience to an Emergency....Temperatures are falling....people are cold...
I heard NY opened warming centers......
I'm trying not to get excited...but between Election commercials and Christmas sales.....Hurricane Sandy's fury...I feel like screaming.....
God be with those who were left with nothing or lost their lives....
Good Morning.....I have power...able to make my morning coffee and cook for that i'm grateful........
Where is Linda?????
Meece...You are an extraordinary woman to be able to do all that.......we are counting with you.......♥
(((♥TOL♥)))+(((♥TOL♥)))==LOVE and FRIENDSHIP....♥

Had a bridesmaid at the house until 10:30 last night trying to fit her.
-
Did you feel like slapping her?
-
Happy sunday!!
-
Cleaned up the flower beds, cut down all old stalks of flowers and dumped everything in the mulch pile. Looks like a mountain now but it will compost soon. I hope we don't loose power with this next storm coming. DH is doing a paper show in Marlboro, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I will help him on Saturday. Seems like when ever he plans to do a show, a storm comes.:o(
-
Sorry for not checking in. Very busy weekend. 3 soccer games and my dads birthday celebration. I'm exhausted!
